Asus Chromebook Flip C436 2-in-1 laptop with Comet Lake-U CPUs starts at $799

Samsung recently started shipping its premium as well as expensive Samsung Galaxy Chromebook convertible at a whopping price of $999. To follow them, Asus has started shipping its new Chromebook Flip C436 in the US and will be quite similar to the Chromebook 715 carrying a hefty starting price of $799.99.

Even though of its hefty price tag, the Chromebook Flip C436 2-in-1 laptop has a lightweight magnesium alloy chassis weighing just 1.1 kg. The Chromebook features a 14-inch NanoEdge FHD touch display bordered by 4.9 mm bezels on three sides, with its slightly thicker bottom bezel coming in at 7 mm.

The Chromebook Flip C436 measures 12.6 x 8.1 x 0.5-inches, comes equipped with a 42 Wh battery, and for the ports we have two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C ports, a 3.5 mm jack and a microSD card reader. This Project Athena laptop that can run for up to 12 hours on a single charge.

It features a precision-engineered mechanism, the versatile 360^° ErgoLift hinge on ASUS Chromebook Flip C436 has a silky-smooth action that holds the display securely at any angle. It has a Quad-speaker along with upward-facing soundbar.

ASUS Chromebook Flip C436 has a full‑size backlit keyboard that boasts 1.2 mm of key travel to make typing more comfortable and accurate and a fingerprint sensor is incorporated into the keyboard for faster unlocks.

The Flip C436 supports the latest Universal Stylus Initiative (USI) 1.0 standard to give you a natural-feeling active stylus experience so you can unleash your creativity: draft notes, sketch, or jot down your ideas whenever they strike you

Originally announced back a CES 2020, the Flip C436’s entry-level model, will retail for $799.99 featuring a Core i3-10110U processor, 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of SSD storage. If you are ready to spend $999.99 on the Core i5-10210U model along with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of SSD storage.

Even though the Flip C436 will also be considered as an expensive Chromebook at $799 so it will obviously be targeted towards professionals but with its hardware capabilities, it’s far better than the Google Pixelbook Go. Check out the Asus official site.

Thomas Muller is as important to Bayern Munich as Oktoberfest is to the city of Munich

Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer has compared Thomas Muller to one of Germany’s most famous event, Oktoberfest to signify his importance to Munich.

Thomas Muller has been a one-club man till now. He has spent his entire career at Bayern Munich. He made his debut back in 2008. Since then he has been an integral part of the Bayern Munich team.

The 30-year-old has made 521 appearances for the club. He has scored 195 goals and provided 146 assists till date.

Muller has recently signed a contract extension which will keep him at Bayern at least till 2023. He lost his way in the team under Niko Kovac but after the appointment of Hansi Flick, he has rediscovered his way into the team and once again he is back to his prolific best.

Hansi Flick has been appointed as the permanent manager till 2023 which has probably helped Muller to decide to extend his contract.

Herbert Hainer said, as published on Bayern’s Twitter account: “It is of course very good news and I was incredibly happy when I heard it.”

“Thomas Muller is a hero, a symbol of FC Bayern Munich. He’s spent his entire footballing career here and he’s blossomed once again in recent months under Hansi Flick.”

“He provides so many assists, he’s an outstanding player, and I think that Thomas Muller belongs to FC Bayern, much like Oktoberfest belongs to the city of Munich. And in that respect, that’s really great news.”

He further added: “As head coach of FC Bayern Munich, you will of course be measured by titles and that will certainly be the case with Hansi Flick.”

“But we are absolutely convinced by Hansi Flick. If you look at what he has done with the team over the past few months, he has not only got the team winning, but it’s also about the way the team plays.”

“They play incredibly attractive, great, attacking football, they score a lot of goals and win most games. They’re already so good, but I’m convinced Hansi Flick will continue to develop this team.”

Xiaomi’s next phone with Waterfall Display and Under-Screen Camera patented design

Xiaomi had filed this patent in September 2019 with CNIPA, and the patent was reportedly published on April 3 and has now been included in the Global Design Database of the World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO). The patent document was cited by a Dutch website called LetsGoDigital.

A waterfall display is essentially a curved screen that goes slightly over sides of the phone. This latest patent from Xiaomi showcases a new way to use and portray the waterfall display using the utmost of the smartphone body. The display uses the maximum portion of the sides of the device as the patent showed in the pictures.

From the above pictures, we can see that the waterfall design uses more than 60% of the screen at the sides. The pictures show that all the physical buttons on the side of the device will be converted into digital buttons and the side screen can be utilized for displaying notifications and battery percentage and other short messages. This will help the front screen to display maximum content.

The report also suggests that the phone will come with an under-screen camera to make the most use of the flawless display. The report does not disclose any clue regarding the camera rather than the company’s prototype of an under-screen camera showcased in 2019. Except for this, we do not know any other details about this patented device from the source. We will keep you updated with the latest news regarding this topic as soon as we get any.

The console maker has finally revealed its new PS5 controller after announcing the key specs of its next-gen console. The new controller has got a substantial redesign over the previous DualShock-branded controllers, it has totally changed the design perspective and has been named – ‘DualSense’.

At the first look, you might think the design to be quite similar to the Xbox Series X controller with a huge similarity with the previous DualShock design approach. The new design and two-tone look make it even more interesting also the controller’s weight has been reduced while retaining a strong battery inside.

Sony has made other changes as well, particularly in terms touch and feedback response. The new adaptive triggers into the L2 and R2 buttons makes you feel the tension of actions like when drawing a bow to shoot and arrow or feel the grittiness of driving through mud, etc.

When Microsoft has added a ‘Share’ button into to its new controller, Sony has removed it, replacing it with a new ‘Create’ button. Neymar left Barcelona for PSG in 2017 for a record transfer fee of €222 million. But he hasn’t quite settled in Paris yet. Since then, he has been linked with a return to Barcelona in every transfer window.

Last season, Messi publicly wanted Neymar at Barcelona and Neymar too went public with his wish of joining Barcelona again. But the transfer didn’t materialise. Once again, as all the football leagues are suspended due to Coronavirus, the transfer speculations have risen to the surface. Neymar has again been linked with a Barcelona return.

Another player who has been linked with Barcelona in recent times is Inter striker Lautaro Martinez. The Argentine is expected to be a long-term replacement for Luis Suarez.

Suarez doesn’t feel his place in the team is threatened and would welcome both Neymar and Martinez at Barcelona.

He told Mundo Deportivo: “It is difficult to talk about players today. As is the situation in the world today, talking about who can come because of how everything is complicated. But I can speak about what these players are like and they are huge players.”

“Obviously, Ney, everyone knows him and we know the appreciation that we have for him in the dressing room, which as a player is indisputable because he still has a lot to give and in the dressing room he would always be welcome because of the affection he has.”

“Lautaro is a player who has been growing a lot in Italy, he is a ‘nine’ who has movements that are spectacular and that reflects how great a striker he is.”

“It is not that you feel compatible but that you feel happy that the club wants to incorporate players who come to help and fulfil the same objective of everyone – that of wanting to win everything.”

“Then when it comes to healthy competition in the team, which there will always, we will always be on the same side. So players who come to fight for a place and help the team will always be welcome, it will always be better and it will strengthen the group.”

Marco Reus has been an epitome of loyalty in today’s footballing world. He has played his heart out for Borussia Dortmund. He wears the club captain’s armband to near perfection.

Reus joined Borussia Dortmund from Borussia Monchengladbach in 2012. He was a part of the dominant Dortmund side who won two consecutive Bundesliga titles during Jurgen Klopp’s era.

Many of his teammates, Robert Lewandowski, Mario Gotze and Mats Hummels joined Bayern Munich later. Lewandowski has turned into one of the best No. 9s in the world at Bayern while Gotze and Hummels have returned to Dortmund again.

Bayern Munich has also tried to lure away Reus from Dortmund. But he is loyal to his club and won’t leave them for Bayern.

Marco Reus said: “The request came, as it did from other clubs. I have the greatest respect for Bayern Munich and what the club has been doing for decades. But I always wanted to play for BVB. It was always the club my heart drew me to. When I played in Gladbach at the time, it was clear to me: within the Bundesliga, I only change to Dortmund, otherwise I go abroad.”

The 30-year-old further added: “I think it is also important for the fans that there are guys like Thomas [Muller, who recently signed a contract extension until 2023 at Bayern] and me. They notice that we identify with their club as much as they do it themselves.”

“It has always been my dream to play for BVB. Here I have everything to be happy: my home, my family, my club. And this feeling has always prevailed – even if another country with a different culture might have been attractive.”

All the health organizations, NGOs, media are trying to prevent the spread of misinformation. For example, Google launched a website only for COVID-19 related information, the Indian Government launched the Aarogya Setu app and so on. Now, WhatsApp announced their steps.

WhatsApp is one of the renowned and used media all over the World. So, a huge percentage of wrong information people are spreading through it. The authority is working against it for a long time. They already introduced the double arrow sign on the top of forwarded messages. Along with it, they set a limit of up to five people or groups a person can forward a message at a time. As per WhatsApp’s official post, this step decreases 25% message forwarding.

The Authority declared they are going to be more strict. They are reducing the message forwarding limit to one. That means a person can forward a message to only one person at a time.

To be honest, they are not against message forwarding. In the official post, they said, “We know many users forward helpful information, as well as funny videos, memes, and reflections or prayers they find meaningful.”

They also added, “In addition to this change, we are working directly with NGOs and governments, including the World Health Organisation and over 20 national health ministries, to help connect people with actual information.”

The restriction is not applied yet. But WhatsApp is preparing for it, I’m sure. Lastly, Stay Home, Stay Safe, Stay away from misinformation.

Sadio Mane is hopeful that if the Premier League declares the 2019-20 season ‘null and void’, Liverpool would win it next season

Jurgen Klopp has done a wonderful job since taking over at Liverpool in 2015. They have been the most dominant side in Europe recently. Liverpool won the Champions League last season, ending Real Madrid’s run of three straight titles.

Liverpool lost the Premier League to Manchester City last season. The defeat margin was just a mere 1 point. It must have been very heartbreaking for Klopp’s side. But no, they were extra motivated to win the title from the very beginning of this season.

Sadio Mane and his teammates were 25 points clear at the top of the Premier League table. It looked inevitable that Liverpool would win the title. They would have surely won the Premier League title by now but the Coronavirus pandemic has played the spoilsport.

Premier League is suspended right now. Liverpool came so close to lifting the title for the 1st time in 30 years but sadly their wait is still going on.

Liverpool winger Sadio Made was asked if he felt like a champion already. Mane replied to talkSPORT: “I think not yet. I love my job and I love football, I want to win on the pitch. I want to win the games and I want to get the trophy, it’s what I would love. But with this situation, whatever happens, I will understand.”

“It has been difficult for Liverpool, but it has been more difficult for many millions of people around the world. Some people have lost family members and that is the more complicated situation. But for myself, it’s my dream and I want to win it this year.”

“If that’s not the case, I will accept. It’s part of life. Hopefully we will win it next year.”

Jurgen Klopp has given all the players so much positivity and self-belief. Last season they lost the league by just 1 point and even after being ahead by 25 points this season if the season is declared ‘null and void’ they still have the confidence in their team to win it next season. That’s exactly the kind of competitive spirit the Premier League leaders need to display in this time of crisis.

UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin said earlier this week that he sees “no way” in which Liverpool could be denied the Premier League title this season. So let’s hope that Mane and co can finally be proud of all their hard work by lifting the Premier League trophy.

Bundesliga CEO has confirmed their plans for resuming the 2019-20 season

The Coronavirus pandemic has forced all the football leagues around the world to be postponed. It’s been almost a month since we have last seen a football match. The COVID-19 outbreak has claimed the lives of more than 60,000 people worldwide and more than a million people are affected by this virus.

The Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga has been suspended at least till 30th April. Germany has been able to successfully to contain the pandemic to some extent. So the talks of resuming the football leagues have started.

Bundesliga CEO Christian Seifert confirmed that there are plans to restart in May. But probably the matches will be held in empty stadiums.

Seifert told the New York Times: “We are part of the culture in the country, people long to get back a short piece of normal life, and that could mean the Bundesliga plays again. This is why we have to play our role here, and that means to support the government and to talk with the government about when we will be able to play again.”

Some German clubs are desperate to return to action as the pause in the league has meant TV payments from domestic broadcaster Sky have stopped. They are facing difficulties to pay their employees.

Many 2. Bundesliga sides ‘are very much in danger to file for bankruptcy’. Therefore, cancelling the 2019-2020 season is not considered as a realistic option.

Seifert added: “For the moment we are all fighting to survive. We are in very constructive talks with all our partners no matter if it’s pay TV or free TV.”
