2020 has been the year of many saddening departures, it is with heavy hearts that Arsenal fans are having to say goodbye to their mascot, Gunnersaurus after 27 long years of service.
Having witnessed their highest of highs as the Invincibles during the early 2000s, Gunnersaurus goes down as one of the most iconic mascots that the Premier League has had the chance to watch.
The reason behind the departure is rather sad in itself. Due to the finances of the North London club being heavily affected due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they have been downsizing the non-playing staff in an attempt to reduce the money spent in running the club.

Owing to that very purpose, Jerry Quy, the man who has played the mascot for the better part of 2 and a half decades has now been relieved of his services. The club already discontinued the services of over 50 employees in the month of August.
Gunnersaurus became the latest to join the list, with his services to the club being discontinued with the end of the summer transfer window of 2020.
It has been five months since football resumed following the break caused due COVID-19 pandemic. In those five months, there have not been any fans allowed to watch a Premier League game due to the risk of the virus spreading.

Sadly, it looks like the majority, if not the entirety of the 20/21 season will be played behind closed doors. Clubs all around the world have been paying extra attention to where their money has been spent this summer, and with nobody in the stands to entertain, Gunnersaurus’ purpose is over for the time being.
Having played the character since its introduction in 1993, Jerry Quy will no longer wear the Gunnersaurus costume anymore. However, hope has appeared in the form of Mesut Ozil who has offered to pay the mascot’s wages so that he can continue.
As was announced during the French free agent’s signing during the summer transfer window, Malang Sarr has been sent out on loan from Chelsea to gain some valuable minutes under his belt due to the strict competition at the Bridge ruling out minutes for the young centre-back.
Having run through the duration of his contract at his former club, OGC Nice, Sarr had the option to sign for any club in the world due to absolutely no transfer fee involved in acquiring the youngster’s signature.

Sarr has joined Porto on a one-year loan deal with no set options for a purchase, which seem reasonable since Chelsea could do with a talented centre back like Sarr who has the potential to be a great player for the Blues in the days to come. However, for now, the starlet falls behind in the pecking order for precious game time in the Premier League.

Having played for Nice since the tender age of 5, Sarr broke into the first team at only 17 years old. Having since moved on from his home country of France, the 21-year-old has now joined Porto in an attempt to gain some good experience to challenge the current centre-backs to up the antics or to warm the bench as he comes back to the bridge next season.
It will be interesting to see how things pan out for Sarr since he has signed a five-year deal with Chelsea and is only in the first year of his deal. A player of his talent would surely have to break into the team someday. He could create a French partnership at the back with Zouma and Mendy supporting him in the future.

Earlier we saw Lenovo announcing its most affordable ThinkPad series sporting the latest Tiger Lake SoCs. This time, however, we have another scoop.
Lenovo’s first latest model to be launched next year, the 2021 Lenovo ThnkPads may have been already leaked online.
Sources claim that a user on the Chinese site Baidu is claiming to be in the know of the next-gen Lenovo ThinkPads.
The user allegedly posted three images of the rumoured laptops: One showing the keyboard area of the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9, another two images contain the first look of the much anticipated Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 6.
The leaked images certainly do give us the first look at the Lenovos 2021 ThinkPads.
But, on the down-side, there is no way to verify the validity of the alleged images. So we have to digest the news for now with a pinch of salt.
The pictures however if are accurate, then this would reveal quite a few things about Lenovo’s upcoming ThinkPad line-up.
Both models appear to sport 16:10 aspect ratio displays, much like the recently announced Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Nano. The company seems to have changed the hinge design with a wider bar-hinge. The speakers on the new X1 Carbon 2021 seem to be positioned on the left and right of the keyboard.
The X1 Yoga 2021 looks to have at least one legacy USB A port, meaning that Lenovo might be thinking to make the new 2021 entry a USB-C powered machine.
On another note, the user even claims that the models will hit the market in February. Stay tuned for further details on the upcoming Lenovo’s 2021 models.
Disney films are fantastic. I mean no one didn’t like Endgame and Zootopia. Many of the streaming platforms offer Disney’s premium movies through their services.
The movies from the house of mickey have always been a part of Apple’s iTunes but only at 1080p. It was rather disappointing not to be able to play high-quality movies in 4K resolution.
But that has finally changed. With Apple now offering many of the Disney titles in 4K HDR, we can stream our favourite Disney movies in 4K video. Its time to revisit ‘Beauty and the Beast’ in 4K.
The reports first came from users of the US and Canada, as for now, only these two countries can access this new feature. Other countries will probably get access to the 4K versions from Apple by the end of this year.
Movies from Disney, Marvel, and Pixar all are included.
There are over 80 Disney titles available in 4K HDR on the iTunes Store. For those who have already purchased any of the titles, no need to worry. The purchased titles will automatically be upgraded to a sharper 4K version at absolute zero cost. Quite generous of Apple.

Zinedine Zidane also preferred Ferland Mendy and Marcelo over Reguilon for the left-back role. So Reguilon was on the lookout for a new club this summer.
There has been a shocking revelation now that Barcelona showed interest in signing the former Los Blancos player but he refused to join the Catalan side.
Reguilon shares the same agent as Coutinho, Kia Joorabchian. So Barcelona inquired about the Spanish left-back.
According to Okdiario’s chief pundit Eduardo Inda, speaking on El Chiringuito: “Reguilón shares a representative with (Philippe) Coutinho, and when he was negotiating the return of the Brazilian, he found out they were in Barcelona looking for cover for Jordi Alba and they asked him about Reguilón.
“He proposed it and Reguilon answered: ‘How am I going to go to Barça if I’m more of a Madridista than Santiago Bernabéu?’.”

Finally the wait is over, Apple has declared a new special Apple Event where we can expect the launch of the most awaited iPhone 12 series. The event will be online from Apple Park. Viewers can watch live on apple.com from 10 a.m. PDT on 13th October.

The signing of Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid may potentially solve Arsenal’s defensive midfield problems. But as such, it has raised an important technical issue.
The squad registration rules for both Premier League and Europa League, require a club to have no more than 17 foreign players. Arsenal currently have 19 players on their books in that regard, and so the outcome is that two players might not find game time whilst at their stay at the North London club.
The suggested players to be left out of the squads are Mesut Ozil and Sokratis.
Ultimately it might not be a big deal for Arsenal, as they have not depended on these two players in recent times. But it seeks to address problems in the transfers planning and the way the board are running the club. \
Mesut Ozil is one of the highest earners, with an inclusive wage packet of around £350,000 per week. It serves to beget the question as to why the Gunners have not been able to come up with a solution as yet to move Ozil on, whether it is a loan move or a permanent transfer.
From a tactical perspective, Arteta now lacks proper creative attacking midfielders. The likes of Xhaka, Partey and Elneny are more focused on the defensive side of things. Dani Ceballos hence is the only recognised No 10 eligible to play in Ozil’s absence.
A similar situation exists with senior Greek centre-back Sokratis. With the likes of Gabriel, David Luiz, Holding and Mari the more preferred options, he effectively finds himself frozen out of the club now.
Although he was tipped to move to one of Napoli or AC Milan, the transfer conditions never materialized. Of course, Sokratis can still eventually move in the January winter transfer window.
But overall, this is a situation that is uncomfortable for all parties involved and one would have to say that questions will be asked of the Arsenal strategy and planning team, as to how it has come to this.

Connectivity
The first thing you need to do is to download the ‘Mi Fit‘ app from the Google Play Store and then sign in with your Mi account. After downloading you need to open the app and add a device and select the Mi Band 5. You will get a pairing request on the band, which you need to accept and then you’re good to go.
The Mi Fit app is required to customise everything on your Mi Band 5. You can also check all the fitness activities and health measurements in the app.
You will also get hundreds of watch faces in the store which you can sync with your band according to your mood. Along with this, you will get all the options to customise your band and use it as you desire.
Design and build quality
The design is pretty similar to its previous edition, Mi Band 4. The display is slightly bigger and the curves of the screen are visible but the straps are the same. The design and loop-and-clip mechanism of the strap are exactly like its predecessor.
The Mi Band 5 fits almost perfectly on the wrist. On the downside, it houses a heart rate sensor and a charging port. The build quality also feels premium. The two rubber straps don’t feel to be of cheap quality and you won’t run any risk of having skin allergies by wearing this band for prolonged hours. The band is also water-resistant up to 50 metres.
Display
The most notable change of the Mi Band 5 from its predecessor is its display. The band features a 1.1″ AMOLED colour touchscreen. The screen on the Mi Smart Band 5 supports 100% of the P3 colour gamut.
The display is also bright enough to be seen in direct sunlight. But there is no ambient light sensor, so you will have to adjust the brightness manually.
The touchscreen is pretty accurate. It won’t miss a single touch and is also sensitive. So overall, the display is quite satisfactory.
Charging and battery backup
There has been an upgrade in the charging of the Mi Band 5 from its previous editions. Mi has now introduced magnetic charging, so you don’t need to remove the strap to charge the band. Just don’t lose the magnetic charger or else you’ll be in trouble.
Mi claims the battery will run for two weeks which is less than the 20 days battery backup of the Mi Band 4. Although, they also claim that you can surpass the 20-day mark if you use the band in power saving mode.
From my personal experience, the band took around 1 hour to go from 0-100 per cent charge, which is pretty quick. And once you’re done charging it to full, you won’t need the charger at least for the next 10 days. I have been using the band for the last 4 days and it is still on 87% charge (I’ve put it through average use). So you can definitely get 10-14 days of battery backup.
Functions
Mi has put in a lot of new features in the Mi Band 5 and has improved the earlier features. You just have to swipe up the screen to get the menus.
You’ll get the following options:
Status – It shows the steps, distance covered, calories burnt and idle alerts. It is near about perfect in measuring the steps.
Personal Activity Intelligence (PAI) – It is a measure of real fitness based on age, gender and existing fitness levels.
Heart rate – It will help you in monitoring your heart rate. The accuracy of the heart rate sensor has also been increased.
Notifications – If you have enabled receiving notifications from the MI Fit app then it will show the latest notifications from your phone.
Stress – It will give you the measure of your stress.
Breathing – It will help you with a breathing guide to ease out your stress.
Events – It will display all the reminders and events which you have set in the MI Fit app.
Weather – It will give you the current weather as well as the weather forecast of the upcoming days.
Workout – MI has introduced 11 workout modes: Outdoor running, Treadmill, Cycling, Indoor cycling, Walking, Elliptical, Rowing machine, Yoga, Jump rope, Pool swimming and Freestyle.
More – Here you will find the options of the setting an alarm, turning on DND mood, controlling your phone’s camera, music, stopwatch and change your band display and brightness. There are lots of options and features for the Band.
