Ed Woodward is the highest-paid director in Premier League last season

Manchester United chief, Ed Woodward is the highest-paid director in Premier League last season. According to a report by The Times, the Old Trafford chief earned £3.09million in 2019-20. Tottenham Hotspurs chief Daniel Levy took the second position after leading the chart in 2018-19 captain.

In the 2018-19 season, Tottenham Hotspurs chief Daniel Levy made £7m, including a £3m bonus in connection to the Tottenham Hotspur £1bn new stadium development. But in last season it dropped down to £2.96m. Levy took a 20% pay cut to help the fund of the club during the coronavirus pandemic. It also affected the standings as well.

Manchester United has paid a total of £6.8m to Woodward and other board members, though the revenue dropped from £627m to £509m in the pandemic affected season. This was the club’s lowest revenue since 2015.

Crystal Palace owner is in the 3rd position with a salary of £2.6million followed by Chelsea and Liverpool who were paid less the £2million.

Interestingly, Brighton, Fulham, West Ham, and Everton all paid more than Arsenal. The North London club has paid only £846K. Leicester City and Newcastle United are the lowest paying club in the Premier League. They paid just £250K.

A large section of United fans wants Ed Woodward to resign as soon as possible because of their bad transfer policies and other so many reasons. This fact will surely generate a mixed impact among the United fans.

Report says PUBG 2 is in development for Mobile and PC/Console

0

Is the sequel of PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds really under development? In the gaming world, we all know what PUBG has brought and it still carries a solid user base. But, after the games like Apex Legends, Valorant, and Call of Duty: Warzone came into the competition, the shine of PUBG faded out a little bit. So, a full sequel might be a good idea to make PUBG alive once again.

As per the reports of MTN, a Korean media outlet, an “authentic sequel” to PUBG is already under development. English translation of the story doesn’t exist but Google helped to discover some interesting points. From May 2019, Krafton (PUBG Corp.’s new name) started to staffing up their head Seoul offices for the PUBG 2. Meanwhile, the developer team of PUBG PC Lite has started work for the new PUBG Mobile 2.

PlayerIGN, the PUBG data miner twitted a screengrab of Krafton, which suggests that the sequel of PUBG is in the works.

Brendan Greene, the lead director and designer of PUBG doesn’t want to be involved in PUBG 2 by saying publicly in the past that he has no desire to make a PUBG sequel. Greene is working now at the newly established PUBG Amsterdam studio on a new IP.

So, for now, take all this information with a pinch of salt. We can expect some confirmation in the near future. There are some hints from MTN for a reveal of new games in early 2021.

This season despite the COVID-19 barriers, the tournament is going on a great deal, with more improved infrastructure. The Indian players took some time come to the track but the foreigners were on fire. However, some overseas players flopped to have a good season in the ISL 2020-21.

Let’s have a glance at those Five players, who failed to come up with good performance till now-

5. Kristian Opseth (Bengaluru FC)

Source- ISL

Bengaluru Fc coach Carles Cuadrat since the last season is dealing with the front goal line problem, he went on signing the bests overseas to manage that problem. Opseth who can both play the role of attacking midfielder and central striker along with Deshorn was also retained for this season. However half of the season is already over but Opseth and also Deshorn both are still goal-less with not a very great performance. It’s a matter of some more time to see how the Norwegian performs.

4. Gary Hooper (Kerala Blasters FC)

Gary Hooper - Player profile 20/21 | Transfermarkt

Gary Hooper, who was signed by Kerala Blasters FC is one of the most expensive strikers in the ISL this season, who has played in competitions in Europe and Australia. However, his debut has not been that great as the former Celtic player has only managed to score two goals in nine matches. This poor performance of Hooper has led him back to the bench replacing Australian Jordan Murray.

3. Marcelinho (Odisha FC)

ISL's all-time 3rd highest goalscorer Marcelinho roped in by Odisha FC

Marcelinho, who is considered as one of the best of the ISL, has been one of the biggest disappointments this season as the Brazilian goal-scoring machine with even great records of being the top goalscorers in the previous seasons is without a goal this season and did not make many appearances too with most of the time spending on the bench engulfed in injury.

2. Fatkhullo Fatkhuloev (Chennaiyin FC)

Fatkhullo, The Tajikistan captain, was signed by Chennaiyin FC with high expectations to manage the winger but came out mostly as a disappointment till the half of the season even though Chennaiyin FC were defensively good this season but are at the eighth position currently. Fathkuloev was even handed the captain’s armband by Csaba Laszlo prior to the start of the season but things didn’t work accordingly.

Jadon Sancho had an agreement in place with Manchester United regarding the summer transfer

0

Jadon Sancho had an agreement to join Manchester United this past summer, as confirmed by Fabrizio Romano and Francesco Porzio on their Here We Go podcast on Patreon. The Premier League club had multiple bids rejected in 2020, as they failed to reach Dortmund’s €100+ million evaluation of the English wonderkid.

Speaking on the topic recently, Dortmund CEO Joachim Watzke said:

“Maybe Jadon had subconsciously prepared a little for a transfer. I believe he at least thought about it enough that he lost a bit of his ease. But for weeks now, I have found him to be trying very hard. I think he needs two, three successful games in a row, then things will quickly start looking up again. He still is one of the greatest talents there is.”

Sancho only recently opened his scoring account in the Bundesliga this season after finding the back of the net against Wolfsburg. The youngster has been struggling since the beginning of the campaign, appearing to be a shadow of his former self, that managed to provide double digits in terms of goals and assists at the end of the campaign.

Sancho Jadon Sancho had an agreement in place with Manchester United regarding the summer transfer

At 20, Sancho still has a long way to go, and he has all the tools to make it to the very top. All he has to do right now is get back to his best. No clubs will be going in for the player right now, in the January transfer window.

But when the season ends and the summer transfer window is open for business, the race for the winger will be on, with many top clubs across the continent wanting to sign the winger.

Manchester United transfer news: Rojo out, Caicedo on hold, Diallo in

Manchester United are keen to get rid of the fringe players on their payroll, much like the rest of the Premier League clubs owing to the difficult financial situation right now. Marcos Rojo is one of the names that could be on the move very soon.

The player has agreed a verbal deal with Argentinian club Boca Juniors that would see him return to his homeland, according to the Daily Mail. However, in continuum with the words of Fabrizio Romano and Francesco Porzio on the Here We Go podcast on Patreon, Boca have not yet submitted an official bid for Rojo.

The Argentinian club are not willing to pay a transfer fee for the defender, and either one of two conclusions has to happen. The first involves the club terminating Rojo’s contract early so that he can leave for his homeland. Whereas the other involves the Argentinian sitting on the bench, and on United’s payroll for another six months, before his contract expires in June, and he leaves as a free agent.

Elsewhere, Moises Caicedo is still on Manchester United’s radar. The club have the option of signing him, but are currently not in advanced negotiations with anybody for the teeanger.

Moreover, the Red Devils have successfully completed the signing of Amad Diallo from Atalanta, as announced by them on their official social media accounts, as well as their website. Diallo becomes the first player to be signed under the post Brexit rules of England.

Multiple NBA teams decide to take a knee before Wednesday’s games

On Tuesday, it was announced that the Kenosha police officer that shot Jacob Blake will not be facing any criminal charges. On Wednesday, hours after a violent mob of Donald Trump supporters was able to storm the US Capitol in an attempt to contend the results of the country’s presidential election, the NBA and the wider sports World showed disappointment.

Despite the uncertainty in the USA’s capital, the NBA chose to proceed with its scheduled games on Wednesday. Players taking the court made a statement with several teams taking a knee prior to the beginning of the games.

During the anthem, the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics were two of those teams that elected to take a knee. Almost every player on either team got down on one knee to express their support for the Black Lives Matter movement.

Additionally, the two teams put out a joint statement before the game, which explained why they were willing to play on Wednesday. It read:

“2021 is a new year, but some things have not changed,” it read. “We play tonight’s game with a heavy heart after yesterday’s decision in Kenosha, and knowing that protesters in our nation’s capital are treated differently by political leaders depending on what side of certain issues are on. The drastic difference between the way protestors this past spring and summer were treated and the encouragement given to today’s protestors who acted illegally just shows how much more work we have to do.

“We have decided to play tonight’s game to try to bring joy into people’s lives. But we must not forget the injustices in our society and we will continue to use our voices and our platform to highlight these issues and do everything we can to work for a more equal & just America.”

In Milwaukee, the Bucks and the Detroit Pistons both took turnovers on their first possessions – on purpose, with all 10 players on the court kneeling. In Phoenix, the Suns and Toronto Raptors stood in a circle and linked arms for the American and Canadian national anthems.

Later in the night, the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Clippers also decided to take a knee prior to tip-off, as the national anthem played at the Chase Center. Additionally, the Warriors also donned Black Lives Matter t-shirts during the pregame warmups.

We all know AMD will be launching its upcoming Ryzen 5000H gaming processors for laptops and NVIDIA will announce its RTX 30-series mobile GPUs at CES 2021. Also, the leaks and rumors have confirmed that all of the upcoming high-end gaming laptops will sport these new processors and graphics.

Needless to say, this Ryzen 5000H + RTX 30-series will be amazing and the OpenCL benchmarks also say so. Upcoming Asus ROG Strix gaming laptops have been spotted by @TUM_APISAK with same processors and graphics. As we see in the benchmarks, AMD Ryzen 7 5800H was paired with Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 while the Ryzen 9 5900HX with GeForce RTX 3080:

The RTX 3080 mobile GPU posts an amazing 133543 points thanks to the full-fat GA104 GPU featuring 6144 CUDA cores and 48 CUs.

While the RTX 3070 mobile GPU, on the other hand, also posts a handsome 112448 points, thanks to its 40 CUs, 5120 CUDA cores, 8GB GDDR6 memory with a 256-bit bus.

When we compare these score with the OpenCL benchmark chart, the upcoming RTX 3080 mobile GPU is faster than the last-gen RTX 2080 desktop GPU while the RTX 3080 is faster or should give almost the same performance as that of the RTX 3070 desktop GPU. Still, this is impressive considering that these GPUs will draw low power and can’t wait to see them in action in a few days!
