The Mountain View giant has been speculated that it will not be using Qualcomm chips into their Pixel 5 lineup and will be using some custom-developed SoCs. A post on Clien.net last week clarified the specs of the new custom 5 nm Exynos SoC that Google is working in partnership with Samsung.
This SoC is built on Samsung’s 5nm LPE node and is said to feature two Cortex-A78 cores, two Cortex-A76 cores, and four efficient Cortex-A55 cores.
The mobile processor has been codenamed Whitechapel and on the GPU front, the SoC is touted to feature the unreleased Mali MP20 processor with twenty processing units but Google is likely to implement its own ISP and NPU in place of Samsung’s. Axios has even claimed that Google has already received working versions of the chipset.
However, if you might be speculating if this chipset will be used on this years’ Pixel 5 then you’re wrong. Axios has claimed that the Google-designed chip is expected to be ready to power Pixel phones not until 2021 and subsequent versions of Google’s chip could power Chromebooks.
Whitechapel will also include hardware optimized for Google’s machine-learning technology and a portion of its silicon will also be dedicated to improving the performance and “always-on” capabilities of Google Assistant.
Obviously, this move from Google to shift away from Qualcomm is because to cut down costs and for greater control of its business. But as for now, according to reports, the new in-house chip from Google is real and will feature on flagship smartphones in 2021, maybe on the Pixel 6 series and on the future Chromebooks as well.

Tottenham’s kit sponsors Nike was thought to be the one leading the race to gain the naming rights. But Amazon has also entered the race now and they can easily afford the deal as it emerged the company’s value reached £1.1trillion on Wednesday.
Daniel Levy is trying to secure a £25million per season deal for 10 years. If Amazon purchases the naming rights for £250million, it would be the most lucrative stadium agreement of its kind in history.

The former Vice President of Barcelona, Emili Rousaud believes that Lionel Messi will renew his contract at Barcelona soon and Neymar could land to the Camp Nou this summer.

Apple iPhone SE 2020 is technically launched today with less noise and more dignity and it will go on pre-order from Friday, on April 17 around 40 countries. It will then start shipping one week after that, on April 24 onwards.

Price and Availability:
The Honor 30 is priced at CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs.32,400) for the 6GB + 128GB model, at CNY 3,199 (roughly Rs.34,600) for the 8GB + 128GB model, and at CNY 3,499 (roughly Rs.37,800) for the 8GB + 256GB variant. The Honor 30 Pro, on the other hand, is priced at CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs.43,200) for the 8GB + 128GB model and at CNY 4,399 (roughly Rs.47,600) for the 8GB + 256GB variant. Lastly, the Honor 30 Pro+ is priced at CNY 4,999 (roughly Rs.54,100) for the 8GB + 256GB model, and at CNY 5,499 (roughly Rs.59,500) for the 12GB + 256GB option.
The Honor 30 series comes in Magic Night Black, Wizard of Oz, Titanium Empty Silver, and Neon Purple color options. The phones are slated to go on sale in China on April 21. There is no word on India release at this point.

IPL is like a festival for the Indians which runs for a month. This year, the 13th edition of the IPL was scheduled to begin from 29th March. But due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the whole of India was locked down until 14th April, initially. So, the IPL 2020 was postponed till 15th April.
Yesterday, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the lockdown has been extended till 3rd May. The Coronavirus has affected more than 11,000 people in India and over 400 people have died. So the Indian government is trying to enforce the lockdown to prevent the Coronavirus from taking more lives.
BCCI president Sourav Ganguly had previously hinted at the postponement of the IPL. He told: “Practically speaking when life has come to a standstill everywhere in the world, where does sport have a future in this. We keep monitoring developments. At the present moment, we can’t say anything. And what is there to say anyway? Airports are shut, people are stuck at home, offices are locked down, nobody can go anywhere. And it seems this is how it’s going to be till the middle of May.”
After Narendra Modi officially announced the extension of the lockdown, a meeting was held regarding the postponement of IPL 2020. BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, BCCI secretary Jay Shah, IPL chairman Brijesh Patel, BCCI treasurer Arun Dhumal, and IPL’s chief operating officer Hemang Amin were present in the meeting.
The Board has decided to suspend IPL 2020 indefinitely. They will again meet after 3rd May when the government will announce the new guidelines regarding the COVID-19 outbreak.
IPL broadcasters Star Sports and the eight franchises have already been informed of BCCI’s decision of suspending the IPL 2020 indefinitely. An official announcement will be made soon.
BCCI treasurer Arun Dhumal dismissed the speculations regarding the October-November window for IPL 2020. Dhumal told: “Everyone wants IPL to happen but let’s have some clarity first. Tell me one thing. Firstly, if Australia is under lockdown for six months, how can we conclude that they will allow their players to travel from next month right away? What if the travel restrictions for its citizens are still in place. How will they come to India then? And don’t forget that other boards also need to agree.”
“Even if we are in a position to conduct a tournament, for international players, we need to give them a bare minimum time to do full-fledged training before we can start a tournament. All these factors can only be clear when we are in a position to discuss.”
If BCCI fails to conduct the IPL this year, it will incur a loss of around Rs 2500 crores. Every franchise also gets a minimum of Rs. 150 crores, which they won’t get if there’s no IPL this year.
All the major sporting events which were scheduled in 2020 have also been postponed. Euro 2020 and Copa America have been shifted to 2021. All football leagues and other sports have also been suspended.

The Blaugranas have been the fan of the Frenchman centre defensive midfielder for quite some time now. Also, Philippe Coutinho wants an exit from Barcelona and he want a Premier League move this summer.

Chelsea seems very interested in landing the Brazilian to the club to strengthen their attack which got worse after the departure of Eden Hazard last year. So, the Premier League giants are planning to bring him anyhow and in this economic crisis many rumours are floating out.
Mundo Deportivo reports that the Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante is now a target for the Blaugranas and MD reckon the fact that some kind of swap deal could be on the cards.
Barca were after a midfielder and we heard they were interested in Fabian Ruiz off lately. So, to replace the outgoing Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal, their “so-called favourite” Kante can help to replace the aging Busquets in the coming years.
Barca have previously tried to arrange a move for Kante but they found it too difficult. Now they feel that Kante has not enjoyed a “stellar role” under Frank Lampard and the uncertainty in the transfer market might help.
Coutinho is also keen on a move to Chelsea, while MD did reckon there could be some kind of swap deal like the one Barca did last summer with Jasper Cillessen and Neto.
This could help Barcelona in both ways, to offload Coutinho as well as get a perfect replacement for Busquets bringing down the average age of the midfield.
