128 Points Put Nongshim RedForce on Top After Day 2

Nongshim RedForce (NS) closed Day 2 of the BMIC 2026 International Cup at the top of the overall table with 128 points, 23 clear of DK and Kiwoom DRX (KRX), who are tied on 105. NS took three chicken dinners in the first 12 matches, put up the most finishes and position points of any team, and finished Day 2 with the strongest team and individual numbers in the event so far. The final match of the day, Match 12 on Miramar, was the clearest example of why.

Match 12: NS Take the Miramar Chicken Dinner

NS finished Match 12 with 18 finishes, 2,598 damage, and 1,003 healing. Those numbers came from a four-man squad that spread the work across the lobby rather than relying on one player.

NSXXZY1 was the match’s standout, with seven finishes, 1,018 damage, and five knocks. He also recorded four assists, which shows how much of the squad’s work was built around him creating openings and finishing fights. NSXSOEZ added five finishes, five assists, and two knockouts, and survived to the end alongside the rest of the squad with 29:13 of survival time.

Three NS players survived the full match, which is what the 29:13 survival time for each of them shows. That is an important detail, because surviving to the end of a match is what lets a team collect position points on top of finishes.

NS’s 28 points were the most of any team in Match 12, and their 18 finishes were nearly three times the next-highest team’s total. The match table also shows how wide the gap was between a team that wins and a team that only finishes. 8BIT had seven finishes but a single position point, which left them tied with SOUL on eight points despite very different match profiles.

NS lead with 128 points and three chicken dinners. DK and KRX are level on 105, with DK ahead on wins. KRX’s position points of 36 are the reason they trail DK on the list of wins, even though their finish totals are almost identical.

What Day 2 Meant for NS

Over six matches, NS won twice, on Erangel in Match 9 and on Miramar in Match 12. Their Day 2 performance was built on consistency: they recorded 18 finishes in Match 12 and nine in Match 9, and they scored more position points than any other team across the whole event so far.

NS’s leadership is also one of the strongest stories of the event. NSXSOEZ was named Best IGL with a rating of 1.37, an average of 10.67 points per match, eight top-five finishes, and three chicken dinners as a leader. NSXXZY1 sits top of the MVP ranking with a rating of 3.22, 29 finishes, 5,826 damage, and 27 knocks across the event.

Where NS Go From Here

NS now have 18 matches’ worth of points on the board across 12 games, with six left to play. Their lead is large enough that a single bad match will not cost them the top spot, but DK and KRX are close enough to make the final stretch interesting. The question for the rest of the event is whether NS can keep finishing high in every match, or whether the pressure of defending a lead will change how they play.
