Prahaar Teaser: Rajkummar Rao Portrays Ujjwal Nikam

Prahaar: When a nation faces its darkest hour, the battle for justice extends far beyond the streets and deep into the halls of law. Maddock Films has officially unveiled the gripping Prahaar teaser, giving audiences a stunning first look at one of India’s most intense real-life legal battles. Starring the remarkably versatile Rajkummar Rao, this biographical courtroom drama brings the historic trial of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks to the big screen.

Rajkummar Rao Leads a Powerful Real-Life Legal War

The newly released teaser highlights a courtroom thriller built on pure determination, strategy, and immense national stakes. Rather than relying on standard cinematic tropes, the footage firmly establishes its core tension with a striking tagline: “Killing Kasab was easy, proving who sent him was war.”

To authentically portray the legendary Special Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam, Rajkummar Rao underwent an incredible physical transformation. Gaining nearly 10 kilograms, thinning his hair, and mastering a distinct Marathi linguistic cadence, Rao completely sheds his star persona to embody a man demanding accountability. Directed by the acclaimed Avinash Arun (Paatal Lok), the narrative shifts focus from the tragic night of the 2008 attacks straight to the grueling procedural battle that forced the lone surviving terrorist, Ajmal Kasab, to face the gallows.
