Vibe, the action-comedy directed by and starring Kunal Kemmu, alongside Sparsh Shrivastava, Preity Zinta and Yashpal Sharma, is confirmed to release in theatres on 18 September 2026.

What the Film Is About

Vibe follows two ordinary friends, Hardik (played by Kunal Kemmu) and Bugs (played by Sparsh Shrivastava), who never set out to be heroes but find themselves pulled into an unexpected, high-stakes mission when the country faces a major threat. Preity Zinta plays a commanding figure known as Madam H, who draws the unlikely duo into the increasingly dangerous situation. The film blends comedy, friendship, and action as the pair navigate a mission far bigger than anything they anticipated.

Marketing Rollout So Far

Amazon MGM Studios first unveiled the film’s teaser poster in August 2026, followed by the official teaser on 21 August, which ran for one minute and twenty seconds and offered an early look at the chemistry between Kemmu and Shrivastava’s characters. A full trailer followed subsequently, giving audiences a more detailed look at the film’s mix of comedy, action, and chaos, and further highlighting Preity Zinta’s intriguing role as Madam H.

Behind and In Front of the Camera

Vibe marks Kunal Kemmu’s return to the director’s chair following his previous film, Madgaon Express. He also stars in the lead role alongside Sparsh Shrivastava, known for his breakout performance in Laapataa Ladies, and Preity Zinta, who plays a key supporting role. The film also introduces debutant actress Vanshika Dhir, with Dinesh Lal Yadav (popularly known as Nirahua) and Yashpal Sharma rounding out the cast in pivotal roles.

The film is jointly produced by Kunal Kemmu and Chirag Nihalani under their banner, Drongo Films, and is being distributed by Amazon MGM Studios India.

A Notable Comeback for Preity Zinta

Vibe continues a busy period for Preity Zinta, who returned to the big screen with Batwara 1947, an Aamir Khan-backed, Rajkumar Santoshi-directed film that marked her first theatrical role in eight years, since Bhaiaji Superhit. That film also featured Sunny Deol, Ali Fazal, and Karan Deol. Her role in Vibe follows closely on the heels of that comeback, adding to her return to prominent big-screen roles this year.
