Checking Aadhaar Pan link status: The Income Tax Department has made it essential for all taxpayers in India to link their PAN with their Aadhaar Card. If a taxpayer fails to meet the deadline, they must pay the penalty fines.
The deadline for connecting your PAN card to your Aadhaar card was June 30, 2023. The deadline was not extended further by the administration. If your PAN is not connected to your Aadhaar, it would be rendered ineffective. Follow the steps below to see if you have previously linked your PAN card to an Aadhaar card to verify the status of your PAN Aadhaar link.
Checking Aadhaar Pan link status, follow these steps
Begin by accessing the Income Tax e-filing portal via this link: https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal/
On the left-hand side of the page, locate and select ‘Quick Links’, then proceed to ‘Link Aadhaar Status’.
Input both your 10-digit PAN number and 12-digit Aadhaar number.
Subsequently, click on ‘View Link Aadhaar Status’.
If your Aadhaar number has already been successfully linked, it will be displayed. In case the linking hasn’t occurred, you must take the necessary steps to link them. If your request for PAN-Aadhaar linkage is awaiting validation by UIDAI, you will need to check the status at a later time.
