Apple M2 chip powered MacBook Pro coming next year

0

The Cupertino giant had an amazing 2020 with the unveiling of its own Apple Silicon, aka Apple M1 chip, that has totally stirred the market with its performance, drawing as much as just 10W power using an industry-leading 5nm process.

A new report arises that Apple might launch two new MacBook Pros – 13 inches and 16 inches with an M2 chip. Strangely, we expected to be some M1X chip that would have landed on Mac desktops as well. However, reports from Gizmochina say that Apple is planning a new and more powerful chipset for Mac devices — Apple M2.

New reports from China hints that Apple will be launching a new M2 chipset based on the same 5nm process, powering the upcoming MacBook Pros. Whereas in the year 2022, Apple is looking to make a shift to mini-LED and all of its MacBooks will be switching to better displays.

The report even claimed that Apple would be launching a couple of GaN chargers in 2021. Given that Apple is on a surge to make itself independent, I won’t be surprised if it makes more chips as it gives better results at lower costs.

0

Santa Monica based video publisher Activision Blizzard announced on Friday that its franchise Call of Duty has been doing quite well for itself over the past year. According to Activision, the company has set a new record by surpassing $3 billion in net bookings over the last 12 months.

This impressive number was reached thanks to the November release of the new game Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, available on the Xbox Series X/S and the PlayStation 5. The continued success of Modern Warfare and Warzone, which is a free-to-play online game has also contributed to the record number as it surpassed 85 million players since its launch in March.

Other means of revenue included a variety of products as well as services sold within the franchise’s ecosystem either physically or digitally over the past 12 months, publisher incentives, merchandise, and more. With over 200 million people who have played Call of Duty this year alone, units sold through are up over 40 percent year over year.

Activision shared its third-quarter report in which Call of Duty: Mobile was the highest-grossing game in U.S. app stores since last October.

In a press release, Activision made note of the incredible momentum created by its shared ecosystem business model for the series, which includes a multi-tiered release of games like Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Call of Duty Warzone, and Call of Duty Mobile.

“The momentum over the last year across the Call of Duty ecosystem from free-to-play Warzone as well as post-launch support of Modern Warfare, and now to Black Ops Cold War has been incredible,” said executive VP and general manager, Call of Duty, Activision, Byron Beede, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“This is the next great chapter in Black Ops with an amazing campaign, an all-new zombies experience, and, of course, high-octane multiplayer. Launch is only the beginning. We are focused on building a continuous pipeline featuring a tremendous amount of free, post-launch content and events across the franchise”, he added.

OFFICIAL: Napoli rename their stadium after Diego Maradona

0

After Napoli legend Diego Armando Maradona passed away last week, the mayor of Naples, Luigi De Magistris suggested the rename of the Napoli stadium after the name of the legend. Yesterday, the city of Naples officially approved the rename in honor of Diego Maradona.

An official statement, published yesterday, revealed that the stadium changes its name from the ‘Stadio San Paolo’ to ‘Stadio Diego Armando Maradona’.

Diego Armando Maradona passed away on November 25 at the age of 60. Maradona has spent 7 years in Italy with Napoli wearing the legendary number 10 shirt and won Coppa Italia and a UEFA cup in 1989.

Luigi De Magistris Tweeted, “Diego Armando Maradona, the most immense footballer of all time, died. Diego made our people dream, he redeemed Naples with his genius. In 2017 he became our honorary citizen. Diego, Neapolitan, and Argentine, you gave us joy and happiness! Naples loves you!”

“Let’s name the San Paolo Stadium after Diego Armando Maradona !!!”- he said in another Tweet.

Naples city council said, “With his immense talent and his magic, he honored the Napoli shirt for seven years, giving it two historical championships and other prestigious cups, and receiving in exchange from the whole city an eternal and unconditional love.”

Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis told Sky in Italy, “I’ve been in talks with local authorities for the past 17 years, I’ve always asked to buy the stadium and rename it ‘Diego Armando Maradona.”

“If then, for tradition, we will need to call it both ‘San Paolo’ and ‘Maradona’ so be it. It won’t change much, but it’s only right that Maradona has this recognition. Even if we were to build a whole new stadium, I would name it like that.”

“Your years here remain indelible in the memories of the people of Naples — symbolic of a coveted redemption and yearned-for resurrection.”-he added.

Complain arises regarding the iPhone 12s losing 5G signals on AT&T and Verizon

It has not been many days since Apple has launched its first 5G iPhone series, iPhone 12 series. But recently, a complaint arises regarding the 5G connectivity of the iPhone 12 series in the US. It is said by the users that the iPhones are losing connectivity while using 5G networks. Most of the cases have found in the United States and are on the Verizon or AT&T networks. Apart from it, one of them claims to be in Australia.

Like this is the very first 5G compatible iPhone series from Apple and people have started complaining about it that the iPhones of the iPhone 12 series spontaneously drop the 5G signals as well as losing all the bars of the network, lays down and has the 4 dots at the top and a notification pops out that reads “Your iPhone is not Activated”. The most annoying thing is that users get this problem even in high signal area and still never trying to reconnect by itself.

This problem may be arrived because of switching the service between the cell towers, like 5G connectivity to 4G/LTE. At the time of switching, the device may lose is 5G signals and consequences arose. As of now, there are not such proper fixes for this problem. Though, some common fixes are there such as turning airplane mode on and off. But those fixes are temporary as the problem will arise again and again. Basically, none of the fixes are reported to work in others.
