Since their college days, Azeem worked as a radio jockey for Radio One, an Indian commercial radio network. Before entering into the acting career, Azeem appeared as a video jockey (VJ) for the TV show Zee Tamil. After this, he appeared on Moon TV as a producer-host for a television show. In 2012, Azeem became an anchor for a TV show on Sun TV.
In 2012, Azeem kicked off his acting debut with the television show Maya as Ashwin along with Vani Bhojan on Jaya TV. In 2013, he was featured in two television shows Privom Santhippom as Karthi and Deivam Thandha Veedu as Charan on Star Vijay. In May 2016, Azeem rose to fame when he appeared as Arjun in the TV show Pagal Nilavu on Star Vijay.
After this, he takes shape in several shows as Niram Maratha Pookkal like Ramakrishnan on Zee Tamil (2019), and Poove Unakkaga as Kathiravan Shivanarayanan on Sun TV (2021).
In 2018, he appeared in the 10th season of the famous dance reality show Shivani Narayanan on Star Vijay. In this show, the celebrity contestants participated in pairs. Azeem and Shivani end up as the 3rd runner-ups of the show.
Last year, Azeem participated as a contestant in the sixth season of Bigg Boss Tamil on Star Vijay. On 22nd January 2023, he bagged the winner’s trophy in the Boss Tamil season 6 and had been bagged with a cheque of Rs. 50 lakhs.
