Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL : Everything you need to know about it.

Google Pixel 4 looks more or less the same as the latest Samsung Galaxy S10 series.

Google Pixel 4 is the upcoming smartphone from Google and will be featuring a punch hole display same as we have seen in the Samsung Galaxy S10 series. Previous year Google had launched the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, which had an awkward notch which came way down into the screen itself. According to many, the notch in that device looks very different and awkward and people are not liking it very much. The brand has done this kind of designing because they had to fit two front-facing cameras at that cut-out. Well this cutout for an extra camera was not necessary to an extent because of a reason that Google makes one of the best cameras in the market. One single lens in a Pixel device can click amazing pictures far better than few other dual lens devices in the market right now. Though the Google Pixel 3 devices had some issues priorly after launch regarding the display, but over all they are a good device in hand.

According to some renders and some leaks we can be sure that Google Pixel 4 is going to have a punch hole display just as same as the Samsung Galaxy S10 series. But we were expecting something different in this case, but pictures show that Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL is going to have the punch hole display located at the top corner. One hole for the Pixel 4 and two for the Pixel 4 XL. For some this is quite good looking than the previous notch design beacuse the punch hole is at one side of the whole screen and do not disturb the whole display, remains at one corner. Let’s have a look at the specifications of these devices.

  • 5.8 inches and 6.5 inches Quad-HD AMOLED display
  • 8-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Processor
  • 6GB RAM
  • 64GB and 128GB internal storage, no micro SD card support
  • Android Q (Android 10)
  • Improved dual rear AI cameras : Main 12.3MP f/1.7 sensor & 16MP ultra wide-angle f/2.4
  • Dual 8MP front-facing cameras (Single 8MP camera in Pixel 4)
  • Two front-facing Boomsound Stereo Speakers
  • 3,100mAh and 3,800mAh battery
  • Fast charging and wireless charging enabled
  • IP68 Dust & Water resistant
  • USB Type C, Google Assistant, Face unlock, No 3.5mm headphone jack, Dual sim, and many more…

Google Pixel 4 Price :

Google’s two new smartphones coming later this year will likely match Samsung and Apple when it comes to pricing. These are premium high-end Android phones with the latest hardware, software, great cameras and all the boxes checked in the spec sheet.

Basically, this new Pixel will still be expensive, coming in around $799 or more. Then, we believe the bigger and better Pixel 4 XL offering more cameras and longer battery life will again be around $899 or more, then another $100 extra for those looking to get a model with more RAM and extra storage, like a 128 or 256GB model. These won’t be cheap.

Availability :

Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL is said to be announced at early October of this year and will come into sale from the end of the month or early November. This is somewhat as per the leaks we know and can expect something even more from Google in this year.

The schedule of the 1st 17 matches of IPL 2019:

You can book the match tickets of your favourite team from IPL’s official website.

Let’s have a look at the 8 IPL teams:

CSK

Chennai Super Kings

Chennai Super Kings have retained the bulk of the squad beforehand, so CSK had a minor role to play during the latest auction. However, they did bring in a valuable addition to their Indian pace arsenal in the form of Mohit Sharma. He had essayed key roles for the team in the past.

DC

Delhi Capitals

Delhi Capitals have retained 14 of their previous players and acquired Shikhar Dhawan during the transfer window. Delhi’s auction outing was all about filling the gaps. They had let go of overseas names like Glenn Maxwell, Jason Roy and Liam Plunkett. They made up for it by roping in solid options like Keemo Paul, Sherfane Rutherford and Colin Ingram, which blends well with the young Indian names in the setup.
Ishant Sharma’s presence also provides an experienced lending hand to the pace department, which has talented domestic pacers like Nathu Singh and Bandaru Ayyappa along with big overseas names like Kagiso Rabada and Trent Boult. Overall, a balanced squad which should hold Delhi Capitals in good stead to set their poor record in the IPL straight.

Traded: Shikhar Dhawan from Sunrisers Hyderabad for Abhishek Sharma, Vijay Shankar, Shahbaz Nadeem

KXIP

Kings XI Punjab

Kings XI Punjab were heavily dependant on the top order in IPL 2018, especially KL Rahul. Their shortcomings with the middle order eventually cost them a spot in the playoffs. In order to address the imbalance, they chose to refurbish their squad by only retaining10 players before the auction. They have let go several Indian names, including Yuvraj Singh, Manoj Tiwary, Axar Patel and Mohit Sharma.
Having secured Mandeep Singh via a transfer, KXIP concentrated on acquiring finishing options – Moises Henriques and Sam Curran being a couple of them. In Nicholas Pooran, an explosive batsman, they also got a ‘keeping option and by getting Varun Chakaravarthy, they also went for an extra mystery element to complement Mujeeb. Hardus Vilojen and Mohammed Shami bring their experience to the pace department.

Purse at the start of the auction: Rs. 36.30 crore
Players bought in the auction: 13
Purse at the end of the auction: Rs. 3.7 Crore
Squad strength: 23

KKR

Kolkata Knight Riders

Kolkata Knight Riders had a lot of work to do going into the auction. They had lot of loopholes to fill – carrying forward from the disappointing returns of their last year’s auction. Yet again, like they do in a lot of auctions, made some surprise buys. It is a testimony to their strategy team as to how they manage to deliver results with some surprising picks. While Shrikant Mundhe and Nikhil Naik were outright surprising picks, they managed some good foreign picks – a department that needed serious loading – in Lockie Ferguson, Anrich Nortje and Joe Denly. Going for two outright quicks could also be an indication of how they could be planning for the upcoming season.
While they got most of their foreign picks easy and cheap, they got into an intense tussle for Carlos Brathwaite. Having paid Rs. 5 Crore for the Windies all-rounder, it remains to be seen if he can find a place in the starting XI. While KKR strengthened their pace and all-round department, they probably missed a batsman, going home with more than Rs. 6 Crore in their purse.

Purse at the start of the auction: Rs. 15.20 crore
Players bought in the auction: 8
Purse at the end of the auction: Rs. 6.05 Crore
Squad strength: 21

Squad:
Retained:
Dinesh Karthik (C), Robin Uthappa, Chris Lynn, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Shubman Gill, Piyush Chawla, Kuldeep Yadav, Prasidh Krishna, Shivam Mavi, Nitish Rana, Rinku Singh, Kamlesh Nagarkoti
Bought: Carlos Brathwaite (Rs 5 crore), Lockie Ferguson (Rs 1.60 crore), Anrich Nortje (Rs 20 lakh), Nikhil Naik (Rs 20 lakh), Harry Gurney (Rs 75 lakh), Yarra Prithviraj (Rs 20 lakh), Joe Denly (Rs 1 crore), Shrikant Mundhe (Rs 20 lakh)

MI

Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians had little work to do at the auction as they have retained their core group of players. Two of their biggest investments were in the old warhorses – Lasith Malinga and Yuvraj Singh. While the Sri Lankan slinger slots in directly as the death bowling specialist for Mustafizur Rahman, who was released, Yuvraj Singh might struggle to find a place in the starting XI.
All the other buys, barring Barinder Sran, are young players – most promising of them being Punjab’s Anmolpreet Singh. As is the case with MI in the past, majority of the newcomers are unlikely to fit into the XI but Anmolpreet and Sran are good additions as backups. The squad didn’t need much, and as such there will be no reason for them to feel disappointed.

Purse at the start of the auction: Rs. 11.15 crore
Players bought in the auction: 6
Purse at the end of the auction: Rs. 3.55 Crore
Squad strength: 24

Squad:
Retained: Rohit Sharma (C), Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Krunal Pandya, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Mayank Markande, Rahul Chahar, Anukul Roy, Siddhesh Lad, Aditya Tare, Quinton de Kock, Evin Lewis, Kieron Pollard, Ben Cutting, Mitchell McClenaghan, Adam Milne, Jason Behrendorff
Bought: Lasith Malinga (Rs 2 crore), Anmolpreet Singh (Rs 80 lakh), Barinder Sran (Rs 3.40 crore), Pankaj Jaiswal (Rs Rs 20 lakh), Rasikh Salam (Rs 20 lakh), Yuvraj Singh (Rs 1 crore)
Traded: Quinton de Kock from RCB (for Rs 2.8 crore)

RR

Rajasthan Royals

Jaydev Unadkat once again became the biggest buy of the auction, as Rajasthan Royals bagged him for Rs. 8.4 Crore which was Rs. 3.1 Crore lesser than what they paid last time around. Pace continued to be on their agenda even after that as they got Oshane Thomas and Varun Aaron for a total of Rs. 3.5 Crore.
While that makes for an impressive pace roster, in addition to the spin talent already in the team, some other gaps were not plugged as efficiently. With Steve Smith, Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes and possibly Jofra Archer available for only a part of the 2019 season, the lack of powerful back-up options could hurt the Rajasthan Royals. They will depend on their late picks such as Ashton Turner and Liam Livingstone to come good when that time arrives.

Purse at the start of the auction: Rs. 20.95 crore
Players bought in the auction: 9
Purse at the end of the auction: Rs. 7.15 Crore
Squad strength: 25

Squad:
Retained: Ajinkya Rahane, Krishnappa Gowtham, Sanju Samson, Shreyas Gopal, Aryaman Birla, S. Midhun, Prashant Chopra, Stuart Binny, Rahul Tripathi, Ben Stokes, Steve Smith, Jos Buttler, Jofra Archer, Ish Sodhi, Dhawal Kulkarni, Mahipal Lomror
Bought: Jaydev Unadkat (Rs 8.4 crore), Varun Aaron (Rs 2.4 crore), Oshane Thomas (Rs 1.1 crore), Shashank Singh (Rs 30 lakh), Liam Livinstone (Rs 50 lakh), Shubham Rajane (Rs 20 lakh), Manan Vohra (Rs 20 lakh), Ashton Turner (Rs 50 lakh), Riyan Parag (Rs 20 lakh)

RCB

Royal Challengers Bangalore

As with several other IPL auctions, RCB went after the flavour of the season, but this time managed to land Shimron Hetmyer and big-hitting all-rounder Shivam Dube at a combined cost of Rs. 9.2 crore. This pair, they hope, will be key to answer one eternal question – Who after Kohli and de Villiers
While RCB spent much of the auction picking up future prospects – teenaged leggie Prayas Barman (Rs. 1.5crore), Karnataka opener Devdutt Padikkal (20L), Delhi batsman Himmat Singh (65L) and Akshdeep Nath at a curiously high Rs. 3.6 crore, they made no attempt to address their death bowling woes. Nathan Coulter-Nile, who missed last season with a stress injury, could only play a bit-part if he’s called up for national team duties for the Pakistan series, leaving Tim Southee, Mohammed Siraj and Umesh Yadav to bear the burden of the Chinnaswamy once more.

Purse at the start of the auction: Rs. 18.15 crore
Players bought in the auction: 9
Purse at the end of the auction: Rs. 1.8 Crore
Squad strength: 24

Squad:
Retained: Virat Kohli (C), AB de Villiers, Parthiv Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal, Tim Southee, Umesh Yadav, Navdeep Saini, Kulwant Khejroliya, Washington Sundar, Pawan Negi, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Moeen Ali, Mohammed Siraj, Colin de Grandhomme
Bought: Shimron Hetmyer (4.2 crore), Devdutt Padikkal (20 lakh), Shivam Dube (5 crore), Heinrich Klassen (50 lakh), Gurkeerat Singh (50 lakh), Himmat Singh (Rs 65 lakh), Prayas Ray Barman (Rs 1.5 crore)
Traded: Mandeep Singh for Marcus Stoinis

SRH

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad continued their prudent ways at the player auctions, picking up just three players to complete their squad. Wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha, who fetched a winning bid of Rs. 5 crore in last year’s auction, went for just Rs. 1.20 crore this time around. SRH also added a foreign wicketkeeping option in Jonny Bairstow. The two can share wicketkeeping and top-order duties over the season as Bairstow is expected to be unavailable for the second half. Shreevats Goswami is the other option.
It was clear that SRH came armed with the idea of finding an able top-order back-up for the swashbuckling David Warner, who like Bairstow, will leave midway for World Cup preparations. Once SRH failed to secure their first-choice targets in Hetmyer and Ingram, they swooped for the New Zealand opener, Martin Guptil – getting him for his base price of Rs. 1 crore.

Purse at the start of the auction: Rs. 9.7 crore
Players bought in the auction: 3
Purse at the end of the auction: Rs. 5.3 Crore
Squad strength: 23

Squad:
Retained: Basil Thampi, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Deepak Hooda, Manish Pandey, T Natarajan, Ricky Bhui, Sandeep Sharma, Siddarth Kaul, Shreevats Goswami (wk), Khaleel Ahmed, Yusuf Pathan, Billy Stanlake, David Warner, Kane Williamson, Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi, Shakib Al Hasan
Bought: Jonny Bairstow (Rs 2.20 crore), Wriddhiman Saha (Rs 1.2 crore), Martin Guptill (Rs 1 crore)

UEFA Champions League 2018-19: The historic comebacks to go through to the quarter-finals and the analysis of the quarter-finals draw in full

Today the draw has been made for the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals and semi-finals. Let’s have a look at the draws in full!

This season’s UEFA Champions League has been the stories of comebacks and shocks. The biggest shock of the Round of 16 was the elimination of the 3 times defending champion Real Madrid, by a young but inspired Ajax side The teams that made to the quarter-finals are:
1. AFC Ajax
2. FC Porto
3. FC Barcelona
4. Liverpool FC
5. Juventus FC
6. Manchester City
7. Manchester United
8. Tottenham Hotspur

UCL quarter-finals
The quarter-finals draw of the UEFA Champions League in full

The draw for the semi-finals is:
Semi-final 1: Winner of Tottenham vs Manchester City VS Winner of Ajax vs Juventus
Semi-final 2: Winner of Barcelona vs Manchester United VS Winner of Liverpool vs Porto

Final: The winner of the semi-final 1 will be the designated home team in the final and it will be played in the Wanda Metropolitiano, Altetico Madrid’s stadium in Madrid, Spain.

Let’s have a look at each of the quarter-finals and the teams’ journey to the quarter-finals and their possibility of going through to the semi-finals:

AFC Ajax vs Juventus FC

Ajax have staged the most shocking comeback of this season. They knocked out Real Madrid in the Round of 16. Real Madrid had beaten them 2-1 in their home ground and were the clear favourites to progress to the quarter-finals. But the young yet inspired Ajax side beat Solari’s men 4-1 in the Santiago Bernabeu. This defeat and elimination from the Champions League proved to be fatal for Solari and he has been replaced by Zidane as the head coach of Real Madrid on Tuesday.
There were stars everywhere in this Ajax team, with Frenkie de Jong controlling the midfield and Neres tying Dani Carvajal in knots. But Tadic was undoubtedly the star of the show. He looked a threat every time he got on the ball and the piece of skill that sold Casemiro and led to the second goal was simply breathtaking – as was his finish for the third.
Read more about Real Madrid’s suffering, here.

Cristiano Ronaldo led Juventus to an astonishing comeback against Atletico Madrid. Atletico Madrid had taken a 2-0 lead in the 1st leg in their home ground. For the records, they have never lost after being 2-0 up and also have never lost to an Italian side. But Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick to make the impossible happen and steer Juventus through to the quarter-finals. Read the full match report, here.

Our Prediction: Cristiano Ronaldo inspired Juventus will beat the young Ajax side, as experience does matter at this stage.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester City

Hugo Lloris kept Dortmund out in the first half with fine saves from Marco Reus, Julian Weigl and Mario Gotze, before Harry Kane’s second-half winner settled Tottenham as they beat Dortmund 1-0 on the night and 4-0 on aggregate in their Champions League last-16 second leg in Germany. The result means Spurs reach the Champions League quarter-finals for the first time since 2011.

Manchester City ran through the Schalke team. They cruised into the Champions League quarter-finals as an emphatic 7-0 second-leg victory over Schalke saw them progress 10-2 on aggregate and completed the biggest Champions League win in their history.

Our Prediction: It will be a hard fought match but Manchester City will eventually go through to the semi-finals.

Liverpool FC vs FC Porto

Liverpool are once again becoming an European force day-by-day. They reached the last season’s final and have already made their intentions clear for this season. They have beat the old and experienced Bayern Munich side 3-1 and proved that they are ready for European glory.

FC Porto have also scripted a comeback in the Round of 16. Trailing 2-1 from the 1st leg, Porto advanced to the quarter-finals of the Champions League in a dramatic fashion after beating Roma 3-1 in the second leg of their last-16 tie to advance 4-3 on aggregate. The powerful Porto striker, Moussa Marega produced a brilliant all-round display, hustling and harrying the Roma defence and chasing the ball around the pitch to help his team.

Our Prediction: Liverpool are clear favourites to beat Porto and advance to the semi-finals.

FC Barcelona vs Manchester United

Lionel Messi was the star man with two goals and two assists as Barcelona dismantled Lyon on Wednesday evening. They eased into the Champions League quarter-finals with a 5-1 win over Lyon (5-1 on aggregate). Barcelona have reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the 12th successive season, last failing to do so in the 2006-07 campaign.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s injury-plagued side – which featured youngsters Mason Greenwood and Tahith Chong in the closing stages – roared back in the most dramatic fashion to become the first side in Champions League history to win a tie after losing the first leg at home by two or more goals. PSG was leading the two match tie 2-0 after a sensational performance by Mbappe in the 1st leg. But Marcus Rashford’s VAR-awarded stoppage-time penalty helped Manchester United to make a stunning comeback. They went into the Champions League quarter-finals on away goals after a sensational 3-1 victory (3-3 on agg) stunned Paris Saint-Germain.

Our Prediction: It will be the match to watch for in the semi-finals. Two of the biggest clubs with so much history will face each other. But any team with Lionel Messi in it, is always a threat under any situation. Therefore, Barcelona will win the quarter-final if Messi is at his best.

Our prediction for the semi-finals draw:

Semi-final 1: Juventus FC vs Manchester City
Semi-final 2: FC Barcelona vs Liverpool FC

Rohit Sharma completes 8000 odi runs, joins Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni at the top.

During the 22nd over of the second innings of the fifth paytm odi trophy, Rohit went past the 8000-run mark in ODI cricket.

The Hitman was 46 runs away from the milestone before the start of this match.

Rohit is also the joint-third fastest batsman, alongside Sourav Ganguly, to reach 8000 ODI runs.

Indian opener Rohit Sharma has completed 8000 runs in ODIs for India during his team’s chase of Australia’s 272/9 in the decider match. Rohit achieved the feat during the fifth and final ODI against Australia at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in New Delhi.

With his 46th run in the 23rd over of the innings, Rohit reached the milestone. Rohit Sharma became the third-fastest to reach the milestone, in terms of matches played (206).

He become the ninth Indian cricket team player to reach 8000 runs after M.S. Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Ganguly and Mohammad Azharuddin.

The right-hander gathered a single off spinner Nathan Lyon to complete his 8000th odi run in ODIs. Rohit scored 56 of 89 balls before being stumped off Adam Zampa’s delivery. He has now 8010 runs in 206 ODIs with 22 centuries and 41 half-centuries.

Indian captain Virat Kohli leads the list as he needed just 183 outings to 8k ODI runs followed by Proteas legend AB de Villiers who got there in 190 matches.

Former captain Sourav Ganguly is tied with Sharma in terms of innings (200) but the Hitman edged out the Kolkata Prince by two matches on the list.

Rohit has also surpassed legends like MS Dhoni who took 214 innings and Sachin Tendulkar who took 210 innings to reach the milestone.

Fewest innings to 8000 ODI runs:

175 – Virat Kohli (INDIA)
182 – AB de Villiers (SOUTH AFRICA)
200 – Sourav Ganguly/ ROHIT SHARMA (INDIA)
203 – Ross Taylor (NEW ZEALAND)
210 – Sachin Tendulkar (INDIA)
211 – Brian Lara (WEST INDIES)
214 – MS Dhoni (INDIA)

Dhoni less India falters against Australia, defeated India by 35 runs, clinch series 3-2

MS Dhoni’s resting for the final two matches provided opportunities for others in India’s middle order, but they were far from taken.

Teams:

India:

  • Rohit Sharma
  • Shikhar Dhawan
  • Virat Kohli(c)
  • Rishabh Pant(wk)
  • Kedar Jadhav
  • Vijay Shankar
  • Ravindra Jadeja
  • Bhuvneshwar Kumar
  • Kuldeep Yadav
  • Mohammed Shami
  • Jasprit Bumrah

Australia:-

  • Usmn Khawaja
  • Aaron Finch(c)
  • Peter Handscomb
  • Marcus Stoinis
  • Glenn Maxwell
  • Aston Turner
  • Alex Carey(wk)
  • Jhye Richardson
  • Pat Cummins
  • Nathan Lyon
  • Adam Zampa

Australia won the five match odi series 3-2. Australia bowled out India for 237 runs, won by 35 runs.

Australia won the toss and choose to bat. They started well. In form Usman Khawaja scored his second century of the series to help Australia past 272/9.

India’s chase, and defeat from 2-0 up for the first time in history, opened more than a few questions for Kohli and the coach Ravi Shastri, not least team balance after only three specialist batsmen were selected. With Shikhar Dhawan and Kohli dismissed cheaply, Rohit Sharma seemed weighed down by the task before him, twice offering chances spurned off Zampa’s bowling before charging wildly to be well stumped by Alex Carey.

A decade ago Australia won an ODI series in India despite a surfeit of injuries. Numerous stronger sides have left empty handed since then, so it was with a great deal of satisfaction that Aaron Finch’s team sealed this victory from 0-2 down, the first time an Australian side had ever done so in 50-over matches, with a disciplined, determined and tactically astute defence of 272 in Delhi.

Being 0-2 down is something the Australians have become used to in more than one sense over the past year, missing the names of David Warner and Steven Smith from their team sheet as a result of the Newlands scandal.

India had not lost any ODI series at home since going down 3-2 to South Africa in October 2015. That result arrived only a matter of months after Australia won the previous World Cup so was not considered a major reverse. However this defeat, on the cusp of the IPL, has left India with precious little time to iron out an increasing number of wrinkles. By contrast the Australians can now look forward to a further five matches against Pakistan.

Cristiano Ronaldo produced another gem of a performance to steer Juventus into the UEFA Champions League quarter-final

Cristiano Ronaldo has scored his record-equalling 8th hat-trick in UEFA Champions League to turn the 2-0 1st leg deficit and win the tie by an aggregate score of 3-2 against Atletico Madrid.

Cristiano Ronaldo has led Juventus to a memorable Champions League comeback. Atletico Madrid has never lost a tie after going 2-0 up in the 1st leg and they have also not lost against any Italian side. But Cristiano Ronaldo made everything possible with his record equalling 8th hat-trick in the UEFA Champions League.

The VAR denied Juventus an early 4 minute lead. But in the 27th minute, Jon Oblak couldn’t save that powerful header from Cristiano Ronaldo. That goal gave hope to the whole of Turin and their was no looking back after that.

Then few minutes into the second half Ronaldo headed another powerful header into the Atletico Madrid’s net from Joao Cancelo’s cross. This time Oblak got a hand, but it was too late. The referee awarded that as a goal by the virtue of the goal line technology.

Another player who stood out for Juventus in the match other than Ronaldo was Federico Bernardeschi. Federico Bernardeschi’s inswinging cross from the left wing found Ronaldo towering above Juanfran for the opener. And when Bernardeschi’s solo run was illegally halted by substitute Angel Correa, Ronaldo completed his record-equalling 8th Champions League hat-trick from the penalty spot to down Atletico Madrid yet again.

Cristiano Ronaldo told Sky Sports Italia after knocking Atletico Madrid out for the fifth time: “This is why Juve brought me in, to help on magic nights like this. Atleti are a really tough team to face, but we are strong too and proved we deserved to go through. It’s too early to talk about the final, let’s take it one step at a time.
It had to be a special night and it was. Not just for the goals, but for the team and their incredible attitude. This is the mentality you need in the Champions League and we are on the right track.”

Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone got too excited after his side’s 1st leg 2-0 win and went a long way with his celebration. The Argentine tactician escaped a touchline ban for his controversial ‘cojones’ celebration, but Uefa did hit him with a €20,000 fine and forced him to apologise.
But in the 2nd leg Simeone got the harshest punishment. Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick and celebrated his winning goal in the same style.

The Argentina legend Maradona is also amazed by Ronaldo’s remarkable feat. “There are players who have been touched by a magic wand,” he said, as quoted by Marca. “The truth is we Argentines are proud that Messi is Argentinian and that he didn’t go off with the Spanish [at international level]. The other one is an animal. Ronaldo is pure power, and now he’s also a wizard. He said he’d score three goals and he scored three goals.”

Atletico Madrid – losing finalists in 2014 and 2016 to Cristiano Ronaldo’s Real Madrid – struggled throughout and Griezmann lamented the side’s performance away from home. “We didn’t play the game we wanted to, it was a bad night and we made it easier for Juventus.” Griezmann told Sky Sport Italia. “We are all disappointed, as we just didn’t play. I’m the first to say I didn’t do enough, our tempo was wrong and Juventus were superior on every level.
Considering we won the first leg 2-0, we can’t say much. I don’t know what happened, it reminded me a little of the Bayern Munich game, but that time we were able to make some adjustments. Tonight, Juve were superior on all levels.
Ronaldo is a great player: he had three chances and scored three goals.”

Atletico Madrid captain Diego Godin added: “We weren’t able to find ways to attack them. They were able to score and we couldn’t score the goal that we needed to qualify. We will continue giving it our all until the end of the season.”

Matuidi hailed his team-mate after Juve’s incredible victory in Turin, where Ronaldo’s 86th-minute penalty sealed the win. “It was an extraordinary night for everyone – a special night from the first minute,” he said, via the club’s website. “We are very happy, and now we are moving ahead with our work. We want to continue to grow in order to progress further in the Champions League. We have a strong team, and Cristiano is the best player in the world.”

Bonucci said to Sky Sport Italia: “This is a great night for the Juventus fans. Many things were said, both after that game [the first leg] and over the last few days, but Juve always respond on the pitch. We had four chances and put three of them in. They did the same in the first leg, having two chances and scoring both. We put our cojones into this match. Atleti were missing players, but so were we, and Leonardo Spinazzola put in a great performance in an incredible atmosphere.
Everything that was said hit us on a human level and that brought more out of us. Our tactical approach was to push down the flanks with Spinazzola and [Joao] Cancelo, keeping their full-backs deep. We have a great coach who is leading us into the quarter-finals. We know this is football, people can’t wait for you to make a mistake, but the coach and team are big enough to shrug that off. It wasn’t easy, but we completed the comeback. It’s a boost of adrenaline that will push us on to [final date] June 1.”

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri has also hailed Cristiano Ronaldo. He told in the news conference: “It’s impossible to think Cristiano with only one goal scored in this Champions League. He scored because he played well in the box and his team-mates worked well in the gameplay. A great match with an outstanding crowd supporting us and the players gave all Italian football fans a real show. That’s the most important thing.”
