The three venues in Goa which will host the 2020-21 Indian Super League (ISL) from November

The new season of Indian Super League will start from November in Goa. The games will be played behind the close doors because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The matches will be played in three different venues in Goa:

Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda

The final of the last season between ATK and Chennaiyin FC was held at Fatorda in March behind closed doors due to the outbreak of the coronavirus. Kick-off of the new season will also start in the same stadium in the same manner. This stadium is in Margao, Goa with a capacity of 19,000. This is an international stadium.

Tilak Nagar Stadium in Vasco da Gama

This stadium is situated near Dabolim Airport, Vasco da Gama, Goa. The stadium regularly holds the games of I-League and local Goan League matches. The stadium with the capacity of 5,000, is a FIFA standard stadium.

This is the first stadium in Goa constructed according to IAAF specifications with a permanent seating capability of 3,500 and temporary seating arrangement of 6,500. The inner area of the track is covered with natural turf which will be used as a football ground.

These are the three venues slated to host the matches with strict training and social distancing protocols later this year.

Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL) with Sports Authority of Goa will be working closely for the success of the tournament.

ISL 2020-21 promises to be one of the most brightening seasons headlined by the introduction of defending champion ATK Mohun Bagan FC along with Mumbai City FC. After the merging of ATK and Mohun Bagan, this is their first season. Can ATK Mohun Bagan FC continue their legacy again or some new name will come up with their beautiful football?

Google rolls out ‘Emoji bar’ feature for Gboard in India

Google has been testing its new feature ‘Emoji bar’ for the last few months in the beta apps. The emoji bar is aimed at giving the users a more simplified way to use emojis to express their feelings through messages.

Today, the ‘Emoji bar’ feature has been rolled out to all Gboard users in India. Google has completed the testing and has now introduced the feature to the common people.

The Emoji bar appears right above the keyboard which will help the users to quickly insert multiple emojis without visiting the emoji gallery.

When you first open the Gboard after you have received the latest update, you’ll get a short tutorial about the Emoji bar.

The first slide in the tutorial welcomes you the emoji bar which will help you to access your favourite emojis instantly. There is also an emoji icon on the right end of the bar, which will get you to all the other emojis. But I feel this emoji icon was not required, as Gboard already has a dedicated emoji icon, second-left key in the last row of the keyboard, which takes you to the dedicated emoji page.

In the beta version, the emoji bar was working properly only with Google messages. But now with the full update, it will work almost everywhere, including WhatsApp which is one of the most used instant messaging apps in India.

Google also gave the option to its users to remove the bar in case they don’t like using it. You will have to just swipe the emoji bar and can find the Remove bar option. This option won’t be necessary because Google has done a good job by introducing this new feature.

Always going to the dedicated emoji page is somewhat not very desired so you can now get all your favourite emojis at the top of the keyboard. The emojis displayed on the bar will keep on changing depending on your use and favourite emojis.

The Blaugranas have a lot of things at stake after the humiliation against Bayern Munich and they are undergoing a lot of things at the board level as well. Yesterday, a board meeting was held at the Camp Nou offices regarding the upcoming presidential elections, however, the current president Josep Maria Bartomeu did not resign, which he should have but call forward the upcoming elections by around 3 months.

FC Barcelona have also revealed a statement wherin they have stated:

“The FC Barcelona Board of Directors, assuming its responsibility for the sporting situation that the club is experiencing, have agreed that the date for the next presidential elections will be the first matchday past March 15, 2021. The formal announcement of the elections will take place at the end of January 2021, in accordance with the provisions of article 43.1 of the Club Statutes.

Bartomeu admits to making some drastic decisions at the club

After considering all options, the Board considers this to be the most viable date for the aforementioned elections. The Board understands that an immediate call for elections is not feasible, given that the league season will begin on the weekend of September 12, 2020, and the situation arising from the COVID-19 crisis – both economically and socially. Consequently, the club will continue to implement the plan to reverse the sporting and economic situation, based on profound changes to the first team, plus a redefined budget to deal with the new situation caused by COVID-19, before the end of the current mandate.

The holding of the elections from March 15 next year implies that the Board of Directors assume full responsibility regarding the 2020-2021 financial year.”

Obviously, this is a just an excuse so that Bartomeu can stay a bit longer and “try to fix” things but this board has lost all hopes from fans and it is due to their failure for years for the demolition that took place not once but thrice – Roma, Liverpool, and Bayern. Due to the lack of planning, spending ransome amount of money on transfers, giving no chance to the La Masia products has made Barca one of the oldest age squad in history.

The board has maintained its dominance in transfers and has done a lot of dirty jobs as well, paying to make a bad image of its own players and whatnot. After all of this Bartomeu has taken the maximum time he could afford to stay but however, their club captain Lionel Messi is not happy with the board totally, and reports say he could leave as well, giving pressure to the board directly. The coming days will be an interesting avenue as Bartomeu looks to restructure the club but how only time will tell.

Windows 10 gets new features & UX from modular OS

It is expected that the modular and web-first OS of Microsoft will start rolling out in the coming spring of 2021 and that is also on new hardware. Some features of that can also be added to Windows 10 and you will be happy knowing the OS company already started working on it. The Windows 10 Build 20185 brings a clipboard history access feature, along with the ability to insert GIFs emojis and kaomoji. Work to include the touch keyboard of Windows 10X and ‘first run’ experience improvement is in progress.

Touch Keyboard

The upcoming Windows 10X will bring a new Start menu and Action Center along with a new touch keyboard. It has the GIFs and emojis integrated into the user interface. So, users don’t need to go to some separate icons for that.

A search box is also added at the top right corner so that you can reach to the exact emoji or GIF you need. Apart from this, the a Fluent Design and the “Clipboard history” feature are also included.

Needless to say, all these features will enhance the Windows 10 (on tablets and 2-in-1 machines) experience as well.

First-run experience improvement

The First-run feature or out of the box feature in Windows 10 is not so much clear. But in the case of Windows 10X, the entire thing is redesigned. The Setup process, Microsoft account login screen, language, region, and all other pages are new. So, it’s obvious, if this new first-run feature comes to Windows 10 that will be awesome.

Apart from this, after each and every update it was hard to find, sometimes, what new exactly we get. But Windows 10 Build 20190 solves this issue by bringing a post-update feature.

Sony has officially announced the launch of PlayStation 5. They have specified the launch date of PS5 as ‘Holiday 2020’. So we guess it will likely be in late 2020 maybe during Christmas. There’s a massive hype surrounding the PS5.

Another news has been confirmed that Sony has already filed the trademarks for PS6, PS7, PS8, PS9 and PS10. It seems they have planned their future for probably the next 20-30 years.

Sony started building gaming consoles in 1994-95 when they released PlayStation (PS). They then followed it up by PS2 in 2000, PS3 in 2006 and PS4 in 2013. The next in line in this series is PS5 which will be launched in the last quarter of 2020.

Although filing trademarks don’t guarantee that Sony will bring in more consoles, it surely means that they have started planning for the future. They are saving the names just in case they plan to release them in the next few decades.

Sony has been doing this future planning method from long before. In the case of PS4, they filed the trademark in 2006, which is 7 years before the release date. They also filled the trademark for PS5 in the same year, 2006 and it hasn’t been released yet.

Sony likes to play it safe. Any other company using the name of PlayStation 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10 would have been a huge setback so Sony has already filed the trademarks.

Until now, we will have to wait for a few more months to get our hands on the much-anticipated PS5. The console will be a black-and-white box with rounded angles and fins on the top. The DualSense Controller will also have the same colour theme as black-and-white.

Oracle joins the race to acquire TikTok

A few days back the President of US Donald Trump signed an order that restricted all the US transactions with the TikTok parent company ByteDance along with WeChat, and give 90 days of time to sell the US assets if wants to continue the business there.

Microsoft responds to it and showed its interest to acquire TikTok’s US service atleast. Though the deal doesn’t finalize yet. Now, Oracle Corp entered into the field and also expresses the same. Along with the US service, Oracle also wants to take over Canada, Australia, and New Zealand part. The entry of Oracle will challenge Microsoft’s bargaining, no doubt.

Analysts estimated the valuation of TikTok’s business in the US could be between $20 billion to $50 billion. Keeping in mind the price, Oracle is also one of the few companies to afford it as its own valuation is nearly $166 billion.

On the other hand, ByteDance is in talks with Reliance backed Jio to secure its India’s business, one of the top 5 markets for the company around the globe.

No deal is finalized yet, but it’s clear that ByteDance becomes proactive to finalize any of the deals as early as possible.

Design and Comfort

Controls and Usage

In controls there is a volume rocker by which you can control the volume of the headphone and it can also be used to change songs while paired in the Bluetooth. The power button will allow you to turn on and off the Bluetooth of pTron Tangent Beats. The power button can also be used to receive and deny calls. It can also be used to turn on voice assistants by pressing for a few seconds.

After pairing with Bluetooth the headphone gives a playback time of almost 5 to 6 hours in medium volume. The volume of this headphone is not very high but decent, so it might not cause any problem while you throttle up to the highest volume anytime. It is also compatible while playing games like PUBG.

Audio Quality

The audio quality of the pTron tangent Beats is amazing. The highs and lows are up to the mark. When the volume is 100% the sound has a soothing effect but might not be needed every time. The 10mm Dynamic Driver Ensures exquisite sound details with Bass. The bass is not very prominent but it can be compromised in this price range.

Oppo Reno4 Z 5G received Global Certification Forum certification

Oppo Reno4 Z 5G has been certified by Global Certification Forum. The phone is a mid-range device, comes with a model number CPH2065. This model number has already visited Geekbench as well as the Federal Communications Commission and seems to be the same device as the model number matches.

Considering a previous leak, the model number CPH2065 has the same specification as the Oppo A92s which was launched a few months back in China as among the former 5G enabled devices. Oppo A92s has not been release in the international market. So, the phone can now escape from China in a new disguise.

Even though Oppo Reno4 Z 5G is listed with the name “5G”, the certification does not show any particular bands supporting this connectivity but it only lists 2G GSM, 3G UMTS, and 4G LTE networks. Even if the phone launches with 5G connectivity then it might not work for some countries that are yet to develop and implement their next-gen network.

Now coming to the original phone we have seen that Oppo A92s has a 6.57-inch IPS LCD screen supporting a 120Hz refresh rate and has an FHD+ (1080 x 2400px) resolution. Now coming to the camera, the device packs in a unique rear quad-camera design. 

The quad-camera setup on the Oppo A92s includes a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. The rest two sensor’s details are not mentioned officially, but according to TEENA listings TENAA listing from the other day, the secondary camera sensors are 2MP depth sensor and 2MP macro. TEENA listing also specifies that the front camera’s sensors are 16MP with f/2.0 joined by a 2MP depth sensor which is housed within the punch-hole cut on the display.

OPPO A92s with 120Hz display and MediaTek Dimensity 800 launched ...

Though the official website and JD.com both haven’t revealed the details about the chipset clearly but mentions only “MT6873V” claiming that the chipset will support. The device will be available in two RAM variants – 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB. There is a 4000mAh battery packed inside which powers the Oppo A92s and supports 18W fast charging. The phone comes in Black and White colour options only.
