Apple will be assembling the iPhone SE 2020 in India soon

It would be happening someday, and yes, Apple will be assembling iPhone SE 2020 in India. The $399 smartphone from Apple which basically is an iPhone 8 with Apple’s latest A13 Bionic chip has been well received by budget people who want an Apple phone but do not want to pay for a premium one.

In fact, in China, iPhone sales increased in China in the month of April, thanks to the strong iPhone SE 2020 which accounted for 24% of the total sales. In China, the iPhone SE starts at 3,299 Yuan ($464) which is still bearable mostly but the scenario totally changes in India, where 20% import tax is levied, making the device even more costly.

iPhone SE (2020) or OnePlus 8 who is the winner in India?

The iPhone SE (2020) with 3GB RAM & 64 GB storage has been priced at Rs. 42,500 ($558), whereas the OnePlus 8 with 6 GB RAM & 128 GB storage just costs just Rs. 41,999 ($550). This makes Indians confused for which one to go for because OnePlus 8 is also a great smartphone but now if the cost decreases by 20%, Apple can change the game totally.

This is the reason why Apple is planning to begin the new iPhone SE assembly in the ever growing Indian smartphone market. Most of the developed countries are becoming saturated when it comes to smartphone sales, if we go by stats, only 22% of Indians own a smartphone, making it the second largest smartphone in the world already.

If companies start making cheaper smartphones with good specs in India, who knows, India will become the world’s biggest smartphone market defeating the current leader, China. To get rid of the import taxes almost all smartphone manufacturers assemble smartphones making India as one of the world’s largest smartphone manufacturing (assembling) hubs.

Now according to sources from AppleInsider, Apple has told at least one of its supplier in China to start shipping components for the 2020 iPhone SE to India manufacturing partners. Most likely we will see Wistron, who is known for assembling the original iPhone SE until 2019, to be Apple’s choice according to a report by The Information.

Apple will open its first retail store in India in 2021, online store this year says Tim Cook

This report can actually make sense, as in the last month, the Indian govt loosening its laws to encourage manufacturers like Apple to invest more in the country and actually be able to be one of the biggest exporters of smartphones. The country’s Production Linked Incentive Scheme (PLI) program did decide to remove as well as alter a few important clauses. Check out the full article here.

“We expect Apple to produce up to $40 billion worth of smartphones, mostly for exports through its contract manufacturers Wistron and Foxconn,” an India government official said in May, “availing the benefits under the production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme.”

Not only this move will bring down taxes on the iPhone SE 2020 but also encourage Indians to opt for cheaper iPhones than buying a Chinese smartphone. There’s a rage going on against Chinese products in the country and this move from Apple will ultimately benefit its sales in India. Also, it is said that Apple will shift 20% of its production from China to India and benefit from the new PLI scheme as well, making Apple India’s largest exporter in the process.

Paul Pogba makes a fine return from injury against Tottenham Hotspur

0

Manchester United fans did not get to see Paul Pogba from the beginning of the clash vs Tottenham, however, he did come on later on to great effect. The gifted Frenchman was absent from the starting XI for so long that it did create a small sense he’d be protected, particularly because he’s experienced an injury this season.

Supporters were disappointed to see that he did not start and the statistical evidence appears to imply the result would have gone another manner had he done so.

Pogba’s impact on the pitch was felt once he was brought on by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. He won the penalty for Manchester United which Bruno Fernandes converted to level the game.

Without the former Juventus midfielder, United would have lost the fixture as they had been bad for much of the match. Fans are hoping that Pogba can continue to stay fit and play from the beginning alongside Bruno. This midfield duo can make the Red Devils much more harmful.

All indications point into the World Cup winner staying beyond the approaching summer and if that is the case then Solskjaer has a brilliant side to build on. Pogba’s versatility with in the middle of the park will be extremely helpful, especially since the midfield of Manchester United are already quite varied.

No midfielder is like the other so that means Solskjaer could tweak the academy graduate’s role based on who is partnering him to great effect.

Indian Smart TV market see the rise of smartphone brands

Smartphones brought millions of individuals on-line in the past decade and with the ease of internet coverage in India, Smart TVs are flourishing these days. Telecom operators such as Reliance Jio in India has played an essential role in this transformation. Now, as individuals have access to the net at a less expensive cost than years before, it is sensible for companies to push their IoT devices into the marketplace.

Unlike mobile phones that is a personal purchase, purchasing a TV that is smart involves family decision and so brand recognition matters a lot. But smartphone brands have made a name among youths, that has been helping them to instruction in this section. As we see in the charts traditional OEMs are falling short to Xioami who is making Smart TVs much more affordable in India.

Could Apple’s upcoming Smart Glasses have a built-in defogger?

1

Apple came into the discussion lately as rumors claim that the brand is working on Smart Glasses and is expected to sell Augmented Reality (AR) glasses in the future. On the other hand, Chinese display maker BOE is developing smart glasses with a defog mode and heating unit, a patent filing shows. A report from last year’s claim that BOE had been contracted last year to work on iPhone displays, and can also happen that both the companies are in contract for developing Augmented Reality (AR) glasses which could defog itself when needed.

As per reports, the glasses which Apple and BOE are developing can accurately detect and remove water droplets from the lenses. If this happens then it will be a blessing for those who wear glasses as it has to be worn all the time and they have to encounter such foggy glass situation frequently. So, the glasses will definitely be made for all time use.

According to reports, the glasses have a frame, lenses, a driving unit, a heating unit, and a control unit. There will be a touch control function on the glasses that will work for different functions. Moreover, it is also mentioned that both the touch areas would be insulated from each other as they would have different functions.

Capacitors will be placed inside to detect the mist accumulated on the glass, and to be more precise, it will be responsible for detecting the tiny water droplets on the glasses. Thus it will indicate the heating unit to heat up for a preset time and evaporate the water droplets until it is totally gone. The patent calls this feature ‘demisting’. As per reports, this will be done very quickly as a blurred vision for a long time can cause trouble. It should be faster than a hand wiping off the glasses.

The smart glasses as illustrated on the patent filed by BOE.  (BOE)

Now talking about Apple’s Smart Glasses it won’t be waterproof but if BOE is working for then it can work up to a certain humidity. These glasses will be useful when someone faces a temperature change all of a sudden or while breathing wearing a mask and a glass at the same time.

The heating unit is more likely to consume a considerable amount of charge from the battery placed inside. As batteries have some limit and as these glasses would be meant for wearing all the time Apple has to think of another solution for this power distribution as if it doesn’t do so, we will see a smart glass with some limited run time.

Apple iPhones to use Qualcomm X60 5G modem in the place of X55

0

It was previously rumored that the upcoming 5G enabled iPhones of 2020 will be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X55. Multiple sources like Mig-Chi Kou and Nikkei Asian Review was in favor of this news.

Later on, a few days back, DigiTimes stated the chip-making partner of Apple, TSMC is preparing to manufacture A14 chips along with the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X60 modems from this month. And that also to put them in the Apple handsets coming at the end of this year.

Qualcomm Snapdragon X60_TechnoSports.co.in

The Snapdragon X60 is able to manage the power more efficiently than the X55 chip as it is of 5nm. Besides, it also has the strength to “aggregate data from both mmWave and sub-6GHz bands simultaneously”. That’s why users can get both low-latency and high-speed at a time.

The X60 modems were released back in February. It was totally unexpected to everyone that it can be used in the 2020 iPhones as the company needs to properly test the chip first. Everyone estimated it is framed for the 2021 use. The chip owner Qualcomm also said earlier, the X60 was expected to use in 2021.

Now, only time will say which is true and which is not. We need to wait for official updates to verify the sources.

Neymar has to repay €6.7m to Barcelona over bonus disputes

0

PSG star Neymar has been ordered by the court to repay €6.7m to his former club Barcelona.

Neymar signed a five-year extension in 2016 with Barcelona which included a renewal bonus worth €43.6 million with €14 million paid up front. The remaining €29 million were due to be paid on 1st August 2017.

The Brazilian forward left Barcelona on 3rd August after PSG activated his €222 million release clause. Barcelona hence refused to pay Neymar the remaining bonus as he had broken the terms of the contract.

The PSG forward had filed the lawsuit in August 2017 claiming the bonus amount. Now the verdict has come in favour of Barcelona, though Neymar can appeal against this decision.

Barcelona released an official statement: “FC Barcelona expresses its satisfaction with the verdict announced today by Social Court 15 in Barcelona in relation to the lawsuit involving FC Barcelona and the player Neymar Jr regarding the amount of the signing bonus in the final renewal of the player’s contract.”

“The ruling has fully dismissed the player’s claim for payment of 43.6 million euros and has accepted a large part of the defence presented by FC Barcelona, as a result of which the player must return 6.7 million euros to the club.”

“Since the player’s representative is entitled to appeal this decision, the club shall continue to fervently defend its legitimate interests.”

Neymar has sued Barcelona for bonus amount, but on the other hand, the Brazilian is desperately searching for a way to return to Camp Nou. Messi has also expressed his desire to play with Neymar again. It remains to be seen whether Barcelona will be able to bear such a huge transfer money, as all the clubs have been financially hit by the Coronavirus pandemic.

Realme Buds Q launching on June 25

0

Finally, Realme has revealed the launch date of the Realme Buds Q in India. The company has decided to launch the Buds Q on June 25, 12:30 PM onwards along with the Realme X3 and Realme X3 SuperZoom. On the same day, Realme is launching two new smartphones of a series and a wearable sound device.

The Realme Buds Q was made official for the first time in China last month when the brand launched its first smart TV. A few days ago officials had also revealed that the Realme Buds Q will be available in India under Rs.2,000 price range. Realme is clearly trying to compete with the Redmi Earbud S.

We know pretty much everything about this device and the main feature of this device is that it comes with a 10mm driver said to be largest in an audio device at this price range. It is very much safe from the water and dust splashes because of the IPX4 rating. Also, it is a 119 milliseconds latency rate holder. Needless to say, it is connectable with your smartphone via Bluetooth 5.0.

The company says this TWS earbud can provide 20 hours of continuous music playback time in one single charge. In the matter of the charge, the case has 30W fast charging support. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have any wireless charging facility, only the wired charging is available through the micro USB port.

For the ‘Quick Control’ ability, the user can manage to navigate the currently playing music. There are double, single, and dual touch controls available. That means, the user has a smooth touch control over the music play, pause, and skip. The most interesting fact is the buds are weighed 3.6 grams which makes it lighter than an A4 paper. Along with the case, its weight becomes 35.3 grams in total.

Realme has already created a landing page on its website and this device will be via Amazon.in and realme.com. Our review of this product will arrive soon.
