Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich has now finally unveiled their away jersey for the 2020-21 season. They had already released their home jersey for the next season.
The new away jersey is very simple with almost no designs. The off-white jersey maybe a hit with the fans for its simplicity.
Spain world cup winning legend Xavi Hernandez, who is currently the coach of Qatar club, Al-Sadd, has now tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday.
The Coronavirus pandemic caused the Qatar Stars League (QSL) to be postponed since March. It just resumed on Friday and Xavi has tested positive so he won’t be able to coach his teams in the final five rounds of the league. Al-Sadd are currently third in the league table.
Xavi Hernandez wrote in his Instagram: “Today I won’t be able to join my team on their comeback to the official competition. David Prats will be there on my behalf as head of the technical staff – coach to the Al-Sadd reserves.”
“A few days ago, following the QSL (Qatar Stars League) protocol, I tested positive in the last COVID19 test. Fortunately, I’m feeling ok, but I will be isolated until I am given the all clear. When the health services allow it, I will be very eager to return to my daily routine and to work. I’d like to thank all the authorities, especially those working in [the] QSL, [the] QFA (Qatar Football Association) and [at] Al-Sadd for supplying the means of early detection, reducing the spread of infection and that guarantees the normal development of the competition.”
“Take care and see you soon on the football pitch! ⚽”
Xavi has been heavily linked with a return to his former club Barcelona to replace Quique Setien but he has extended his contract with Al-Sadd till 2021. But the deal has a Barcelona-only clause which will allow him to leave his job at Al-Sadd and join Barcelona.
As of now, Xavi has no intention of returning under this Barcelona board. But if Victor Font wins the next Barcelona presidential election, the Barcelona legend will most probably change his mind and manage the Barcelona team.
The rivalry of the two Kolkata based clubs, East Bengal and Mohun Bagan are well known to all the Indian football fans. Both the clubs played I-League last season, with Mohun Bagan winning the 2019-20 title.
Three-time ISL winner ATK has now merged with Mohun Bagan to form a new club, ATK Mohun Bagan FC. This merger will allow Mohun Bagan to play in ISL from the next season.
After their counterpart joined ISL, East Bengal are also in the lookout for new investors to participate in the ISL as Quess backed out from their partnership with the club at the end of last season.
The West Bengal government are still helping the Gold and Red brigade to find new investors and play in ISL from the 2020-21 season. But East Bengal’s hope of joining ISL took a massive hit on Friday.
Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL), organisers of the Indian Super League held a meeting with all the club representatives on Friday. FSDL made it clear that they want to continue with 10 ISL teams in the next season instead of adding new teams.
A source close to FSDL told PTI on Saturday: “East Bengal didn’t have a chance after April because it takes time with so much of legalities and other important things involved. From April till November they had more than six months but once they have crossed that, there was no chance for East Bengal.”
Although FSDL has decided not to add new teams, East Bengal are still hoping to find a way out to play in ISL next season.
An East Bengal official told the ISL doors were still “open” for them. He said: “There was no official meeting. You can say these are all rumours. The door is still open for us, and we are in talks with a potential investor”.
The 2020-21 season of ISL will start from the middle of October or the first week of November. The whole tournament will be played in a single venue, Goa. This decision has been taken as a measure for the COVID-19 outbreak. The dates and venue will be officially announced on 7th August.
FSDL will conduct an online workshop in October for all the ISL clubs to make them understand all the rules and regulations of the next season.
Oppo launched the A72 5G launched today and has already been spotted in several online retail sites and has also been confirmed by the company. We have seen the 4G variant of this device back in June but only for China. This time also the smartphone is unveiled in China. The phone has 5G connectivity but has compromised in the camera department.
Specification of Oppo A72 5G

To everyone’s surprise, Intel is really having a bad time as in its note to investors the Silicon giant was open to its woes. We were all wondering why Apple suddenly switched to its own Arm-based chips for its entire lineup.
Now it seems much clear as Intel has revealed the fact that the company is facing ongoing issues with its 7nm node. So, this, in turn, will push back the production of its 7nm chips by another six months from what was previously forecasted.
So this will ultimately delay Intel’s first 7nm based chip until 2022, making this 12 months behind its original production schedule.
“The company’s 7nm-based CPU product timing is shifting approximately six months relative to prior expectations. The primary driver is the yield of Intel’s 7nm process, which based on recent data, is now trending approximately twelve months behind the company’s internal target.”
According to Notebookcheck, Intel is also putting in place contingencies so that its chips could be fabricated by any third parties if somehow it can’t get its foundries online. On the other hand, AMD is strong with its total 7nm product line for its CPUs and APUs for desktop, laptop, and professional use.
This year, AMD is supposed to launch its 7nm+ based Zen 3 architecture and a wide range of products associated with it. Not only CPUs, but AMD is also big on GPUs as well and we would see a major GPU announcement from the company soon.
However, in its notes to its investors, Intel did end on a positive note as its 10nm based CPUs are on track. It’s 10nm based Tiger Lake CPUs for mobile will be coming towards the end of this year while the 10nm based Alder Lake desktop and Ice Lake server CPUs are supposed to be ready into action for the second half of 2021.
FC Barcelona is urgency of selling few players and we already knew the fact and it seems the club has transfer listed a dozen of players for this upcoming summer transfer window, according to Marca.
The Blaugranas want the cash for their upcoming target Lautaro Martinez but getting rid of so many players won’t be that much easy for Barcelona. Also, the club’s wages bill is the highest is the world so selling off few heavy weights can help to reduce that as well.
They have already made a deal with Juventus for swapping Arthur for Pjanic and so even before the Champions League campaign ends, the board wants to arrange the funds for the transfers.
There are a total of 12 players who are being treated as potential transfer deals to get in some funds into the club, among them, some are in Quique Setien’s plans in the first team, while there are players who are about to return from loan spells elsewhere.
The list includes Neto, Nelson Semedo, Samuel Umtiti, Junior Firpo, Ivan Rakitic, Arturo Vidal, Ousmane Dembele, and Martin Braithwaite, along with the returning Carles Alena, Rafinha Alcantara, Jean-Clair Todibo and Philippe Coutinho.
Neto has not got enough this season because ter Stegan seemed fitter than usual while Semedo and Junior Firpo are being treated as the cash fundings as they are both potentially well-poised full-backs. Umtiti has lost his previous form after the World Cup injury and has not been able to impress for the last two seasons while Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal are getting aged to stay in the Barca midfield.
via Marca
Dembele has been unfortunate with his injury problems and is working hard to make a return in this Champions League and the emergency signing Danish international Martin Braithwaite is already been shown the exit door. Coming to the loanees, Alena is showing great potential at Betis including Rafinha and Jean-Clair Todibo, surprising to see all of them loaned out, but now they will be rushed to get some cash by the board.
While for Coutinho, the Brazilian has lost his sublime form, which he had in Liverpool, and has failed to impress the German giants as well which has made him a burden for Barcelona. But selling off both Coutinho and Dembele won’t be that easy for the Barcelona board but for Dembele if he shines at the Champions League still the board could consider his stay at the club.
Paris Saint-Germain took on Saint-Etienne in the Coupe de France final on yesterday night. PSG won the final by Neymar’s solitary goal. Mbappe’s fierce shot was parried by Moulin into the path of Neymar, who smashed the rebound in off the bar from close range.
But the win was overshadowed by Kylian Mbappe catastrophic injury followed by a mass brawl. The referee first showed a yellow card to Loic Perrin for the foul on Mbappe but afterwards changed the yellow card to red card by consulting with VAR.
The extent of Mbappe’s injury is not known yet but it looked quite serious which has put Mbappe’s participation in PSG’s Champions League fixtures this season in doubt.
Thomas Tuchel told at the news conference about Mbappe’s injury: “Anyone who saw it is worried. Anyone seeing that foul is worried.”

Tuchel also commented on the mass brawl: “It started with a foul on Neymar. We took three yellow cards after the foul on Kylian. And, at the beginning, he gave a card for this foul, and we, for having asked to protect the player, we took three.”
“These are not the same criteria that are applied. I say this for all players. Viewers are there to watch players, people watching TV too. And most importantly, to protect all the players, not just mine. It’s a game for the players and it wasn’t like that.”
PSG will face Lyon in the Coupe de la Ligue final next week before a huge Champions League quarter-final clash against Atalanta in Lisbon on 12th August.
This year AMD has changed the game for laptops with its revolutionary 7nm based Zen 2 APUs, be it gaming or daily task, these processors are real showstoppers. But did you actually know how these APUs perform in content creation? AMD has taken the chance to explain how its collaboration with Adobe has helped tune them to optimize hardware for AMD Ryzen 4000 processors.
Content creator across the globe are facing problems in this Coronavirus pandemic but they have to get their jobs done and usually a laptop is a great option for most out there due to its portability. But most laptops cannot deliver the performance you want out of it, editing videos at 4K is not a matter of joke and that requires tremendous horsepower.
Until now getting a professional job done on a mid-range laptop was a joke, crappier CPUs were flooding the market, people had to spend a lot to buy a decent laptop for getting the work done. Times change, things too, AMD’s Ryzen mobile chips brought some real improvements but until last-gen, it still locked to 4 cores and 8 threads, still good for heavy workloads but this year’s 6-core and 8-core options from AMD has changed the game.
Many laptop vendors are switching to AMD and making cost efficient laptops like we see from HP, Lenovo, ASUS and others, while beefier gaming laptops from MSI, ASUS, Dell and HP are also stealing the show. Both the Ryzen 4000U and Ryzen 4000H mobile processor lineups are great for video editing and rendering tasks, while the 15W TDP delivers superior battery life, on the other hand, the 45W TDP options gives insane performance on mobile.
AMD in its blog has shared some insights into their new optimizations made in collaboration with Adobe and what kind of results its mobile processors have been able to achieve:
Adobe Premiere Pro gets AMD GPU Hardware-Accelerated Video Encoding Support
Tuning the software with your hardware is very important in any professional application because if the software cannot utilize your hardware power, it doesn’t make sense at all of buying a high-end laptop. As AMD points out, video editing applications like Premiere Pro have long been able to utilize the power of your GPU like Adobe’s Mercury Playback Engine uses OpenCL with AMD graphics cards to accelerate tasks like rendering video effects.
Now the 14.2 update to Premiere Pro has hardware-accelerated encoding support for the H.264 and HEVC formats for AMD GPUs on Windows. This will help use your graphics card while exporting your video, which is indeed time-consuming. The update uses AMD AMF (Advanced Media Framework) multimedia processing technology to speed up video encoding on systems with any AMD GPU.
To gain the advantage of this you won’t essentially require a discrete Radeon RX GPU but also any Ryzen U-Series mobile processor can take advantage of this using the integrated Vega iGPU. So, ultrathin AMD powered laptops will also be able to deliver faster video exports in Premiere Pro but having a powerful AMD Ryzen H-Series mobile processor with a discrete AMD Radeon RX graphics card significantly can take advantage of this.
“Close collaboration with hardware vendors like AMD enables the optimization of our applications for next-generation CPU and GPU technologies,”said Sue Skidmore, head of partner relations for the Adobe video team.“We’re seeing terrific progress across the board, which directly benefits our users. Thanks to the ongoing efforts of engineering teams on both sides, we will continue to make performance gains for video and animation production workflows, wherever our users are working.”
Performance Gains
AMD was also kind enough to show how its new Ryzen 4000 mobile processors perform during video editing and rendering. Both the Ryzen 4000U mobile processors with integrated Radeon Vega graphics and Ryzen 4000H mobile processors with discrete AMD Radeon RX 5000 Series Graphics for laptops perform.
With AMD GPU-accelerated video encoding enabled in Adobe Premiere Pro 14.2 and higher helps AMD Ryzen 4000U powered laptops to export 4K content up to 29% faster.
The 14-inch Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 or named as Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7 in North America was tested with AMD Ryzen 7 4800U, was able to export a 4-minute extremely high-quality Apple ProRes 4444 4K 60p QuickTime video clip to the Premiere Pro H.264 4K YouTube preset in 12:20 minutes versus the 17:22 minutes it took when exporting with just the CPU.
Even the more budget Ryzen 5 4500U on an HP ENVY x360 13z convertible laptop too can perform very well in professional workloads as AMD shows is 25% faster and the HP ENVY x360 15z convertible laptop with an AMD Ryzen 7 4700U seems 26% faster.
AMD also tested the recent Dell G5 15 SE that features more powerful AMD Ryzen 4000H gaming processors along with Radeon RX 5600M graphics. Using the Premiere Pro 14.2 (and higher) GPU hardware-accelerated encoding support the laptop exports the same 4-minute Apple ProRes 4444 4K 60p QuickTime video clip to the H.264 4K YouTube preset in 5:16 minutes, which is up to 43% faster than software-only (CPU) accelerated video encoding.
The new MSI Bravo 17 with the AMD Ryzen 7 4800H & AMD Radeon RX 5500M graphics can export to the H.264 4K YouTube preset in 6:06 minutes makes it 35% faster than encoding without GPU-acceleration on the AMD Ryzen 7 4800H alone.
Obviously, these are some healthy figures these new AMD Ryzen 4000 powered laptops have been able to achieve that will indeed help content creators, video editors to edit and render videos on the go using Adobe Premiere Pro. The portable AMD Ryzen 4000U powered laptops still gets the job done at respectable time frame without sacrificing the portability and comfort of using them while the AMD Ryzen 4000H and Radeon RX graphics powered laptops deliver desktop-like performance.
