Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich has made a shocking comment about their last 16 first leg clash against Liverpool. According to him Liverpool are the clear favourites to progress to the next round.
“Liverpool are the favourites.” the full-back told The Telegraph. “They have lost one league game all season and have let in only 15 goals. But when you look at us, we are not as consistent as before.
Now, it’s a bit different. It’s a chance to develop, to find new ways to success. We are close to Dortmund, in the quarter-finals of the DFB-Pokal, and still in the Champions League. So, not everything’s bad. But we need to improve our style of playing before we can compare to the best teams in Europe.”

Arjen Robben has said that Anfield is his “worst stadium” as he prepares to return there with Bayern Munich on Tuesday. Robben has suffered three Champions League eliminations at the home of Liverpool, twice with Chelsea in 2005 and 2007 and with Real Madrid in 2009. “I think if you ask [about] the worst stadium for me, it’s probably Liverpool,” Robben told the Mail on Sunday. “There has to be one. You always have your favourite opponent and there always has to be negative one.”

Mats Hummels and Robert Lewandowski will face their former coach Jurgen Klopp. They were key players in Klopp’s Dortmund side that won back-to-back league titles in 2011 and 2012.
“I worked together with these boys. Two fantastic players. I have to be really thankful – without them probably my career would not be the same,” Klopp said. “We all benefited from each other. That’s part of my life and part of my history. We’ll always have a lot of respect for each other. I know a lot about them. I really like them. We will try everything to, what can I say? This game could be a pivotal one in both Bayern’s season and the career of James. The World Cup Golden Boot and FIFA Puskas Award winner of 2014, as well as the fourth most expensive signing in Real Madrid’s history, is in a rut.
As unbelievable as it would have sounded just two or three years ago, James’ elite-level days are in limbo. A star turn against Liverpool might be needed if that is to change.

Sadly, Bayern Munich will be without Boateng and Ribery against Liverpool. “Boateng is missing because of a gastrointestinal infection,” Kovac said ahead of Bayern’s flight from Munich. “Ribery became a father last night. He will be travelling this afternoon.”

However, winger Kingsley Coman is in the squad after tests revealed he did not sustain serious ankle damage in last Friday’s 3-2 Bundesliga win over Augsburg. Sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic said they would wait until nearer kick-off before deciding whether Coman can be risked. “It looks positive, he’s a bit better,” he said. “We’ll see. We have 36 hours left. I can’t give a final statement yet.”

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp believes that Bayern Munich could be “more dangerous than before” against Liverpool due to their inconsistent form in 2018-19. He thinks Bayern’s improved results since a run of no wins in four games in September shows they will be a real threat at Anfield.

Klopp said : “After six years as the dominator of the league, it was clear this would be a more difficult year. They are two points behind Dortmund, they play Dortmund at home, they’re in the cup [DFB-Pokal], in the Champions League last 16… It’s a completely normal situation.
With a huge quality team, you need to have the desire of a newcomer combined with the quality of a real contender. Maybe in the beginning of the season they didn’t have that but the situation from my point of view makes them even more dangerous than before.
We cannot have the same target as Bayern because they are six times in a row the champions, they want to make history with a seventh. Our history would be completely different. Maybe we achieved a little bit more than people expected so far but both are in a similar situation.
It’s a long way to go but we don’t have to think about the league, just the Champions League. If I wasn’t involved, I would buy a ticket.”

Jurgen Klopp will face his two former players Mats Hummels and Robert Lewandowski. They were key figures in his Dortmund side that won back-to-back league titles in 2011 and 2012.
“I worked together with these boys. Two fantastic players. I have to be really thankful – without them probably my career would not be the same,” he said. “We all benefited from each other. Xherdan Shaqiri has spent two-and-a-half years with Bayern Munich between 2012 and 2015. He is looking forward to the challenge of facing a side he enjoyed a trophy-laden spell with. He was a part of the Bayern squad which conquered Europe as part of a stunning treble-winning success in 2012-13

The 27-year-old forward told Liverpool’s official website: “I was very happy [with the draw] because I wanted to play against Bayern Munich, against my old teammates and my old team. I’m looking forward to the game. It was an amazing time [at Bayern]. Two-and-a-half years I was there and it was amazing; we won a lot of titles, we won the Champions League. We had the best team Bayern Munich had. It was an amazing feeling to win so many trophies. I had many great memories there, I will never forget them. I’m really looking forward to going there and trying to win the game in Munich with my team.
Shaqiri added: “I’m looking forward to the experience. It’s going to be amazing. We can go very far, I hope. They are going to be two very difficult games against Bayern because they are a top side. The two games will be interesting because both teams attack and play offensively. We need two very good performances to go through.”

An ever-present in the Premier League and Champions League to date this season, Van Dijk will miss the first leg of the Reds’ last-16 tie after accumulating three bookings during the group phase.
“Of course he’s a massive miss, a big miss,” the skipper said. “I think he’s played every game this season so I think you can see how important he is for us as a team. But at the same time I feel as though we have enough quality in the team to be able to cope with it tomorrow night, and not just relying on our two centre-halves to defend – it’s up to the whole team to defend and we do it together. So whoever plays there I am sure will know the role and what’s expected of them. But of course he’ll be a big loss.”

Henderson was also quizzed on the form of Naby Keita, who has started Liverpool’s last four matches. The midfielder stated: “I think everyone can see how good Naby is as a footballer, but as I know myself coming to Liverpool, it’s such a huge club – and especially changing to the Premier League – is tough. It takes time to adapt. I think he’s done really well in certain games he’s played and I can see him getting used to the way we’re playing and the manager has helped him improve, and I can definitely see the potential you can see coming out of him.
At the same time it takes time to feel right at home, but in the last couple of games you can see the quality that he gives the team and how good he is.”

Heung-min Son : Arguably one of Asia’s grestest ever player

Tottenham Hotspur forward Heung-Min Son has credited his love for football for his fine form for both his club and his country South Korea.

Heung-min Son signed for Tottenham Hotspur for £22 million in 2015, becoming the most expensive Asian player in history. While at Tottenham now, he has become the top Asian goalscorer in Premier League history.
Son has represented South Korea at the 2014 and 2018 FIFA World Cups. He is South Korea’s joint highest scorer at the World Cup alongside Park Ji-sung and Ahn Jung-hwan with three goals. He was the captain of South Korea at the 2018 Asian Games where the team won gold. He also played in the 2011, 2015, and 2019 editions of the AFC Asian Cup, finishing runners-up in 2015.

Son had not carried out the two-year mandatory military service expected of his countrymen and faced being called up if South Korea failed to win the final in the Asian Games. But the victory in the final, gave the whole South Korea squad an exemption from the two-year mandatory military service and ensured an end to the uncertainty surrounding Son’s football career.

In the absence of Harry Kane and Dele Alli in recent weeks, the South Korean has stepped up and has become the go-to guy for Tottenham. He has been one of the stand-out performers in the Premier League this season, according to Jamie Carragher.

The Spurs star been one of the revelations of the 2018-19 season and has scored in his last four games in all competitions, taking his tally to 16 goals in 32 appearances.
Since returning from international duty with South Korea at the end of January, having played at the Asian Cup, Son has scored in all four Spurs games, including late, decisive goals against Watford, Newcastle and Leicester.

“I’m just trying to enjoy every moment,” Son said. “Honestly, there’s no better thing than football for me, and I’m happiest when I’m playing football. I don’t have much stress really, but I get rid of stress by playing football. I think that is how I can keep going. I have no issues with my fitness level at the moment.
Sometimes, when there are some hard times for me, I can still keep thinking about football. I always feel thankful for having a chance to play football.”

Tottenham’s 3-0 Champions League result over Borussia Dortmund made it 13 wins out of 13 when Son Heung-min scores, much to the delight of Mauricio Pochettino.
“Next time Son scores I will go to the dressing room, have a shower and wait for the game to finish,” Pochettino joked to the media. “Son was fantastic again, he’s doing fantastic. He’s a player that provides the team with a lot of very good things. His smile, he translates good energy and his performance in every game is improving. We’re so happy.”

Son’s Tottenham teammate Jan Vertonghen hailed him, saying the “special” attacker was one of the best players in the Premier League.
“I have played with some great players and against some great players, and Sonny is special,” he told UK newspapers. “He is so humble and I think you underestimate that because of the work he puts in. Then his quality – outstanding left foot, right foot. He can play striker, left wing, right wing, he can play as a [number] 10, he played as a wing back. He’s an outstanding player. I am not going to say he is at the level of whoever, but he’s one of the best in the Premier League.”

Heung-min Son has been rewarded for his superb form. He is reportedly set to earn a second pay rise in twelve months following his impressive form for Tottenham. He has only signed a five-year contract in July, but the Spurs hierarchy are ready to offer him another new deal before the start of next season. According to Mail Sport, Son currently earns around £110,000 per week but can expect similar terms to Dele Alli who earns £150,000 per week.

Will It Be Manchester City or Liverpool That Lifts the Premier League Trophy?

After 26 weeks of English Premier League action, the top two teams in the division – Manchester City and Liverpool – cannot be separated.

Both have accumulated 65 points, with City’s goal difference the only thing keeping them ahead of the Merseyside outfit.

With 12 rounds of matches to go – Pep Guardiola’s men only have eleven however, having played one more than the Reds – it’s all to play for, and the bookmakers can barely split them.

Take a look at the latest Premier League betting odds and we see City installed as the 8/11 favourite, with Liverpool slightly longer at 6/5.

But with Mo Salah and co leading their line, surely Jurgen Klopp’s outfit are serious contenders to the throne?

Perhaps the remaining fixtures will give us the best idea of the destination of the Premier League trophy come May.

Big Rivalries Could Shape the Future

When you look at the assignments facing both teams, it’s difficult not to feel a bit of sympathy for Liverpool.

On back-to-back weekends, they face arguably their two biggest rivals in football – Manchester United and Everton – away from home, with a tough tie against Watford sandwiched in-between.

Scroll further down the fixture list and you see games against Tottenham and Chelsea too, as well as a tough two-legged encounter against Bayern Munich in the Champions League that will surely take it out of their players.

As for Manchester City, fresh from a 6-0 thrashing of Chelsea, they too aren’t without difficult fixtures. They’ll head to Old Trafford in March to take on their city rivals, and a home date with Tottenham late in April is clearly a thorough examination of their quality.

But otherwise, their remaining games look agreeable by anyone’s measure, and their greater resources when compared to Liverpool hands them the edge.

A Question of Depth

Mo Salah won every award going after the 2017/18 campaign, and why not: the Egyptian scored 44 goals and assisted many more as the Reds nearly won the Champions League.

But there is an argument to be made that Jurgen Klopp is overly reliant on his fleet-footed forward, and when you consider that he and Sadio Mane, combined, have contributed 49% of Liverpool’s Premier League goals between them, an injury to one or the other would be catastrophic.

The Reds have netted 15 goals fewer than Manchester City in the league, and their goals per game tally – 2.27 – is somewhat lower than the 2.79 that City plundered in their title-winning effort last season.

So, when you think about it, Liverpool score fewer goals than their nearest challengers and are heavily reliant on just two players; that appears to be a recipe for disaster, and with 12 games still to go may be something that they live to regret.

In defence, City have been bouyed by the news that captain Vincent Kompany will sign a new contract, but it’s in attack where they are at their most intriguing.

Guardiola has five players at his disposal who average 0.5 goals per 90 minutes in messrs Aguero, Sterling, Sane, Jesus and Mahrez. Liverpool have just two regulars who offer that output.

Squad depth is key, and that explains why City are so successful; if Sterling goes out, Sane can come in. Mahrez for Bernardo, De Bruyne for Silva, Jesus for Aguero….the list goes on.

Liverpool, by contrast, will have to rely on the likes of Xherdan Shaqiri, Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi should Salah, Mane and co break down in this final third of the campaign.

That is the exclamation mark at the end of the statement that Manchester City should, and probably will win the Premier League this season.

Google originally started as a search engine and with years it has excelled a lot and has made lot of technological advancements.

Not only they have introduced Android, but also a variety of online products and new platforms. Google has made lot of their own products including smart home devices, smartphones, tablets and others.

Now, it seems Google is taking a further move for a better future. Google has always stayed in the core of the technology and operated via its own softwares.

The thing that Google has missed ever since it has made its own products is that they rely on third party manufacturers to make its own products. This turned out to be one of the main disadvantage of the company.

As we all know processors, network chips and other vital microchips lays the foundation for any modern day device. So, building them by own cuts down the cost a lot, but that requires lot of investment.

So, Google now seems to be making a move by developing their own chips for its own range of products. According to Reuters, Google has hired more than a dozen microchip engineers in Bengaluru in recent months.

Since 2014, Google has only designed computer server chips for its own data centers and image processing chips for its own range of Pixel smartphones.

Now, if Google excels to make powerful and efficient chips like those coming from Intel or AMD, that will actually help them to make better products and cut down the price of their own products.

It’s competitors like Amazon.com Inc, Microsoft Corp, Apple Inc and Facebook Inc each have launched similar chip design efforts that will in turn help them to make fascinating and better products for their consumers.

Here in Bengaluru, Google has hired a minimum of 16 engineering veterans and 4 talent recruiters to form its own “gChips” team from traditional chipmakers including Intel, Qualcomm Inc, Broadcom Inc and Nvidia Corp, according to a review of LinkedIn profiles.

Rajat Bhargava who describes himself on LinkedIn as Google’s “silicon site lead” in Bengaluru, says he joined last May after a decade at Broadcom and a year at Intel.

Google can likely grow its manufacturing team to 80 people by year’s end. Their existing chip manufacturing team in Silicon Valley will likely to fine-tune and test design ideas before shipping final ones off to manufacturers.

The company has even posted 13 job postings for roles related to chips in Bengaluru, according to a recent check of the company’s careers website.

Well, this thing was quite expected, but the bigger thing is that the chip designing of the so called gChips have started out in India. While other tech giants like Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Facebook has hired staff in other countries, Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai has laid the roots in the Indian soil.

India has a lot of potential, from brain to the growing economy. Also, the fact remains that there are a lot of Android users in India than in other developed countries. Even Apple is reportedly thinking of making moves to establish its manufacturing unit in India.

So, getting passionate feedback, making new technological advancements in such an aspiring country will prove to be lot more beneficial in the upcoming future.

UEFA Champions League is back in action! Round of 16 starts

It felt like a never ending wait since the draw was made. But finally Champions League football is back in our lives. Lets take a look at the Round of 16 draws.

After a three month break, the Champions League is back! The Round of 16 gets underway with four mouth-watering first leg clashes on Wednesday and Thursday before the other eight teams play the first match of their ties the following week.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Round of 16 matches :

The fixtures :

The Rule :

Whoever scores more goals between the two sides over the two leg fixtures (with the second played three weeks after the first) will go through to the Quarter Finals.
But don’t forget about the home and away goals rule. If the tie is level on aggregate goals after the two games, then whichever team has scored more goals away from their home will advance to the quarter finals.
However, if both teams have scored the same amount of home and away goals, then extra time will be played at the conclusion of the second match. If no goals are scored in the extra 30 minutes, then the tie is decided on penalties.

The games which you can’t miss this week :

Manchester United v PSG :
This tie is a perfect reminder of how quickly football can change. Six weeks ago, nobody gave Manchester United a chance. Now they’re the favourites.
Paris Saint-Germain must cope without the injured Neymar and Edison Cavani and now Thomas Meunier to halt the surge of a revitalised Manchester United if the French champions are to avoid more pain in the Champions League last 16.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford flying. Victor Lindelöf looks a different player.
With Neymar and Cavani missing, the spotlight is on 20-year-old Mbappe to shine on the Champions League stage like he did in delivering the World Cup for France.

Ajax v Real Madrid :
Real Madrid have steadied the ship after their disastrous start under Julen Lopetegui and will be buoyed by their derby win against Atlético on Saturday.
It would typically be a clash of stars against prodigies but when they face each other in the Champions League last 16 on Wednesday, the difference will be harder to distinguish.
Frenkie de Jong and Matthijs de Ligt will attempt to live up to already-swelling reputations while the likes of Donny van de Beek, Andre Onana and Kasper Dolberg could also enhance theirs.
Vinicius Junior has had less time than Ajax’s De Jong, with only six starts in La Liga and one in the Champions League, but his impact has been arguably just as dramatic, the hype around the Brazilian already comparable.
Experience and quality will make the difference on Wednesday as the Champions League kings aim to build on their three consecutive UCL wins.

Tottenham vs Borussia Dortmund :
Both sides will be without their star men. Marco Reus will be missing for the Bundesliga leaders while Harry Kane remains sidelined after damaging ankle ligaments for the third successive year. Heung-min Son has been superb for Spurs with Christian Eriksen following close behind. For Dortmund, Jadon Sancho has taken centre stage.
Tottenham have never been past the last 16 of either the Champions League or the Europa League since Pochettino arrived from Southampton in May 2014. Now Bundesliga leaders Dortmund, who visit Wembley for the Champions League last-16 first leg on Wednesday, stand between Pochettino and his first European quarter-final in what could be his last season with the north London club.

Roma vs Porto :
After reaching the semi-finals of last season’s Champions League via a miracle victory over Barcelona, Serie A giants Roma will be hoping to replicate their success this time around.
Unbeaten in their last six in the Serie A, they’ll be keen to translate their recent performances onto the European arena as they welcome a Porto side who haven’t lost a game since October.
The Portuguese side have never lost to Roma, and boast a pair of veterans brimming with experience in the competition who will be key in extending that run. Former Real Madrid teammates Iker Casillas and Pepe, who boast 268 Champions League games between them, have reunited at Porto and loom as key factors in the clash.
Roma fans were less than impressed when Radja Nainggolan left for Inter, but beyond the €35m transfer fee, Nicolo Zaniolo also arrived. With 21 appearances, four goals and two assists, Zaniolo will likely be starting against Porto on Tuesday. Blessed with incredible technique, vision and a dreamy left foot, he is definitely one to watch out for.

Android is the most common name you ever heard in the field of the mobile OS. Insect nowadays Android users are rapidly increasing in the comparison of iOS. Through the entire journey, it gets updated several times.

In the case of naming Android follows the alphabetical order, hope you noticed. The last version is Android Pie. As per the sequence, the next update should predict starting from ‘q’. The full name is not declared yet.

The Dark Theme:

Most of our regularly used apps just like YouTube have there inbuilt dark mode. Sometimes it looks pretty well. But for the entire smartphone dark theme, we used to use many launchers. But this may become history after launching 10.0 update.

Through this feature, you can enjoy dark beauty everywhere on your phone. Your eyes may get protected from the brightness sometime and can save battery life as well.

You will find the Dark Mode Activation box inside the Display option of Settings.

Desktop Mode:

You will find a new option called desktop mode. Basically, you can add an external display by availing this feature, though this feature is in the experimental stage.

Permissions Management:

The security system in the Android Q is going to be harder. They reconstructed the permission section more user-friendly and more accessible.

Now you can access all the permissions for different apps. You are thinking what’s new, right? In this version, you can actually manage the time duration. You can set when an app can access which permission and when not.

Development Option:

There are some new noticeable features added to the developer options. Two of them are Force Desktop Mode and Game Update Package Preferences. Both of these options’ features are not clear yet.

In the game update package preferences, you find an option to select a graphics Driver.

Accessibility:

‘Time to take action’ and ‘Time to read’ are the new addition in the accessibility option. Through the first one, you can set “how long to show messages that ask you to take action, but only visible temporarily.” And through the second one, you can set “how much time you want to read and take action on messages that automatically go away.”

Lastly, all the information mentioned is only leaks and remorse. Android has not officially announced anything yet. We can expect that the maximum of these features will come to us and make your experience better.

Amazon India and Flipkart have displayed the pre-launch promo of the Vivo V15 Pro and from there we can see that the device will have the world’s first pop-up 32MP front camera, triple lens rear cameras, and in-display fingerprint scanner and it seems that they have modified the Vivo NEX with few specs modified in it.

A live hands-on image of the Vivo V15 Pro was spotted on Weibo this week, showing off the back of the device in a shiny gradient blue colour. The rear panel is likely going to be glass or glass-like and the blue colour pictured looks deeper and darker compared to the blue we have seen in renders and the promo video. We can also clearly see the AI triple camera setup in a strip on the top left side, and the pop-up selfie camera.

The triple camera system on the back will see a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP secondary camera and a ToF (Time-of-Flight) camera for 3D depth mapping. It seems the primary camera will use pixel binning to offer a large 1.6-micron pixel and an effective output of 12MP. Apart from the camera module and the Vivo logo, the rear panel looks clean and glossy. As mentioned, the phone will not get a physical fingerprint sensor but an in-display sensor, which is Vivo go-to choice now.
