David Beckham’s Inter Miami side can sign both Ronaldo and Messi

It is a dream for most of the football fans to see Messi and Ronaldo play in the same team for at least once. Now this dream has a slight chance of becoming a reality.

England great David Beckham owns the MLS side Inter Miami. He suggested that his side has a great opportunity to sign both Messi and Ronaldo.

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfield maestro’s side will make their MLS debut against Los Angeles FC on Sunday. Beckham could lure both players to Miami after Minnesota United head coach Adrian Heath talked up the possibility of seeing both the legends of this game in the United States.

Beckham addressed the transfer speculation during his appearance on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ on Wednesday. He said: “Well you know what, we’ve got great opportunities down in Miami.”

“We’ve been contacted by a lot of different players with possibly coming to join the team. As any owner, you really want the best players and if we have the opportunity to bring in players like Cristiano or Leo, I have such admiration for them as athletes, if we could bring those players in than great.”

“But at the moment, we have a great roster. Young players, a couple of experienced players too, but a lot of young players who are just ready to play.

“One of the things I learnt from [former United manager] Alex Ferguson… he turned around to me and said whoever you bring in, they have to be the right fit for the club. It’s not about the biggest name or personality, it’s about who fits in best with the players.

“That’s what we’ll do. But like I said, as an owner if you want to bring these players in than we have a great opportunity.”

Inter Miami has also been linked to Manchester City’s David Silva, Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani and Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric. But if they can bring both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in the same team, it would create history.

The two best players playing alongside each other will be a treat to the eyes. Imagine watching Messi providing his trademark defense breaking pass to Ronaldo, who then sprint and produce a perfectly-timed finish. What a day it would be for the football fans!

Arsenal were stunned by Olympiacos in the 2nd leg of the Europa League. Arteta’s men were improving day by day but this Europa League knock out will prove to be fatal for their confidence.

Youssef El-Arabi’s late strike in extra-time secured a stunning 2-1 victory for Olympiacos. The match was tied 2-2 on aggregate but Olympiacos progressed to the round of 16 courtesy of the away goals rule.

Arsenal had a 1-0 lead from the 1st leg. But Papa Cisse’s second-half strike took the game into extra time.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang gave Arsenal the lead on aggregate in the 113th minute of the game with a stunning overhead kick. But they conceded another goal with just a minute of added time to play. El Arabi capitalized on some defensive error to send the Greeks through to the last 16, with Aubameyang missing a last-minute sitter from less than six yards.

Aubameyang told BT Sport about the miss: “I don’t even know. I feel very, very bad. This can happen. I don’t know how I missed this chance. I was tired and I had some cramps as well, but it is not an excuse. I have to score this goal, but it can happen.”

He further added: “What can I say? It’s very, very hard, very tough. It was a tough game again. I think we missed putting some pace in the game – that cost us a little bit. Then the last-minute goal was unlucky for us. That’s it.”

“We try to keep improving in the league and we’ll try to win as many games as possible, and we’ll see how many chances we have to qualify [for the Champions League].”

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta told BT Sport: “It hurts a lot. We had a lot of intentions in this competition. It was very important for us. Emotionally it has been a very difficult game. We tried and tried and tried, we threw everything at them. They defended very deep. We managed to score though and we were through but then we conceded a late corner and it was another set-piece.”

“To attack against 10 players is a very difficult thing. I felt we created enough chances to win the game comfortably. It didn’t happen but we had to manage the game much better in the final five minutes.”

“I don’t think so [his side were too complacent going into the game]. The players knew it would be a difficult game. It is cruel. It is a massive disappointment but at the same time, I am very proud of the players.
It would have been an incredible lift if we had managed to go through the tie. The players have my backing for the way they played but it is painful.”

MediaTek has been busy this season launching some great budget gaming and high performing SoCs. To strengthen its budget SoCs, the Taiwanese manufacturing giant has launched another new SoC named Helio P95 which comes under the very successful Helio P series.

Being the OEM’s latest 4G/LTE chipset, the Helio P95 does have some impressive connectivity specs, including Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0, as well as Cat. 12 download speeds; Cat. 13 upload speeds; 4 x 4 MIMO; ViLTE; VoLTE; Band 71 support and dual 4G SIMs.

It boasts to feature an AI Processing Unit (APU) 2.0, which according to the OEM will improve it’s benchmarking in this area compared to its predecessor by 10%.

Talking of raw hardware specs, the Helio P95 consists of 2 Cortex-A75 performance cores clocked at 2.2GHz and 6 Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz for handling daily tasks.

It packs an Imagination PowerVR GM 94446 GPU that promises 10% improvement over the previous generation and enhanced gaming performance. The chip can support displays up to 2520×1080 resolution.

The Helio P95 can capture impressive high-resolution photos at up to 64MP and dual camera arrays of up to 24+16MP. MediaTek’s unique triple ISP can now handle up to 14-bit RAW and 10-bit YUV processing.

The SoC offers some great camera features including “AI-NR” low-light photography mode; 5-person human pose tracking; multiple objects- and scene-identification, efficient hardware depth-engine and AI-camera processing.

It supports H.264, H.265 / HEVC video encoding and playback with max RAM support up to 8GB that too dual-channel LPDDR4x RAM clocked at 1866MHz and supports UFS 2.1 storage. Notably, the SoC also supports 4K video capture with up to 3840 x 2160 resolution.

Then there’s MediTek’s proprietory HyperEngine Game Technology that helps the processor to handle CPU and GPU resource allocation more intelligently and dynamically. It also improves the power efficiency for better battery life while gaming.

Also, there are other MediaTek HyperEngine connectivity enhancements are on board, alongside the in-house CorePilot, Pump Express, Tiny Sensor Hub, and Integrated VoW (voice on wakeup) technologies. Soon we can expect smartphones featuring the Helio P95 SoC.

Details:

The Galaxy M30s is an update to the Samsung Galaxy M30 which was launched earlier this year. This new smartphone packs in a 6,000mAh battery which is its highlight feature. We were impressed with the AMOLED display on this smartphone as it was crisp and had good viewing angles. The 6.4-inch display also got bright enough when outdoors.

Samsung has picked the Exynos 9611 SoC to power the Galaxy M30s which is the same processor powering the Galaxy A50s, There are two variants of the Galaxy M30s, 4GB RAM with 64GB of storage and 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage. The processor isn’t as powerful as the Snapdragon 675 SoC but is on par with the Snapdragon 710 SoC.

The Galaxy M30s has a triple camera setup consisting of a 48-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. We were happy with the camera performance of the Galaxy M30s however, it was slow to focus while shooting macros. Video recording tops out at 4K but lacks stabilization. On the other hand, videos shot at 1080p were stabilized.

The device is juiced by a huge 6,000mAh battery and can be recharged with a 15W Type-C fast charger. We can easily use the device for two days easily with this huge po0wer backup.

Vivo APEX 2020 concept phone is set to debut next month. This time Vivo’s APEX 2020 concept phone appeared in several promotional materials. The first one gives us a tour of the device, showcasing its waterfall screen and innovative camera setup. From the small glimpse, we can see the APEX 2020 comes with a periscope capable of 5-7.5X zoom while the bottom 48MP sensor is dubbed as a gimbal camera that is rumored to offer unprecedented image stabilization.

Next up we get a clue about the phone’s wireless charging capabilities which will top up at a blazing 60W. We also get a teaser for the gimbal camera which will come with super steady micro PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom). This development should provide ultimate stabilization for images and videos as a clear step over existing optical image stabilization solutions.

Vivo has been introducing these Apex concept phones since 2018, and the first one had a nearly bezel-less screen and a half screen fingerprint sensor. The Apex 2019 variant had an in-display fingerprint scanner that worked from anywhere on the screen, and it sported a body sans the holes. More notably, the Realme 6 series will pack a quad rear camera setup headlined by a 64-megapixel main camera. It will be assisted by an ultra-wide-angle shooter to let users capture a wider panorama, a telephoto lens for long-range shots, and a dedicated macro camera to click close-up photos. Huawei MateBook D 14 & D 15 gets refreshed with 10th Intel Comet Lake & AMD Ryzen 3000U processors

Huawei has refreshed its premium MateBook X Pro as well as it’s more budget-friendly MateBook D 14 and MateBook D 15 laptops. Like its premium brother, both of the laptops have got a decent upgrade notably on the hardware front, with 10th Intel Comet Lake and also AMD Ryzen 3000U processors.

These laptops are the refreshed ones with not much difference physically and the MateBook D 14 and MateBook D 15 having 14-inch and 15.6-inch displays respectively. They feature 1920 x 1080px screens and have slightly higher weights of 1.38kg and 1.62 kg for the 14-inch and 15-inch variants, respectively.

The displays come with a screen-to-body ratio of up to 87% and an aspect ratio of 16:9 which makes it look even better. Huawei has sacrificed the webcam on the top to get the most out of the frame for the display and shifted the webcam into the keys like in the Honor MagicBook.

Also, there’s a fingerprint recognition power button that was previously only found on high-end notebooks. The 15.6-inch model has a smaller 42Wh battery while a bigger 56Wh battery goes inside the 14-inch one which gives a good overall battery life.

You can configure the laptops up to 10th Intel Core i7-10510U Comet Lake CPUs and you also get cheaper AMD options up to Ryzen 7 3700U processors. For heat dissipation, we have the latest shark fin 2.0 silent fan and there’s 65W USB-C charging support also.

If you are opting for Intel then you can get a discrete NVIDIA GeForce MX250 graphics with 2GB GDDR5 VRAM while the AMD version only has the powerful Vega iGPU.

You can configure the RAM up to 8GB and SSD storage up to 512GB for the 14-inch version while the 15.6-inch version can hold an additional HDD as well. Both the laptops look similar to the MacBook Air along with a full-size backlit keyboard and a large trackpad.

Even though both the Huawei MateBook D 14 & D 15 has a premium feel to it but they are a lot cheaper as the 14-inch has a starting price tag of €699 for the Ryzen variants while the Intel variant begins at €949 since it features a discrete Nvidia MX250 GPU. The MateBook D 15 starts at €649 for the AMD models and €949 for the Intel Core i5 version coupled with MX250.

Premier League will launch Hall of Fame

Premier League has announced its plans on Thursday regarding the launch of the Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame will be introduced next month which will recognise the legends of the Premier League. They confirmed that two players will be the first inductees in the Hall of Fame.

Premier League released a statement on their official website: “Membership of the Premier League Hall of Fame will be the highest individual honour awarded to players by the League. The first two inductees to have their careers commemorated in the Premier League Hall of Fame will be revealed on Thursday 19 March.”

“The Hall of Fame will recognise and celebrate the exceptional skill and talent of players who have graced the competition since its inception in 1992”

Premier League chief executive Richard Masters said: “Since 1992, the Premier League has been home to world-class players who have defined generations and provided us with compelling football season after season.”

“A place in the Premier League Hall of Fame is reserved for the very best. It will be an occasion for our fans around the world to look back over the years and help us celebrate some truly exceptional playing careers.”

A shortlist will be released shortly which will allow the fans to vote for their favourite legends and include them in the Hall of Fame. The retired players who have played in the Premier League are only eligible.

The players will only be considered based on their Premier League careers. The accolades which they have won abroad or in the continental competitions and also in the old First Division won’t be taken into account for selecting a player for the Hall of Fame.

Huawei has recently launched a lot of products and among them, Huawei has even launched its new premium range of laptops or rather upgraded from last-gen to the Huawei MateBook X Pro 2020 with the latest 10th Gen Intel Core CPUs.

There hasn’t been much change since the last-gen model in terms of design and also you have the same 13.9-inch 3K LTPS FullView display with a 91% screen-to-body ratio along with a pop-up webcam and 14.6mm sleek metal body.

It’s disappointing to see Huawei using the Comet Lake CPUs rather than the Ice Lake ones, so you get options of Core i7-10510U and Core i5-10510U CPUs based on Intel’s age-old 14nm++ manufacturing process and 15W TDP.

Both of them are four hyper-threaded cores with a base frequency of 1.8 GHz for i7-10510U/ 1.6GHz for i5-10510U going up to 4.9 GHz/ 4.2 GHz with Turbo Boost respectively. Huawei gives you the option to opt for up to Nvidia GeForce MX250 discrete GPU with 2GB of GDDR5 VRAM.

The laptop has a huge battery rated at 57.4Wh which according to Huawei will last up to 13hrs which indeed is pretty good enough for a premium laptop and the whole thing weighs only 1.33 kg. It also features a full size backlit chiclet keyboard along with a fingerprint scanner on the power button.

The HUAWEI MateBook X Pro 2020 comes in four colour options: Emerald Green, Space Gray and Mystic Silver. The laptop is priced at 1499 Euros (US$ 1627 / Rs.1,17,080 approx) for the i5+16GB RAM+512GB SSD version, 1699 Euros (US$ 1844 / Rs.1,32,900 approx) for the same variant with MX250 GPU.

The top-end variant with Core i7+16GB RAM+1TBGB SSD+MX250 SSD version will cost 1999 Euros (US$ 2170 / Rs.1,56,370 approx) and the laptop will be available in Europe, Asia Pacific, Russia, Japan, Middle East and Latin America from April 2020 onwards.

Real Madrid confident of making a comeback at the Etihad stadium

Real Madrid under Zinedine Zidane were great this season. It seemed that Zizou has once again reinstated motivation in the team. Real Madrid was on course for the quadruple. They have already won the Spanish Super Cup.

But things have taken a dramatic turn recently. Real Madrid lost to Real Sociedad and got knocked out of Copa Del Rey. Two weeks ago, Madrid were leading the LaLiga table. Then a draw and a loss in the last two games saw them surrendering the lead to Barcelona.

Once again, the 13-times Champions League winner slumped to a home defeat against Manchester City in the 1st leg of the Round of 16. Real Madrid were leading in the match till the 75th-minute courtesy Isco’s goal. But a lack of concentration in the last 15 minutes saw them conceding two goals and their captain Sergio Ramos getting a red card.

It was the 26th red card of Ramos’ career and 4th in the Champions League. He has now joined Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edgar Davids on a record four red cards in the Champions League. The Real Madrid captain will miss the second leg at Etihad.

Zidane told reporters after the match: “We’re gutted to have lost, but we know the tie is over 180 minutes and no matter what happens that’s the way it is. Even if we’d won. We did the hard work scoring, and then in 10 minutes they scored two.”

“That’s football. We can’t change it. We need to focus on the positives. In a result like that there aren’t many positive things, we played well but for the last 10 or 15 minutes. Now we need to go there and win if we want to go through.”

“They are mistakes and you pay when you make mistakes. That’s it. But mistakes are a part of football and that’s the way it is. We gave everything on the pitch, we lacked 10 minutes of concentration more. It was a very physical, even game and at the end, we paid for it.”

Pep Guardiola also broke a record as his side beat Madrid. It was his 28th win in the Champions League knockout stage, moving him past Ferguson, Mourinho and Ancelotti, who all have 27 wins. Guardiola also became the manager with the most wins (10) against Madrid in all competitions in the 21st century, surpassing Ernesto Valverde and Diego Simeone.

Guardiola said: “I’m happy for the victory – the performance as well to try to play against this team with a good personality. The first 10, 15 minutes it was very difficult, but we played really good. We conceded a goal we shouldn’t have conceded.”

“After scoring we found our rhythm and we scored the second. Today we are happy but it’s still not over. For our people hopefully, we can do a good performance.”

“This club has only been to semi-final. To win at the Bernabeu is brilliant and we hope it will help us in the future to believe in ourselves.”
