India’s most talked-about couple is finally saying I do — and they’re doing it entirely on their own terms. The No-Phone Rule That’s Breaking the Internet

In an era where celebrity weddings flood Instagram within minutes, Vijay and Rashmika are doing something remarkably bold — banning all mobile phones from the venue. According to a source quoted by India Today, “It’s a very small guest list. No phones will be allowed. Even the team capturing the wedding has signed the Non-disclosure agreement.”

That’s not just privacy — that’s a full-blown digital fortress around what may be the most anticipated wedding in South Indian cinema history.

The couple has reportedly also sent personal handwritten notes to guests, warmly requesting their blessings and specifically asking them not to bring gifts. Two pre-wedding rituals have already reportedly taken place within their respective families, honouring long-standing traditions.

From Geetha Govindam to Real-Life Vows

Fans have shipped this couple since they first shared the screen in Geetha Govindam (2018) and Dear Comrade (2019). What began as on-screen chemistry quietly blossomed into a real-life love story that the two kept tightly under wraps for years. Now, as the wedding invite goes viral and Udaipur awaits, the wait is finally over.

A grand reception is planned for March 4, 2026, in Hyderabad, where the South Indian film fraternity is expected to join in celebrating the newlyweds.
