A Farewell—Or the Dawn of the Hell Arc?

Saying goodbye to Bleach feels deeply personal for fans who grew up watching Ichigo unsheathe Zangetsu. But creator Tite Kubo isn’t hanging up his pen entirely.

While Kubo clarified during a recent fan-club Q&A that he has no plans to endure the grind of a weekly serialization schedule again, he admitted he still has stories left to illustrate. Whispers of a continuation for the long-teased Hell Arc—first introduced in the 2021 one-shot—continue to electrify the fandom. Kubo even hinted at unveiling unreleased lore, such as Kenpachi Zaraki’s true Bankai name, at upcoming exhibits.

With massive celebratory showcases slated across 2027 to honor the manga’s 25th anniversary, the television broadcast may be dimming its lights, but the spirit of Bleach burns brighter than ever.
