Asus finally revealed the launch date of the most awaited Asus Zenfone 7 series on August 26. The series is expected to come with two different smartphones – the vanilla version and the Pro version. The launch will be held in Taiwan and Asus official YouTube channel will broadcast the live stream which starts at 2 PM local time.
A recent tweet on its official Twitter account shows the first-ever promo video of the phone. The short video shows the full-view display of the phone. The last Zenfone has the world’s first flip camera and this might also flow down to this Zenfone 7 as well. Some reports also claim that both the Zenfone 7 models will come with flip cameras like Zenfone 6.
We can expect different Snapdragon chip-sets in both the Zenfone devices. It is anticipated that the vanilla version will come with Snapdragon 865 SoC whereas we can expect Snapdragon 865+ for the Pro version. There is also a hint in the official Livestream thumbnail, that the phones might retain the previous motorized flip selfie camera and this time might include quad camera setup.
Previously we had spotted the Zenfone 7 and 7 Pro in source code of the kernel version. In the source code, we had explained how we found the chipsets of the two smartphones. Now, another source claims that the vanilla version had been spotted previously in the Geekbench listing with the Snapdragon processor and 16GB RAM. This time the phone is coming with a huge RAM. Other detailed specifications are still mysterious in for both the devices.
After some astonishing games in the quarter-finals now it’s time for some more exciting clashes, as the first semi-final of this year’s Champions League is going to start from today. In the first semi-final German club, RB Leipzig will face Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain.
PSG has beaten Atalanta in the last round, courtesy of an injury-time comeback. Neymar’s tremendous display in the last fixture won it for the French giant. Neymar was adjudged as the ‘Player of the Week’. He attempted 16 dribbles aginst Atlanta, equalling the previous record set by Lionel Messi.
But there is an injury concern for the PSG side. PSG number 1 goalkeeper Keylor Navas was substituted in the semi-final after he pulled up a hamstring injury. The Costa Rican is an experienced goalkeeper and has won this competition multiple times in his tenure at Real Madrid.
On the other hand German side, RB Leipzig is doing a great job with their young side this season. They had beaten Atletico Madrid by 2-1 in the last round against all the odds. Leipzig’s young 33 years old manager Julian Nagelsmann, who once worked as a scout of PSG manager Thomas Tuchel, in his time at Augsburg in 2008.
Julian was forced to retire as a player for his injury and Thomas Tuchel requested him to work as a scout. That was just the start. Nagelsmann will relish the chance to knock his previous boss out of the Champions League. “Games against him are always interesting because he has a good idea of football,” Nagelsmann said of Tuchel last week. “Of course I was his player, but that was a long time ago. Coaching’s my game now, just like it’s his.”
So the stage is set. Can PSG change their fortunes in this competition this year? Or RB Leipzig will continue their dream run?

Chinese smartphone manufacturer, VIVO has pulled out of IPL 2020 title sponsorship deal due to the increasing India-China tension. VIVO was supposed to pay BCCI Rs 440 crores for each edition of IPL. So it was a massive blow for the Indian cricket board.
Since then BCCI has been on the lookout for a new title sponsor of IPL. BCCI had set a deadline till 14th August for the interested companies to submit their Expression Of Interest (EOI).
BCCI has now confirmed today that Dream 11 will be the official title sponsor of IPL 2020. Dream 11 will pay Rs 222 crore for IPL 2020.
JUST IN: Dream XI wins title rights for #IPL2020 with a bid of INR 222 cr, Brijesh Patel confirms to Cricbuzz
Dream 11 has signed a three-year contract with BCCI for the IPL title sponsorship deal but if VIVO returns for the next edition of IPL then Dream 11’s contract will be terminated.
If VIVO doesn’t return then, Dream 11 would continue to be the title sponsor of IPL until 2023. They will pay BCCI Rs 240 crores for each of next two editions of IPL if VIVO doesn’t return and they continue as the title sponsor of IPL.
Tata Sons was reported to be winning the race for this deal but surprisingly Dream 11 has been the winner with the highest bid followed by Byju’s (Rs 201 crores) and Unacademy (Rs 171 crores). It seems unclear whether Tata participated in the bid at all.
The deal with Dream 11 is half the amount of the deal with VIVO. Owing to current market conditions, BCCI decided to go for as low as 50% of the existing deal of Rs 440 crores per season.
The new deal also comes as a huge blow for all eight IPL franchises. BCCI used to pay 50% of the total amount it receives among all eight franchises. Each franchise received Rs 55 crore in IPL 2019 but that value will come down to as low as Rs 27.75 crore in IPL 2020.
BCCI will also get two other companies, Unacademy and Cred on-board as the official partners of IPL, which will give them another Rs 70-80 crores. So in total, they raised Rs 300 crores from new sponsorship deals compared to the loss of Rs 440 crores due to the VIVO pull-out. In this current financial conditions, these numbers seem pretty good.
BCCI has almost finalized all the sponsor deals so they will now fully focus on hosting the IPL 2020 in UAE from 19th September.

The Blaugranas have a lot of things at stake after the 8-2 humiliation against Bayern Munich and they are undergoing a lot of things at the board level as well.
Yesterday, a board meeting was held at the Camp Nou offices and it was announced that Quique Setien will no longer remain the coach of Barcelona. Former Barcelona defender Ronald Koeman will soon take charge.
On the other hand, the current club president Josep Maria Bartomeu did not resign, which he should have but called forward the upcoming elections by around 3 months.
Now step three is to rebuild the first team. They want to sign a player who can immediately have an effect at the club. And there’s no one better suited that Neymar Jr for that profile.
Neymar left Barcelona for PSG in 2017 for a world record transfer fee of €222 million. But since then he has always wanted to return to the Camp Nou. Last season, he went public with his wish but the transfer failed.
Now Barcelona has once again made Neymar their top transfer priority. In this time of financial crisis due to the Coronavirus pandemic, they are looking to offer a swap deal.
Antoine Griezmann hasn’t quite settled at Barcelona and he seems not to fit into the team. So Barcelona is planning to lure PSG by offering the French player. Greizmann has good chemistry with Mbappe on the pitch, which was on show during France’s World Cup win in 2018. So bringing in Griezmann and partnering with Mbappe would surely attract PSG attention.
Barcelona plan to offer Griezmann plus €60 million to bring Neymar back to the Camp Nou. The 28-year-old is in top form right now. He attempted 16 dribbles in the Champions League quarterfinals against Atalanta. He has equalled a historical record previously set by Messi in 2008.
Neymar is in his prime to take the mantle from Messi and on top of that Messi, Suarez and Neymar (MSN) formed one of the best-attacking trios. So if Barcelona can build that trio again, their chemistry would click naturally on the field and their free-flowing possession-based football can be back again.
