YouTube Music for Android Auto gets a new update with changes to Navigation UI

YouTube is the go-to destination for video streaming and has been the favorite choice for anyone who wants to find any handy DIY video. But the company also has its music app. YouTube Music has been available on not only Android mobile OS but also Android Auto for quite some time.

And now the parent company has decided to give the app one of its biggest redesigns. The YouTube Music on Android Auto will be getting a new navigation tab and more. The updates will be rolled out as a part of the YouTube Music 4.30.50 Android app, this redesigned interface for Android Auto is a fairly major shift from the old interface.

The biggest change that the update will bring to the new YouTube Music interface on Android Auto is the four navigation tabs across the top. There are four tabs in total, the first being a “Home” tab, which includes shortcuts to recently played media. We also get a ‘Last Played” tab for most recent songs or albums. “Library” includes all our playlists and saved media, and there’s also a dedicated tab for “Device Files,” i.e. locally stored media.

However, if the user is not a regular YouTube Music user, the “Last Played” tab won’t appear. The same applies to “Device Files.” If there is not any locally stored music, the tab doesn’t show up.

But, the changes in the navigation are not the only thing that the new YouTube Music design for Android Auto will be getting. The main UI will also be updated with more visual elements. The new update will slightly improve the app even further and will make the app less dependent on reading text which is a good thing for a car app. There’s also a constant YouTube Music logo in the top corner, which the new update will bring.

App Store leaks hint at new ‘Mind’ app to be announced at WWDC, will include Tips and Contacts apps in watchOS 8

Developer Khaos Tian via his latest tweet may have given us a sneak pic of the latest features Apple is going to announce at its WWDC on Monday.

The app store manifest now features updated references to various new app bundle identifiers. ‘com.apple.NanoTips’ and ‘com.apple.NanoContacts’ are in reference to the new apps that Apple will launch. ‘com.apple.Mind’ is an interesting new addition, a mental wellness app that Apple will integrate with the watchOS 8.

Tips and Contacts have been standalone apps on the iPhone for many years and now Apple is finally bringing them to the Apple Watch through watchOS 8. Contacts functionality in the watchOS 7 and earlier is a component of the Phone app.

With respect to the Mind app, we had heard rumors regarding the development of the app. It was rumored that it could be a mere feature in the breath app but now it is confirmed that Mind will be a standalone app.

One more app reference, ‘com.apple.findmy.finditems’ is a separate entry to the find my app. Apple has most likely split the item-finding functionality into a standalone application. Currently, Find My support on watchOS 7 is limited to finding friends as its name suggests, Find people.

Apple’s keynote kicks off at 10AM PT on Monday.

Benzema opens up about his return to the French national team and teaming up with Mbappe at the club level

0

Karim Benzema has been called to the French national team for the first time in 6 years. He would line up alongside Mbappe and Griezmann in what would be one of the best attacking lineups in Euro 2020.

Real Madrid is also going through an transition as Zidane has left the club and Ancelotti has been appointed as his replacement.

Karim Benzema has given an exclusive interview to Marca and talker about Mbappe and Ancelotti among other things.

Q: You look like the happiest man on the planet.

A: Sure, I feel like the happiest man in the world. For me, what makes me happiest is my family and football. And I am happy in Madrid, and nothing that I have returned with France to play the European Championship, I can only be proud, happy and looking forward to starting the tournament.

Q: Do you feel the potential of this France team in every training session? Do you see why they are favourites?

A: It is a very, very strong team throughout, from the goalkeeper to the midfield and the attacks… with players in the best clubs in the world. Then speaking of the favourite is more something that is spoken of outside of here. We know the strength that we have in this team, although you have to show it.

Q: The group will see France take on Germany, a clash with your teammate [Toni] Kroos and also when you faced off in the World Cup quarter-final in 2014 you lost. Is there a feeling of revenge?

A: No, there is no revenge. Many things have happened after and a lot of time has passed. We have won the World Cup, we have been in the final of the European Championship… I only want to enjoy and win the match. It’s clear that playing against Toni will be different because I am used to playing with him, he plays the ball to me a lot and now he will be my opponent.

Q: Will Real Madrid be capable of creating a great team next season despite the difficult situation brought about by COVID-19?

A: If we look at last season, we fought for the LaLiga Santander title until the last matchday and we were very close to winning it. We reached the semi-final of the Champions League and Chelsea beat us before going on to win the competition, we had 60 injuries and we never had a full strength team, so it was complicated. Having said that, if the club believe that we have to strengthen, they should do it, but the objective is to improve every year to win title and we can do it.

Q: [Carlo] Ancelotti has placed a lot of faith in you; what is your opinion about his return?

A: It is good news, we know him well, players and fans. He is a great coach. I like his philosophy, how he sees football, how he manages the group and how he leads the team. And he wants to win all the titles.

Q: [Zinedine] Zidane has also been very important in your career and he has left Real Madrid. Did you expect it? What is your opinion [on his departure]?

A: Yes, of course, it was a surprise for everyone, not only for me. But certainly, he has always been like a big brother to me. Because I have known him for a long time and he has helped me both on and off the pitch. It was a difficult decision for everyone. Now we have another coach and we are going to try to be successful again.

Q: Would you like to play with [Kylian] Mbappe? What is your opinion about him on and off the pitch?

A: Kylian is a young player with immense quality and he is a good boy. He would be welcome at Real Madrid of course, but what team wouldn’t want to sign him in an instant? Now he has a contract with Paris Saint-Germain and we will see what he decides. Today our priority is to win the European Championship.

A new Realme device render emerges on TENAA

Realme is gearing up to release a bunch of new devices in the upcoming months. A rendered image of an unknown model has appeared on TENAA. Interestingly, this listing was taken down later. Weibo tipster, fortunately, managed to take a screenshot of the image.

From first impressions, the device seems to be a 6.55″ FHD+ OLED panel with HRR support. No information regarding the type of front camera and refresh rate is known as of yet.

Realme will most likely equip the device with a 4500mAh battery within an 8mm chassis. The device features the serial number RMX3366. It will most likely have a Snapdragon 870 chipset or Snapdragon 778G chipset as Realme is expected to bring 2 devices into the market with those specifications.

The device appears to feature a transitioning design and will have cement gray as the primary color. We have to see if Realme reveals more details on the device or if any more leaks emerge.

Xiaomi to integrate earthquake detecting functions into devices.

Xiaomi is looking to integrate its devices with sensors and AI algorithms that will be able to warn users about emerging earthquakes. Xiaomi in 2010 had partnered with Chengdu High-tech Disaster Mitigation Institute to integrate an earthquake alert on their custom MUI ROM for phones and Smart TV.

Xiaomi released data claims this feature had warned users of 35 earthquakes of a 4.0 magnitude and had sent a total of 12.64 million warning messages since its release in November 2019.

Xiaomi has now teased a new feature that may possibly enable users to not just receive earthquake warning information but also monitor them. In order to do so, they would have to add sensors that would monitor the earth’s seismic activities in real-time. If Xiaomi successfully does this, it will bring down the costs of earthquake monitoring and increases the possibility to prepare for an incoming earthquake.

The new feature does not have an official launch date yet. Mi users with devices that are currently running MIUI 12.5 development version can go to Mobile Phone Manager-Earthquake Early Warning to apply to join the earthquake monitoring volunteers.

Xiaomi explained that when the sensor detects the vibration, it will judge whether it is a vibration caused due to an earthquake via edge computing. If it verifies it, it sends the information to the early warning center and the center will use the information to determine if there is a legitimate threat of an earthquake.

The app’s information will be used to determine the epicenter location and evacuate those areas at the earliest. This will increase the total number of earthquake monitors and places without sound earthquake monitoring systems will be benefitted the most.

Xiaomi has confirmed that the app will not jeopardize the privacy of its users in any way. Xiaomi is unlikely to integrate this feature into devices that launch outside China.

Top 5 biggest upsets in the European Championships history

0

The beauty of football lies in the fact that one can never truly call a result with 100% certainty. Upset victories are what makes football such a special game. And with the Euros less than a week away, let’s dive into the history of the competition and take a look at the top five biggest upset victories in the Euros.

1992 group stage: Sweden 2-1 England

England led the fixture only four minutes post kick-off, but the hosts were resolute and dug deep to send them home. Jan Eriksson and Thomas Brolin got onto the scoresheet to pull off a historic comeback that made the latter a national hero.

1996 group stage: Czech Republic 2-1 Italy

Pavel Nedved opened the scoring for the Czechs following their defeat against Germany, but Enrico Chiesa equalised for the Azzurri. Luigi Apollini was later sent off and Radek Bejbl took advantage of the extra man to fire his team towards the knockout stages.

2016 round of 16: England 1-2 Iceland

The most infamous match in England’s recent history, Iceland pulled off an absolute heist when they sent the Three Lions packing in the last edition of the Euros. Ragnar Sigurdsson would neutralise Wayne Rooney’s early penalty, while Kolbeinn Sigthorsson scored the second, taking advantage of an error by Joe Hart.

1992 final: Germany 0-2 Denmark

Denmark weren’t even supposed to participate in the 1992 Euros, but ended up winning the competition. They participated only because Yugoslavia had to back out. And they made the most of the opportunity, with John Jensen scoring the first goal in the first half while Kim Vilfort netted the second 12 minutes from the end to earn the Danes their first ever international tournament.

2004 final: Portugal 0-1 Greece

Angelos Charisteas scored the only goal of the game, as Greece won the 2004 finals against the favourites heading into the game. Their defense was remarkable throughout the knockout stages since they did not concede a single goal on their way to the title, which also shows that the victory was fully deserved.

Square Inc. positively trusts Bitcoin and is setting a mining facility called Blockstream

Since cryptocurrency is increasing in the market and it seems that the value of cryptocurrency will indeed keep on increasing unless of course, Elon Musk doesn’t tweet anything unwanted.

In the latest news, Square Inc. has recently partnered with blockchain technology provider Blockstream Mining to build an open-source, solar-powered bitcoin mining facility, Blockstream. Square earlier tweeted stating, “committed to driving further adoption and efficiency of renewables within the bitcoin ecosystem.”

According to sources, the financial firm will be investing $5 million in the facility, which will be a “proof-of-concept for a 100% renewable energy Bitcoin mine at scale. We hope to show that a renewable mining facility in the real world is not only possible but also prove empirically that Bitcoin accelerates the world toward a sustainable future,” stated the firm in a press release.

since the mining of Bitcoin uses a lot of electricity, many are searching for a more efficient way to produce the source. Tesla CEO Elon Musk said in April that the automaker would stop accepting bitcoin as payment for its vehicles, after announcing that it would make crypto transactions roughly a month prior. Elon Musk stated that the cryptocurrencies like bitcoin “come at great costs to the environment.” Elon Musk and the bitcoin miners group agreed to form a Bitcoin Mining Council, “to promote energy usage transparency [and] accelerate sustainability initiatives worldwide.”

Square CEO Jack Dorsey, who is also CEO of Twitter, has been a huge promoter of Bitcoin who believes that bitcoin will become the world’s single currency within 10 years. The financial firm invested $50 million in bitcoin in October and added another $170 million in February.

Wijnaldum chooses PSG over Barcelona in a shocking turnaround

In a dramatic turn of events, Gini Wijnaldum has decided to join PSG over Barcelona after the French club started late contract negotiations with him. He was pursued by the Blaugrana last summer as well, but the transfer did not go through due to Liverpool’s wish to keep him, and more importantly, Barcelona’s financial troubles.

And despite him being heavily linked with a switch to Camp Nou as a free agent this summer, he has changed his mind at the 11th hour. PSG have offered him double the salary that Barcelona are offering the player, and the La Liga outfit are not stepping up their bid to bring the Dutch international over.

PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino has called the player personally numerous times over the last few days and has spoken to him about a move to the French capital, talking about his role in the team among other important topics.

His medicals will take place in the Netherlands national team camp since he is currently on international duty, being a part of the squad that will compete in the upcoming European Championship. PSG want to finalise the deal as soon as possible, and Wijnaldum will be a very notable addition to the club’s midfield options.

While Wijnaldum had an agreement with Barcelona about personal terms and had planned medicals, he had not put pen to paper. And with free agents, nothing is finalised until the contract has been signed. Hence, the last-minute switch is a fair option to take up for the player, who has kept his options open all this while.
