Vijay Deverakonda fans will have to wait a little longer for his high-octane action drama Kingdom. The much-anticipated film, which has already faced multiple delays, has now been postponed once again.

Initially slated for a March 30 release, the movie was later pushed to May 30, and then to July 4. However, just days before the latest scheduled premiere, the film’s producer has confirmed yet another delay.

Producer Naga Vamsi Breaks Silence

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), producer Naga Vamsi addressed fans’ growing impatience and admitted, with a touch of humor, that he’s aware of the “sweet curses” being hurled his way due to the delay. However, he reassured audiences that the team is working tirelessly behind the scenes. “Trust me, our team is working around the clock to bring you a massive big-screen experience,” he wrote.

He also promised that the film would be well worth the wait. “The adrenaline rush this film delivers is unreal. Kingdom has a winner written all over it. It’s a full-meal commercial entertainer packed with loads of drama in Gowtam’s style.“

Why the Delay?

While the exact reason behind the multiple postponements hasn’t been explicitly shared, the emphasis on fine-tuning the cinematic experience suggests that the team wants nothing less than perfection for their audiences.

Vamsi revealed that both a release date teaser and a song announcement are on the way, adding to the excitement despite the wait.

Director Gowtam Tinnanuri Earns High Praise

Producer Vamsi didn’t shy away from expressing his admiration for director Gowtam Tinnanuri. Interestingly, he signed Gowtam before even hearing the script, citing confidence in his storytelling style and cinematic flair.

“I knew I wanted to work with Gowtam Tinnanuri because he is an excellent storyteller with a great sense of style. Our paths were meant to cross.”

He also highlighted the film’s powerhouse crew: “Almost everyone on the team has won a National Award. So imagine a group of National Award winners working together to create an action drama.”

Apart from Vijay Deverakonda in the lead, Kingdom features a strong ensemble cast including:
