Philippe Coutinho reduces 50% of his salary to stay at Bayern

Philippe Coutinho resides at Bayern and also completes his year-long loan span at Bayern Munich as June 2020 ends but due to the current situation, the Brazilian international decides to stay at Bayern until their Champions League campaign ends.

Obviously, the Barcelona loanee’s future was at stake on termination of his loan period, but according to Sport, both clubs have been forced to renegotiate and extend the loan spell by two months. This means Bayern Munich will now have him available for this weekend’s German cup final as well as the Champions League in August.

As per German outlet Bild, Bayern has decided to extend the loan of all three loan players at the club i.e. Coutinho, Perisic and Odriozola. Coutinho and Odriozola will ultimately leave when the season ends, but Perisic could actually stay.

All of the three players have accepted a 50% wage cut during the additional two months they will spend with Bayern. Bayern Munich already has won their 8th consecutive Bundesliga title and they both the German cup final against Bayer Leverkusen and the Champions League tie against Chelsea.

This extension will prove vital for Coutinho to perform in the last few matches, if he is included in the team, and if he does so, Barcelona will still get some money by selling him to any club, possibly back to the Premier League.

Vivo spends $182 million to build its new Headquarter in Shenzhen, China

Vivo is one of the most common names in the smartphone market for making products of every price range. This company initiated building its new office in Shenzhen, China. They planned to make this as their headquarter in the future and at the site, it alone spend 180 million USD.

The new office will of a 32 story building and scheduled to complete it by 2025. The responsibility to make this project is given to NBBJ, a US architectural firm. This firm has the records of designing the Samsung’s Silicon Vally campus as well as the Amazon Spheres in Seattle.

To boost the construction work and the financial fluency, Vivo gets the support of Tencent Holdings and ByteDance as a major investor. Among them, Tencent already contributed 1.2 billion USD to the campus and Vivo itself spends 1.3 billion Yuan on it. This amount is equivalent to 182 million USD.

“What we’ve seen now is part of a natural life cycle of these companies where they’ve outgrown their current facilities, and they need new ones to operationally support their growing global each. Miralem Pjanic only wanted a Barca move, says Fabio Paratici

The 30-year Bosnian midfielder is the latest signing by Barcelona or rather say a mutual deal benefitting both the Catalans and Juventus. However, Barcelona lost the younger Brazilian Arthur Melo but made itself clean with respect to Financial Fair Play, on the other hand, Juventus gained a young midfield to let go their Bosnian star who has been off form recently.

The Juventus director Fabio Paratici recently talked about this swap deal involving Miralem Pjanic and Arthur and also revealed the fact that Pjanic only wanted a Barcelona move.

Paratici even revealed that Juventus had been eyeing for Arthur for quite some time now and the club is thrilled to have finally landed the Brazil international.

“Pjanic is a very important player for us, so when the option emerged, we spoke to Miralem and he said he was happy here, so the only club he would’ve left us for was Barcelona,” he said.

“We found this player Arthur, who we had been tracking for a long time, and who is younger than Pjanic.”

Currently, both of the first team players will be continuing their respective games till the end of the season and only then completing their transfer moves. Miralem Pjanic has signed a four-year contract to play at the Camp Nou with a humongous buyout clause of €400m.

Juventus is the happier side in this deal as Barcelona are hunting for money as if losing young talented players have become a habit for Barcelona. The Catalans are landing more aged players these days, thanks to the current board, as we saw a few days ago, the young and talented Marc Cucurella being permanently sold to Getafe for just €10m.

Also, Barcelona draws in recent games almost confirm Real Madrid’s top spot in LaLiga who look fierce this time after lock-down period. This also has brought shadows over Quique Setien’s future at Barcelona as well.

The Apple Developer Transition Kit compared against the Surface Pro X in Geekbench

0

Apple recently announced that it will be shifting from Intel to its in-house silicon basically due to the failure in performance from Intel’s SkyLake architecture. Apple has made significant progress in its design point-of-view and made its ARM-based SoCs even comparable to the latest Intel ones.

The transition from Intel to ARM-based chips will take almost two years and to help developers with this transition, Apple gave away the Developer Transition Kit. This DTK is powered by the octa-core A12Z Bionic chipset seen in the recent iPad Pro which is even more powerful than the Intel Ice Lake-Y CPUs that powers the MacBook Air 2020.

The DTK is paired with 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB storage in a Mac mini enclosure, and recently, devs are benchmarking the new DTK although they aren’t supposed to. Comparing the score with an x86 CPU won’t be a fair battle, so instead, it is compared with another ARM-based Microsoft’s custom SQ1 chipset seen in the Surface Pro X.

Like the A12Z Bionic, the SQ1 chipset is also manufactured on a 7 nm process and has 8 ARM Cortex cores. These 8 cores are evenly split across performance and power-saving clusters on both of the chips, but the SQ1 has cores that can reach higher clock speeds because it was made for notebooks.

The SQ1 chipset has lower TDP and fewer GPU compute units than the A12Z Bionic, with higher FP32 floating-point performance. Now, as we see in the benchmarks, the Apple chip has better single-core scores but the SQ1 chipset leads marginally with respect to multi-core performance. This scene is prevalent in both Geekbench 4 and 5 benchmarks.

Not to forget, that the comparision is with the retail unit of Microsoft Surface Pro X against the DTK which features the A12Z Bionic running on the new macOS 11 Big Sur, which is still is in Beta phase and with more optimizations for ARM-based SoCs, performance should improve over the time. Also, a powerful Apple SoC can also be in development that can be used when this transition gets over i.e. finalized or even before that.

Official: Manchester City and Bayern Munich finally agree on Leroy Sane deal

Bayern Munich has been interested in the Germany international for almost 2 years now. Leroy Sane has been deemed as the perfect replacement for Franck Ribery in Bayern’s right flank. But the Bundesliga champions were unable to lure in Sane in the previous seasons, so they had to make a loan deal for Inter winger Persic as a makeshift winger.

Sane, himself was keen to return to Germany in a bid to challenge for the Germany spot in international competitions. He missed out on the 2018 World Cup but hopes to be in the Germany squad for the Euro which was postponed to 2021.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola said when asked about Leroy Sane on Wednesday: “It’s not already done, there are still some little issues, but it looks like he’ll go to Munich. I wish him all the best.”

“I give him big thanks for these years together and I wish him all the best in a fantastic club. He wants to leave – everyone has their own life. I would have loved him to stay here, but he decided to leave, he thinks he’ll be better and happier, so I’ve nothing to say.”

Bayern Munich has recently won their eighth straight Bundesliga title. They have already started preparing to build a stronger team for the next season. Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben were one of the most threatening duos in world football. After they retired Bayern somewhat struggled in European competitions.

Bayern has now successfully replaced the duo by Leroy Sane and Serge Gnabry. Both of them have electrifying pace along with football intelligence. They can pass as well as finish with the best of them.

Bayern Munich are going to pay €50m or a little close to €60m to Manchester City for Leroy Sane. This is a very good business from Bayern’s perspective. Sane’s last competitive goal for Manchester City came in a win away at Manchester United in April 2019. He has been out for almost 1 year with an ACL injury, but we all know how dangerous and talented a player he is!

Leroy Sane has already arrived in Munich to complete his medical. He is set to sign a contract that will keep him at the Allianz Arena till 2025 and see him earn up to €17m a year in Germany.

He can definitely help the club to bring European success and has the potential to be a future Ballon d’Or.

OnePlus Nord pre-orders exhausts almost immediately, more dates announced

As per previous leaks, OnePlus Nord is the new mid-range smartphone from the brand that costs under $500. Yesterday the company put it up for its initial pre-order without knowing the actual specs of it or any further details about it.

But according to Notebookcheck‘s sources, the stock was exhausted within a minute. Obviously, people have complained about their frustration, that they were to pre-order the device.

Also, several comments on the @oneplus.nord Instagram page show that people were unable to place a pre-order even with the device even if they had them in their baskets.

However, be assured, because OnePlus will host additional pre-order events on July 8 and July 15. Both of these sales will start at 10:00 CEST. The pre-order event on July 8 will be a “Limited Pre-order”, while the pre-orders will be available for 24 hours on July 15.

But apparently, the launch date of the device remains uncertain, most probably, according to rumours, July 10 seems the date of global release.

OnePlus has now confirmed that the OnePlus Nord will feature a Snapdragon 765G SoC and have 5G connectivity. Additionally, the company even claims that the OnePlus Nord will have a “flagship-level camera” for under $500, which remains a point to be proven.

Sony to announce PS5 pricing & availability info on July 13

0

There is a lot of speculation regarding the pricing of Sony’s next-gen PS5 console that is supposed to change the gaming experience forever. Even though the hardware and games are revealed, but we have no clues officially regarding pricing and availability.

So if you are a PS5 fan, then you should probably mark July 13 on your calendar right now, as because it seems the date when Sony will finally reveal some important details about its next-gen console.

According to Roberto Serrano, who is known to have offered some interesting information about the PS5 in the past, believes that the price, release date, and pre-orders for the console will be unveiled that Monday.

When he was asked about his source, Sorrano offered up this response: “I’ve my sources inside the entertainment industry”. Obviously, this claim seems very bold but until the date arrives no one has any clues about it.

The same source also says that if the July 13 reveal date gets changed somehow, then Sony will actually reveal all the PS5 details even before that date, and not after that, quite interesting. Now, it’s unknown that this July 13 PS5 reveal will take place in the form of a live stream, which Sony did previously, or just announce with a press release or blog post.

But if this is true, Sony will be ahead of Microsoft who has only revealed as much Sony has with no pricing or release date as such. Also if Sony becomes the first to announce pre-orders for the PS5, this will be game-changing move as millions of fans are dying to get their hands on the Sony’s next-gen console.
