Mbappe wants to share his Ligue 1 top goalscorer trophy with Ben Yedder

The 2019-20 Ligue 1 season had been ended abruptly due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The French league is the first of the top five European leagues to end the season. The others among the top five European leagues – Bundesliga, LaLiga, Premier League and Serie A is heading towards resuming the season.

PSG have been crowned as the Ligue 1 champions. The league winner was decided on a points-per-game basis.

PSG’s Mbappe and Monaco’s Wissam Ben Yedder both had 18 goals in the league before the season was halted due to the COVID-19 outbreak. But Mbappe alone has been awarded the Ligue 1 top goalscorer award.

The Ligue 1 officials explained Mbappe was given the award because he reached his total by scoring more of his goals in open play.

Mbappe wants to share his award and give credit to Ben Yedder as well. He tweeted: “Thank you all for your messages. I do think that Wissam also deserves a trophy, as they did in the Premier League last season, to reward his year.”

In the 2018-19 season, Liverpool duo Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane shared the Golden Boot with Arsenal striker Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang after the trio all finished on 22 goals.

Mbappe has shown a great sportsmanship spirit by offering to share his award with Ben Yedder.

Real Madrid and Kylian Mbappe have been in the transfer talks for about almost 2 years now. Club president Florentino Perez wants to bring the World Cup winner at the Bernabeu.

Head coach Zidane also hasn’t hidden his admiration for the PSG forward. It was rumoured that Mbappe was finally about to sign for Madrid this summer but the Coronavirus pandemic has played the spoilsport.

Unai Emery coached the France international for a season at PSG in 2017-18. They won the Ligue 1, the Coupe de France and Coupe de la Ligue together. The Spaniard believes Mbappe has the talent to define an era at Real Madrid if he has decided to make the move.

Emery told AS: “Of course he [Mbappe] has the ability to mark an era in [Real] Madrid.”

“Advise which league to play in? When I was in France, I love that he was there because I enjoyed it. When I went to England, I would have liked him to play in the Premier League. And if I return to Spain, I want him to be here.”

He further added: “Look, surely there will be things from PSG that fill you up and maybe some will not, and there may be Real Madrid.”

“We are lucky to have and export the two best teams in the world, which are Real Madrid and Barcelona, and I would like them to continue having the best players in the world.”

Daniel James was angry when his move from Swansea City to Leeds United failed last year

Daniel James was about to join Leeds United last year before his move to Manchester United. The Wales international agreed to head to Leeds before the move fell through as the window closed. He has revealed his anger on the move falling apart last year.

James told former Swansea team-mate Kenji Gorre on the Living The Dream podcast: “I got to Elland Road about 6 pm, did all the pictures with my shirt, all the interviews because they wanted it to go out in the morning, and then it was strange.”

“It got to about 9 pm and I’d signed all the papers and then it was from club-to-club. I had people texting me saying, ‘What’s happening?’ and I literally didn’t know. It wasn’t until 15 minutes to go until I thought, ‘This might not happen now.'”

“I ended up ringing the chairman [of Swansea] to ask him what’s happening. It was all a bit crazy and then it wasn’t done. I threw my phone. I thought it’s not real. The chief exec of Leeds wasn’t happy at the time, but then it was just a case of driving home. It was a very weird situation and I think it helped me in some ways.”

The failed move to Leeds United became a blessing in disguise for James. He played the season for Swansea City and finally made his big move to Manchester United before the start of this season. United signed him for a reported fee of £15million in June 2019.

Giorgio Chiellini is known for his calmness and leadership qualities. The Juventus captain is due to release his autobiography named ‘Io, Giorgio’ next week.

In his autobiography, he has accused his former Italy team-mate Mario Balotelli of being “a negative person”. He has also taken a dig at Felipe Melo.

The Italy defender gave an interview to La Repubblica newspaper about the book. He said: “I was really let down by two players and I confirm everything I wrote in the book. Balotelli is a negative person, with no respect for the group.”

“During the Confederations Cup against Brazil in 2013, he didn’t lend a helping hand for anything, he really did deserve a slap. Some people thought he was among the top five strikers in the world, but I never even considered him in the top 10 or 20.”

Microsoft claims all-day battery life for the Surface Headphones 2 of up to 20 hours with ANC turned on. It also has a quick-charge feature and lets you enjoy one hour of playback time with just 5 minutes of charge.

Overall, the Surface Headphones 2 looks promising and its decreased price of $249 (around Rs.18,946) will encourage users to go for this. Its availability in the US starts from May 12th onwards.

Xbox Series X gameplay revealed for the first time with 13 new titles including Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

We were waiting for this for a long time and finally, Microsoft has revealed the new Xbox Series X gameplay for the first time ever. The new Xbox is one of the mot anticipated game console ever that is power by AMD Ryzen and Radeon graphics and promises smooth 4K gaming experience for all game titles.

Microsoft went live on all of its social media including YouTube, Mixer and Twitch to reveal its 13 brand new gaming titles that will be released for the Xbox Series X and have been optimized for the gaming console as well. 

Obviously, the pandemic has disrupted every sector and Microsoft didn’t go as planned and there’s a delay in the shipment of the console. To maintain the hype of the console, it detailed its Xbox Series X specs and the gameplay, which we were eagerly waiting for, has finally been brought to light.

So here are the 13 game titles revealed:

The gameplay is at 4K and looks really smooth and detailed and Microsoft stresses on the fact that these titles are Xbox Series X Optimized. According to Microsoft’s storage solution for Xbox Series X, the game load times should improve drastically and with AMD’s hardware you can expect up to 4K 120 FPS ideally.

Microsoft also boasts the fact that the gaming console will support hardware based ray-tracing and it will be interesting to see how these games adapts to this modern tech. Obviously these games need to support DirectX 12 Ultimate for Ray Tracing and among these, 9 gaming titles will feature Microsoft’s Smart Delivery System.

Back in November 2019, Disney launched its streaming platform Disney+. At the end of December, the subscriber count crossed 16.5 million and in till 8th April, the graph goes up to hit 50 million. Now at present, the worldwide subscribers of Disney+ are 54.5 million and counting. The company releases this information a few days back.

In the beginning, Disney estimated they will get 60 to 90 million subscribers by the end of 2024. But in just around 6 months, they achieved more than 50% of their goal. This customer growth rate makes Disney+ the world’s one of the fastest-growing streaming platforms. If it can hold the rate, the mission for 90 million subscriptions will be fulfilled within this year, for sure.

There are mainly two reasons for the growth. The first one is obviously Content. They have plenty of rich content like Star Wars and Marvel shows, The Mandalorian, and more. Mumbai, India – April 21, 2020: Kingston Digital, Inc., the Flash memory affiliate of Kingston Technology Company, Inc., a world leader in memory products and technology solutions, today announced its SSD business continues to grow at a strong rate following an astounding 2019. SSD demand through Q1 2020 remained high due to continued growth in the client, enterprise and OEM sectors. Since 2019, Kingston has broadened its SSD portfolio with three new client SSDs, five data centre-specific drives ― two of which achieved VMware Ready™ status ― and launched its first U.2 NVMe PCIe solution.

Market share data for 2019 from analyst research companies Forward Insights and TRENDFOCUS showed Kingston in a strong leadership position. Forward Insights ranked Kingston in first place in worldwide channel SSD shipments with 18.3% market share, ahead of semiconductor manufacturers Western Digital and Samsung (16.5% and 15.1%, respectively). According to forwarding Insights, almost 120 million SSDs were shipped in the channel in 2019.

“Demand in the channel remained very high as overall shipments increased 36 percent from 2018,” said Gregory Wong, president and principal analyst, Forward Insights. “Kingston’s competitive product portfolio and extensive distribution enabled it to outgrow the market by a factor of two.”

TRENDFOCUS placed Kingston as the third-largest supplier of SSDs globally, with 10.4 percent market share, behind Samsung and Western Digital. In 2019, TRENDFOCUS reported that 276 million SSDs were shipped worldwide, an increase of 36 percent year over year. NAND consumption remained high as SSD shipments continued to surge in both units and average capacities throughout the year.

Favorable pricing for a good portion of 2019 helped drive demand in the client space, enabling increased SSD-attach rates from the OEMs,” said Don Jeanette, vice president, TRENDFOCUS. “Moving forward through the rest of 2020, SSD-attach rates in PCs will remain strong, with continued strong demand for SATA SSD in various data center deployments, as well as continued increases with Hyperscale buildouts for PCIe.”

“The 2019 research findings from both analyst firms validate Kingston’s growing presence and position in the SSD market,” said Ariel Perez, SSD business manager, Kingston. “We continue to solidify our presence in the client space with strong SATA offerings as well as distinct NVMe solutions optimized for notebooks and desktops. In addition to the growth in OEM and partner manufacturing, we are proud to deliver several new enterprise solutions with predictable performance and greater dependability for a variety of applications and host environments.”

While we are waiting for the upcoming flagship from POCO, we came to know about a new smartphone alleged to be POCO M2 Pro. This phone is said to be a mid-range device that will feature Snapdragon 720G SoC. Reports claim that the name of the smartphone appeared io Xiaomi’s official website but now it has been taken down. The data showed a result of its SAR testing.

The model number of the phone is spotted as M2003J6CI and code named as “gram”. Though the retail name is not fixed yet but the model number hints to an extent. According to GSMArena “there’s a firmware ready for the “gram” and has also appeared in a kernel source code for the Redmi Note 9 Pro and a watermark in the default camera app for the “gram” has also been found”.

Reports also claim that Xiaomi is working on the POCO M2 Pro may be related to the Redmi Note 9 Pro. Both may also shame most of the features which means that the phone will feature Snapdragon 720G or may come with similar SoC with compatible software.

POCO is organising a global launch event on May 12 where the company will launch the upcoming flagship of the brand and may also launch this mid-range device at the same time.
