Barcelona have confirmed that midfielder Andre Gomes has moved to Everton on a season-long loan
The 25-year-old, Andre Gomes joined Barcelona from Valencia in 2015. But he fell out of favour at Camp Nou last season, and has moved away in search of regular first-team football.
Gomes also had offers from West Ham and Valencia but opted for the Toffees. He becomes the third player to move from Catalunya to Merseyside this summer, following in the footsteps of Lucas Digne and Yerry Mina.
Everton will pay €2.25m for the duration of the Portuguese international’s stay at Goodison Park.

Real Madrid confirm the signing of Thibaut Courtois for £35m on six-year deal. And Mateo Kovacic goes to Chelsea on season-long loan
The Belgium number one, 26, completed his move to the Spanish capital hours after Chelsea confirmed Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic had joined on loan. “Today I am realising a dream,” said Courtois. Real Madrid have not revealed how much they have paid for Courtois. He had a year remaining on his contract, but reports suggest the deal is worth up to £35m.
“This is the best club in the world. ” added Courtois. He signed for Chelsea in June 2011 from Genk. The Belgian was immediately sent on loan to Atletico Madrid. It is an amazing feeling.” Kovacic told Chelsea’s website. “I will try to do my best for this club. It is a new league for me, the beginning is always tough but I am sure the coach and my new team-mates will help me and I am looking forward to a great season.”
