Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9 & Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 6 appears in alleged leaked images online

With the advent of 10nm Tiger Lake processors, we have seen many OEMs adopting Intel’s latest semiconductor. The processor brings along with it Intel’s latest Iris Xe iGPU and support for Thunderbolt 4.

Earlier we saw Lenovo announcing its most affordable ThinkPad series sporting the latest Tiger Lake SoCs. This time, however, we have another scoop.

Lenovo’s first latest model to be launched next year, the 2021 Lenovo ThnkPads may have been already leaked online.

Sources claim that a user on the Chinese site Baidu is claiming to be in the know of the next-gen Lenovo ThinkPads.

The user allegedly posted three images of the rumoured laptops: One showing the keyboard area of the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9, another two images contain the first look of the much anticipated Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 6.

The leaked images certainly do give us the first look at the Lenovos 2021 ThinkPads.

But, on the down-side, there is no way to verify the validity of the alleged images. So we have to digest the news for now with a pinch of salt.

The pictures however if are accurate, then this would reveal quite a few things about Lenovo’s upcoming ThinkPad line-up.

Both models appear to sport 16:10 aspect ratio displays, much like the recently announced Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Nano. The company seems to have changed the hinge design with a wider bar-hinge. The speakers on the new X1 Carbon 2021 seem to be positioned on the left and right of the keyboard.

The X1 Yoga 2021 looks to have at least one legacy USB A port, meaning that Lenovo might be thinking to make the new 2021 entry a USB-C powered machine.

On another note, the user even claims that the models will hit the market in February. Stay tuned for further details on the upcoming Lenovo’s 2021 models.
