LG to bring a rollable display smartphone and a classic flagship segment in the upcoming March

After the LG Wing announcement, the company has teased about an upcoming smartphone, and it looked like a rollable one. In the next year, LG will put its focus mainly on two projects of them. One of those is Rainbow, whereas the other one is the B project. The first one is expected to be a classic flagship that is expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2021. It is assumed to be a continuation of the V-series of LG. The next one will feature a rollable screen.

If we talk about the smartphone’s rollable screen, then it will be a great advancement in terms of display technology. It is quite a bit nostalgic as well as many years ago, we all used this kind of sliding display in the keypad phones. But this time, we can enjoy this kind of display on touch phones too. After the introduction of the foldable display, this is something that every smartphone lover has wished to see, and LG has never disappointed us.

The B-project is considered to make this rollable display for the users. It has an “out there” design in which a part of the screen will be rolled up for compactness but will be rolled out during use for larger screen sizes.

LG is doing some serious business in terms of smartphones. As per some reports, LG is expected to ship around 26 million smartphones this year. In the next year, the number is expected to be even more, around 30 million units. Besides those flagships, LG is also there to make some real affordable mid-ranger smartphones for its users too. For these reasons, the trading of the LG smartphones is just crossing its limits.

As per the company’s writing in a press release in September:

“The Explorer Project will focus solely on new usability that is discovered with innovative designs while LG’s new Universal Line will be the company’s lineup of competitive devices that focus on consumer lifestyles, such as LG VELVET.”

OnePlus is going to launch the OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition on November 2

As per the reports, after the launch of the regular edition of the OnePlus 8T, the company is all set to launch the OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition on November 2 this year. The Cyberpunk 2077 is nothing but an upcoming action role-playing video game that is scheduled to get launched on December 10, 2020.

So, OnePlus has just signed a partnership with the video game developer company CD Projekt for this combined limited edition OnePlus 8T. It is basically a combined version of the OnePlus 8T and the Cyberpunk 2077 gaming theme. But it is not quite confirmed whether this special edition would get launched in the Indian market or not.

In this special edition, only the outer design of the OnePlus 8T is going to be changed. But the internal specifications are expected to be identical to the regular version of the OnePlus 8T. So, let’s recall them one more time. The OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition may run the OxygenOS 11, which is based on the Android 11 OS and may be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC chipset.

This phone is expected to offer a 6.55-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED hole-punch display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. This Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition of the OnePlus 8T has been teased about having yellow and grey accents.

In this edition, the Snapdragon 865 SoC is expected to be paired with only 12GB RAM/256GB storage variant. In terms of camera, this phone is about to come with a quad rear camera setup which includes a 48MP (f/1.75) primary sensor, a 16MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP Monochromatic, and a 5MP macro sensor (supported by dual-LED flash). For the selfies, this phone offers a 16MP (f/2.4) selfie shooter at the front, inside the hole-punch.

Regarding the battery, this phone is fueled by a 4,500mAH battery with the support of a massive 65W warp charging through a USB-C. Apart from it, this phone has every other connectivity option, like 5G, Bluetooth 5.0, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, and USB Type-C port for charging.

As per the pricing and availability, the company has already confirmed that the OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition will be available for pre-orders from November 4 onwards only in China. As of now, the pricing is not confirmed by the company. But as per some of the previous leaks, the OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition will be available in a 12GB/256GB variant at a price tag of around CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs. 43,600).

AMD Ryzen 5000 creates buzz with benchmark scores

AMD is all over the news with powerful processors and its sudden rise in quarter three earnings. But now it seems that the companies upcoming processors the AMD Ryzen 5000 based on the Zen 3 architecture process is garnering everyone’s attention.

The Ryzen 9 5950X is a 16C/32T CPU with a base clock of 3.9 GHz and a boost clock of up to 4.9 GHz. The single-thread performance of the 5950X in PassMark benchmark shows the CPU scoring about 3,693 points in the test, and the Ryzen 5 5600X’s score was 3,455. The Ryzen 9 5950X managed to outpace the current ruler of gaming processors, the Core i9-10900K, which also score 3,176 points, and the margin of gain is about 16.3%.

When it comes to multi-threaded performance, the new Zen 3 CPUs still pale in comparison against the Ryzen Threadrippers. The Ryzen Threadripper Pro 3995WX scored a massive 88,673 points with the Ryzen 9 5950X only outperforming the 16C/32T Ryzen Threadripper Pro 3955WX by 8%. But when everything is said and done, it is still praiseworthy that we see a 16% improvement over the Ryzen 9 3950X.

If we compare Geekbench 5 ratings, then the Ryzen 9 5950X reported a single-core score of 1,700 and a multi-core score of 14,018. This is a 20% increase in single-core and 26% increase in multi-core performance compared with Core i9-10900K. The Geekbench ratings also reported a massive clock speed of around 5 GHz.

It looks like AMD is finally ready to take down Intel with such leads in terms of single-core tests. While these results should still be taken with plenty of water, they show that the AMD CPUs will soon stand to be used as the default gaming CPU in the future machines

AMD’s processors are already being adopted by the likes of Apple and supercomputer LUMI. Soon, we think there will be a new king in the semiconductor market.

Micromax IN 1A Series First Look revealed on YouTube ahead of its launch in India

Micromax has announced that they will bring a new “In” series of smartphones on November 3 this year. This is an Indian company that is making its comeback to the market. So, it is a pretty good step from the Indian Government and is expected that after a long time, Micromax will make a good place in the market of smartphones in India.

But ahead of its launch, the first look and some of the key specifications of the Micromax IN 1A has been revealed on YouTube. Micromax founder Rahul Sharma has given a sneak peek of this upcoming IN series smartphone in the YouTube video of Technical Guruji, a famous YouTuber of India. So, let’s check what Rahul Sharma has revealed about Micromax’s comeback smartphone.

As per that video on YouTube, the Micromax IN 1A will be available in two color variants: White, and Blue-green shades. Also, we can find an X pattern on the rear side of this phone. This thinking of design is quite similar to what we have seen on the Realme Narzo series. In terms of chipsets, the smartphones of Micromax IN 1A series are about to be powered with the MediaTek Helio chipsets. The first variant is powered by the MediaTek Helio G35 chipset whereas the top variant is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC.

Rahul Sharma has not revealed anything regarding the RAM or storage variant. But we can assume that the Micromax IN 1A smartphone will have a minimum of 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Both the variants are about to feature a rear-mounted physical fingerprint scanner.

In terms of the camera specifications, the Micromax IN 1A smartphones is expected to feature a quad rear camera setup having a 48MP primary sensor. The specs of the other sensor have not been revealed yet. The selfie snapper comes in a hole-punch design, which is definitely a good improvement over the waterdrop notch.

That’s all we have got from that video. Other specifications are yet to be revealed by the company. Micromax has also teased a video on its Twitter handle featuring the display, and port & buttons of the phone. It shows that the phone’s left edge features the SIM tray and a single button (probably the power button). We have to wait till November 3 to put all the speculations to rest.

Apple One now available with three different tiers of subscription

Apple is stepping up its game in the growing market of digital media streaming. It’s Apple One proves how serious the Cupertino giant is about making its mark in the industry. The service comes bundled with a subscription for Apple Music, Apple TV Plus, and Apple Arcade in its one-month subscription package.

The bundle was announced at last month’s event, and yesterday, Apple confirmed its release. As of now, users can subscribe to the bundle via the App Store on iOS devices. Just open the store and head into the account page by tapping on the profile icon on the top right corner, tap subscriptions, and you will see the option to subscribe to Apple One.

Apple is offering three different tiers for its subscription. It ranges in price from the $14.95 Individual tier to the $29.95 Premier plans. The Individual plan offers Apple Music Apple TV Plus, Apple Arcade, and 50GB of iCloud storage. The $19.95 Family plan increases the iCloud storage up to 200GB and adds a family subscription to Apple Music. Lastly, the $29.95 Premier plan increases the iCloud storage to 2TB and adds subscriptions to Apple News Plus and Apple’s new upcoming Fitness Plus service.

The savings are likely to be complicated for most people. If all the plans are subscribed, then the Individual plan saves you $6 a month, the Family plan saves $8, and the Premier plan $25. It concerns individually subscribing to these services.

Apple can also be accessed via the settings app on iOS devices. Just open the app, tap your name at the top of the menu, and hit “Subscriptions,” and you should see the option to sign up. The company claims that the Individual and Family plans will be available in over 100 countries and regions. Still, the Premier tier is only limited to the US, UK, Australia, and Canada.

As per rumors in the media, Samsung will launch another A-series smartphone in the next year, and that will be the cheapest A series smartphone of 2021. It may also be known as the A025M/DS. As of now, the retail name is not confirmed.
