They already started working to merge Qualcomm’s 3D Sonic fingerprint sensor with BOE’s flexible OLED displays. For this partnership, they are expected to deliver thinnest and high-security fingerprint sensor-enabled display panels. This will be an opportunity for smartphone OEMs to build unique products.

Rather than increasing the product quality, the collaboration will make an impact on the expenses of R&D and BoM, as well as on the streamlined supply chain. Wenbao Gao, executive vice president, and chief executive officer of display and sensor, BOE said, “BOE will start shipping flexible OLED panels with integrated Qualcomm 3D Sonic sensor during the second half of 2020.”

We look forward to further strengthening our innovative collaboration with BOE in key areas like 5G, XR and IoT.”

Apple releases Mobility Data report to help in COVID-19 prevention steps

0

Apple releases a Mobility Data trend tool a few days back. The stats will help the Government and health authorities so that they can take proper steps to prevent COVID-19 infection spread.

The source of raw data is Apple Maps. This report shows the changes in the density of people driving, walking or availing public transports at their localities.

Apple-Mobility-Trends-report_TechnoSports.co.in

Apple assured they didn’t keep anyone’s location history and Apple Maps is not associated with the user’s Apple ID. The company only counts the number of requests for a destination in major cities and 63 countries or regions. And that is utilized to build the report.

The Mobility Data report will update daily and anyone can download the complete data-set in CSV file format.

Mobility-Trends-report_TechnoSports.co.in

Rather than publishing the Mobility report, Apple also provided additional efforts. They donated over 20 million face mast to the front line warriors i.e. doctors, healthcare staff, etc. They supplied 1 million masks per week to the neediest areas around the globe.

For the policemen, cleaning staff and other people, Apple helped Stanford Medicine to build an app for self-screening, and schedule testing appointments if needed. They also update Siri and Apple Maps to provide useful links and information from authenticated sources.

Rivaldo wants Barcelona to sell Ousmane Dembele

0

Barcelona legend, Rivaldo says this summer to be the ideal time to sell Dembele and give the Frenchman the chance to reignite his career somewhere else.

Young Dembele has been cursed with injuries at Barcelona and he hasn’t shown his full potential at the club since his joining from Borussia Dortmund back in August 2017.

His recent hamstring injury required surgery in February has sidelined the Frenchman from the team and was ruled out for the entire season which lead Barcelona go for an emergency signing in the form of Martin Braithwaite.

Dembele Rivaldo wants Barcelona to sell Ousmane Dembele

Dembele will turn 23 on May and he is still young to get good market value when he is sold. His future is regularly the source of speculation, and Rivaldo thinks it’s time to offload Dembele.

“Ousmane Dembélé signed for Barcelona almost three years ago and he has already had enough time to establish himself in the club and prove his value. It’s possible that he will never show his quality at the club.

“He is still a player with huge potential, but I think this summer could be the right opportunity for Barcelona to sell or even exchange him for a player they’re chasing already.

“He’s been unlucky with injuries, but he might also have tried to give more at some moments. Things haven’t gone according to expectations and he might be able to revive his career at another club where he will feel more confident to play at his best.”

There are rumours suggesting Barcelona might be interested to sell him while some say he is yet to stay at Barcelona. On the contrary, the fact remains that it will be difficult for the club to find a seller given his injury history.

Even if he is available for next season, he will find a hard time establish himself as Barca are set to strengthen their attack.

The likes of Lautaro Martinez, Neymar who Barcelona are speculated to arrive this summer will given more minutes. On the other hand, youngsters like Francisco Trincao and Pedri will be playing at the Camp Nou this summer.

Barca may give up hopes of bringing Neymar due to the Coronavirus crisis

The Blaugranas have tried a lot to bring its once parted star player Neymar Jr back to the Camp Nou somehow but they were unable to do so last season. Now when football has its uncertainty of resuming, transfer market is further affected for all the clubs around the globe.

This summer too Barcelona were hoping to land the Brazilian to the Camp Nou but the latest report suggests that the Catalan giants can no longer afford to sign him this summer.

Lluís Canut and Xavi Lemus at CatRadio have reported that Barca “have ruled out” signing Neymar. They will instead focus on bringing in Lautaro Martinez as well as renewing Lionel Messi’s contract instead.

Barcelona can announce Neymar today: Rakitic, Dembele to be swapped

The €170 million fee for Neymar is currently huge for Barcelona and given the current financial situation, Barcelona have let a star player like Coutinho, Dembele, Griezmann go to make money for the Brazilian.

So, naturally, Barca’s priorities are now bringing in Lautaro Martinez as a replacement for Luis Suarez and extending Messi’s contract that currently expires in 2021. Also, the Spanish league champions plan to renew the contract with goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen which will cost a lot for the Blaugranas.

The report tells that renewing the contract of Nelson Semedo and Luis Suarez are also on Barca’s to-do list, but they will completely be on the contrary to their performances in the coming future.

Microsoft Surface Go 2 with Wi-Fi 6 & LTE support to launch in April alongside Surface Book 3

0

The Surface Go 2 leaks have been floating around since months, the new Microsoft device is surely to receive upgrades over last-gen and the FCC listings also proves that. It was previously speculated the device to feature Intel Core m3-8100Y processor but the listing says there will be Pentium Gold 4425Y powered variants as well.

The much need IEEE 802.11ax i.e. WiFi 6 is on board, making the Surface Go 2 in line with its other products like Surface Laptop 3 or Surface Pro 7. Much expectedly, the 2-in-1 will also feature an LTE variant with a wide range of support including WCDMA, HSDPA, HSUPA, LTE FDD and LTE TDD.

There’s a model name C3K1927, the FCC also lists its HW version as EV2 which we spotted earlier this year on the 3DMark listings, so the EV2 will be featuring an Intel Core m3-8100Y onboard. On the other hand, subsequent 3DMark listings have shown that Microsoft will probably offer Pentium Gold 4425Y-powered Surface Go 2 also.

The Caschys Blog reports that Microsoft will unveil the Surface Book 3 by the end of this month. Apparently this will be an online-only event, where Microsoft will launch in detail both its Surface Book 3 along with Surface Go 2 or there could be a spring announcement as well.

Apple TV could get refreshed with A14 SoC, HomePod to run on tvOS

0

A new report from 9to5mac states that there will be an Apple TV refresh featuring Apple’s next-generation A14 SoC which we will likely to see on Apple A12 series. It’s been quite some time now that the Apple TV has been refreshed and if the rumour is correct we do will receive a refreshed product this year.

Now one question might rise in your head as well that why A14 SoC into a streaming box? Even the new iPad Pro doesn’t receive a huge upgrade, from its existing A12X to A12Z which do have minor changes. In fact, these SoCs have as much power as an Xbox One S which could indicate one thing.

Apple TV could get refreshed with A14 SoC, HomePod to run on tvOS

Apple is wants an entry into the gaming market by embedding such a powerful chip into TV box but can they beat the next-gen Xbox Series X and the upcoming Sony PS5? The answer seems unclear still.

Also, reports tell that the Cupertino giant has switched the software on the HomePod from iOS to tvOS which is quite strange.

Apple previously changed the iOS to the iPadOS exclusively for the iPads, so this could mean we will be experiencing a new HomePod hub may be, connected to the Apple TV with a total Apple ecosystem. It is said that a new HomePod mini is also in works too according to the code snippets.
