MediaTek has again launched another 5G enabled chipset today which is dubbed as Dimensity 820. The chipset is launched with higher CPU clock speeds, extra GPU core, and dual SIM 5G. This is an addition to the Dimensity 5G chipset series.
Recently another news surfaced that this chipset will be featured in a Redmi device, most probably will be Redmi Note 10. This will be the first device of the Note series to feature 5G connectivity.
Redmi Note 10 got certified from the TENAA website with both NSA and SA support (as well as the usual LTE and older connections). The website also revealed most of its features and images as well. Though the company has not revealed any official information about this device, still we can go with the information provided by different websites like TENAA and GeekBench.

Specification wise Redmi Note 10 5G will feature 6.57” OLED display with 1,080 x 2,400px resolution (20:9 aspect ratio). There will be a drop notch design instead of a punch-hole cut. The 16MP front camera will be housed in drop notch with various necessary sensors. According to the image shared on the TENAA website it shows that the phone will have the same type of rear camera design as the previous Note 9 series and will also feature an in-display fingerprint scanner.
About a dozen of entries popped up on the benchmark’s database feature the Xiaomi M2004J7AC, the specific model number we saw in the Chinese regulator’s listing, as well as an M2004J7BC. The ‘A’ model goes by the code name ‘atom’, while the ‘B’ one is called ‘bomb’. This matches with both the informations shared by TENAA and GeekBench and confirms that the phone will feature the latest Dimensity 820 chipset.

The battery capacity is 4,420mAh which is slightly degraded than Note 9 which 5020mAh battery. Charging in this device is slightly faster at 22.5W, but not as fast as the Note 9 Pro (30W).
The Taiwanese Silicon giant has launched a new Dimensity 5G SoC for mid-range smartphones to compete with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G or the newer 768G. Based on TSMC’s 7nm process, the new Dimensity 820 5G SoC is an upgrade over its originally announced Dimensity 800 SoC.
With this new SoC MediaTek plans to bring better performance to the mid-ranged smartphones and ultimately make 5G more accessible. The architecture behind the chip is quite similar to the Dimensity but now with greater clock speeds.

The Dimensity 820 5G SoC is an octa-core SoC with four high-performance Arm Cortex-A76 cores running at 2.6GHz, which is significantly higher than Dimensity 800’s clock speed of 2.0GHz. While the other four efficiency Cortex-A55 cores continue to be clocked at 2.0GHz.
On the graphics front, the SoC features 5-core Arm Mali G57 GPU which is an upgrade over a quad-core GPU on the Dimensity 800. MediaTek’s HyperEngine 2.0 enhancements help gamers to enjoy the games without lag.

The MediaTek Dimensity 820 supports FHD+ 120Hz high frame-rate displays along with HDR10 support. Also, the MediaTek MiraVision feature showcases the most vivid visuals in videos and streams. On the camera front, the chipset supports up to 80MP cameras, an upgrade from 64MP support along with quad-camera support on the rear-end.
Coming to connectivity, the integrated 5G NR (sub-6GHz) modem supports both the standard and non-standard sub-6GHz 5G networks. It also comes with MediaTek’s 5G UltraSave technologies, including exclusive 5G UltraSave Network Environment Detection and 5G UltraSave OTA Content Awareness to increase efficiency and battery life.
The Dimensity 820 will soon be seen on Redmi’s next smartphone with 5G support and in second half of 2020 we will get to see more of this SoC powering the next mid-ranged devices.

Hany even went on to say:
“When working with Hector Cúper, we hadtraining in Switzerland, in March 2018. I was talking to Salah and he told me that Real Madrid had sent him an offer. The offer was really good, but Salah discussed it with me and Mr Cuper and decided to stay with Liverpool because he was comfortable there.”
Ramy Abbas, who is a representative of Mohamed Salah, did post on the Twitter account regarding an offer from Real Madrid for the Egyptian star. He even denied the fact that the player discussed his future with Hector Cúper, Egypt’s former national selector.
“Mohamed never discussed any career plan with any former coach,” Abbas responded to statements by Hany Ramzy. The player’s agent did not totally deny that there was interest on Real Madrid’s side in landing Salah to Los Blancos.

The Blaugranas have reportedly agreed to a deal involving Nelson Semedo to Juventus in exchange for €25 million plus Miralem Pjanic and Mattia De Sciglio.

All major football activities have been suspended since March due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Millions of people are affected with the death toll reaching many thousands around the globe.
Fortunately, things are beginning to brighten up. Football is about to resume in full fledge which is a joy to hear. Germany has taken the first step. Bundesliga has resumed its 2019-20 season from 16th May. LaLiga is heading towards a 12th June restart. Premier League has also placed “Project Restart” in action. Serie A is also following the footsteps of these leagues.
The only major European leagues to end their season are Ligue 1 and Eredivisie. It was very heartbreaking for the fans as well as the clubs. But, health comes before everything else, so we have to accept it.
As football is heading towards resumption, there are few new rules which will be implemented in this season. Let’s have a look at them:
1. Five substitutions are allowed in a game
Previously, each team was allowed to make three substitutions in a game. Now, for this season at least, the rule has changed. Each team will be allowed to make up to five substitutions in a game. This has been done to protect players from injuries and fatigue as the teams are required to play matches in gaps of 2-3 days.
2. Teams will be given three slots to make the substitutions
Earlier, the manager had the full freedom of making substitutions whenever he felt it was good to make for the team. The new rule has allotted three time-slots (including the half time break) for the teams to make substitutions. This will ensure there is no unnecessary time waste and the matches are finished off quickly and smoothly.
3. Social distancing in the technical area
The substitutes sitting in the substitution bench need to maintain social distancing between them. They can also wear masks. The non-playing staffs also have to follow social distancing and wear masks.
4. Team celebrations have been banned
The teams will not be allowed to celebrate goals or wins together. The goalscorer can obviously celebrate but his teammates shouldn’t join him to celebrate outrageously. The players can celebrate individually but not together to maintain social distancing.
5. Pre-match handshakes have been banned
The players of the two clubs featuring in a match have been banned from involving in pre-match handshakes with each other. This measure has been taken to minimize the amount of contact the players come into with other players.
5. Matches will be played behind closed doors
It will be impossible to manage fan gatherings and maintain social distancing. The gathering of thousands of fans in the stadium can result in another outbreak of the Coronavirus among the fans. To avoid any such chance, large gatherings have been banned. The matches will be played behind closed doors in empty stadiums.
6. Two matchdays in a week
The football calendar has already been stretched too far. To finish off the 2019-20 season quickly and then start the new 2020-21 season, the teams will play 2 matches in a week instead of playing one match in every weekend. All the leagues are targeting to finish off the remaining games of this season by July. UEFA has planned the Champions League final at the beginning of August.
