Samsung announces the new Exynos 980 SoC with 5G which supports up to 108MP camera
World’s leading smartphone manufacturer Samsung on Wednesday launched its latest mobile processor – the Exynos 980 with an integrated 5G modem. This modern chip promises to provide intelligent processing performance.
This 5G enabled chip reduces power consumption but also increase the space efficiency within a device. The 5G modem here supports 5G to 2G networks, providing a fast gigabit download speed in 4G LTE. It provides up to 2.55-gigabits per seconds (Gbps) speed in sub-6-gigahertz (GHz) 5G network.

The South Korean giant has made the Exynos 980 SoC using 2 high-performance Cortex-A77 CPU cores and 6 efficient Cortex-A55 cores. With a total of 8 cores, the Exynos 980 can deliver a fast and complex computing power required in the 5G era.
On the GPU front, the Exynos 980 SoC uses a Mali G76 GPU and features an integrated NPU (Neural Processing Unit) for advanced AI capabilities.
The Exynos 980 delivers amazing camera performances with resolution support for up to 108-megapixels along with encoding and decoding of 4K UHD video at 120 fps and HDR10+.
The advanced image signal processor (ISP) supports up to five individual sensors and is able to process three concurrently for richer multi-camera experiences. Samsung is expected to begin mass production of Exynos 980 SoC by the end of this year.
Realme has impressed the world with its amazing smartphones at cheap prices. In a short span of 1.5 years, they have managed to launch 14 smartphones along with few accessories like charging adapters, cables, and earphones as well.
Now having a good base of customers in India and in South Asian countries, Realme is turning its attention to mobile accessories. In China, Realme launched the Realme Q which is the rebranded Realme 5 Pro along with its first power bank.
Realme has launched a 10,000mAh power bank at the launch event in China. The power bank looks good and has a curvaceous design with splashing colours of yellow, red and grey. The company says that its power bank gives an in-hand feel like a 6.3-inch smartphone.
The best part is, this power bank is a fast-charging power bank with 1 USB-A and 1 USB Type-C port. Both these ports support two-way fast-charging up to 18W which is great honestly. The huge 10,000mAh battery is a standard one and the inclusion of USB-C port makes it even better.
Realme promises that it has packed 12-fold security protection to safeguard it against overcharging, overheating, and more. It will go on sale from September 12 in China, with a price tag of 99 yuan (around Rs.1,000).

An Android Enterprise listing revealed that the device will come with a 6.4-inch display Super AMOLED display, 4GB RAM and 64 or 128GB storage. Thanks to a Geekbench test we know the device will run on the Exynos 9610 chipset but other rumors suggest we might see the all-new Exynos 9611 instead.
The back will feature a triple camera setup with a 48MP main camera but we don’t have any info on the other two shooters at the moment. On the software front, we’ll see Android Pie with OneUI on top.

The names of the 55 finalists for the 2019 FIFA FIFPro Men’s World 11 have been officially confirmed.
FIFA released an official statement: “For the first time this year, FIFA and FIFPro will recognise the world’s outstanding ‘team’ in both the men’s and women’s game, meaning the FIFA FIFPro Men’s World11 will succeed the FIFA FIFPro World11 that was inaugurated in 2009. That year, FIFA and FIFPro joined forces to honour the best 11 players of the year, and it was presented for the first time at the 2009 FIFA World Player Gala.”
Premier League clubs boast the most number of players on the 55-man shortlist for the FIFA FIFPro World 11 for the first time in a decade. LaLiga has been displaced after nine successive years as the best-represented league. This time it has 20 players.
Meanwhile, Brazil is the most-represented nation. There are seven Brazil national team players included in the shortlist. Barcelona with 11 players and Real Madrid with 9 players lead the other clubs as the most-represented clubs.

“Project Hawkeye” launching with the name Realme XT.
Realme promised to launch the 64MP quad-camera smartphone in the month of September during the launch event of Realme 5 and 5 Pro. At that time we didn’t know the name of the smartphone, but recently the brand is posting about the “Project Hawkeye” where they mentioned that their upcoming 64MP quad-camera special smartphone will launch with the name Realme XT in the Indian market. This device will be launched on 13th September and will be exclusively available via Flipkart.
Realme XT sports a 6.4-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display, along with a waterdrop notch on the top. It also gets Corning Gorilla Glass on the front and back. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC and comes in three RAM and storage variants — 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, 6GB RAM with 64GB storage, and 8GB RAM with 128GB of storage. The phone also has a USB Type-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, a 4000mAh battery with 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging.
The primary camera is a 64-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. The other three cameras include an 8-megapixel wide-range camera; a 2-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth camera. In the front, the Realme XT uses a 16-megapixel camera for selfies.

Ever since AMD launched its Ryzen 3000 processors, it has seen a huge spike in CPU sales. The 7nm CPUs have become hot cakes in the market and it’s really hard to get one of them.
With increasing sales, we also have noticed some huge price hike like up to 10-15% hike in price but that has not bothered people from buying these CPUs. The impact has been most prominent in markets such as Germany, Japan, US, Canada, etc. Here the DIY segment contributes to the major portion of the total CPUs sold.
Intel’s sales have seen a drastic fall since the Ryzen 3000, now we do not have the exact number of sales for Q3 2019 but Mindfactory, one of the largest retailers in Germany has been sharing its sales stats with the Reddit community.
They have shown this with respect to the percentage of CPUs sold and the corresponding revenue generated. AMD’s steady rise in the past 24 months is not just limited to Germany but now it’s increasing around the globe.
It seems that last month, the sales of AMD just tripled leaving Intel with less than a quarter of the DIY market. Now here we can see the sales by Mindfactory of AMD CPUs for the last two months:
Here we see, AMD gaining a whopping 79% of total sales and Intel acquiring just a 21%, around 12% decrease compared to the month of June. Things did not change much for August as well, AMD with a meaty 78% of the number of CPUs sold.
The 1% decrease might be due to the fact of low stocks for Ryzen 7 and Ryzen 9 CPUs. Also in the revenue count, we see AMD gaining a huge 75% of revenue by failing Intel with a mammoth margin of 50% for the month of July.
Things remained pretty same for August with AMD just losing 3% much due to the fact of silicon shortage. This is much due to the 1% decrease in sales of higher-end products like Ryzen 9 3900X or Ryzen 7 3700X and Ryzen 7 3800X.
Things look very positive for AMD this time in Germany and we expect the same status in other countries as well. AMD has seen record sales, gaining chunks of revenue and Intel facing the lowest ever revenue percentage of below 30%.
Intel did really made huge revenue with its high priced i7 and i9 CPUs which favoured gamers the most. Now, with Zen 2 CPUs the IPC gains and multithreading performance, gamers are loving the power and efficiency of 7nm Ryzen CPUs.
Also with high-end CPUs like Ryzen 9 and Ryzen 7 with has lots of variation, AMD did really out throw Intel. We can expect this trend to grow even more because this month Ryzen 9 3950X will be available worldwide as well as the rumoured Ryzen 5 3500 can make its way for budget gamers.
The Ryzen 7 3700X and the Ryzen 5 3600 were the best sellers with the Ryzen 9 just shortly behind. The two of these CPUs are getting more revenue rather than Intel’s entire lineup combined. On the other hand, for the blue team the Core i9-9900K, the 9900KF and the 9700K are accounting for the sales.
The situation looks pretty bad for Intel not only in Germany but in other counties as well. The desktop range is suffering a huge blow due to Intel’s same old 14nm Skylake core processors that users are feeling hard to digest.
Though Intel is trying to convince its fanbase with its 10nm Ice Lake CPUs and the 14nm Comet Lake SKUs, in the desktop end they are really in trouble. Until and unless Intel brings 10nm to the desktop lineup or reduce the price of its CPU considerably, which they will not, Intel will surely be in this state for quite some time now.

Hot 8 packs the MediaTek Helio P22 SoC paired with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage which can be expanded via the microSD card slot. There’s also a 5,000mAh battery which charges over micro USB. On the software front, we have Infinitix’s XOS 5.0 on top of Android 9 Pie.
The Infinix Hot 8 is available in Midnight Black, Cosmic Purple, and Quetzal Cyan colors. The phone will go on sale starting September 12 through Flipkart. It will retail for INR 6,999 ($97) until October 30 while after that the price will go up to INR 7,999.

The Lenovo K10 Note moves up to a 6.3-inch FHD+ LCD display with a waterdrop cutout for the 16MP front-facing camera. It runs on the more powerful Snapdragon 710 SoC and also features a triple camera setup and fingerprint reader around the back.
The main camera is a 16MP F/1.8 sensor, the secondary shooter comes in at 8MP F/2.4 and is capable of 2x optical zoom, while the third unit is a 5MP F/2.2 snapper. Mauro Icardi has joined PSG in the transfer deadline day on a season-long loan.
Icardi’s troubled time at Inter has finally come to an end. He has now sealed a transfer deadline day deal to move to PSG on a season-long loan. For the loan move to happen, Icardi had to sign a one-year contract extension with Inter. The loan deal also has an option for PSG to buy the 26-year-old for €70million.
Mauro Icardi arrived at Inter from Sampdoria in the summer of 2013. He has scored 111 Serie A goals and 124 goals in all competitions to be eighth on the club’s all-time list. But due to some controversies, he was stripped of the Inter captaincy last season and has been told to surplus to requirements by new head coach Antonio Conte this season. So Icardi chose to continue his career elsewhere.
Icardi told PSG TV: “I’m very happy, delighted. It’s a major step in my career, and a great opportunity to join a top club like Paris Saint-Germain. I hope to live great things here. Being able to play alongside these very talented players is amazing. The decision was easy to make, I’ve come to Paris because I wanted to play with them. I know the Argentines obviously, and I know [Edinson] Cavani. And I have met Neymar Jr. I am proud to become their team-mate. I am a striker, I like to score goals. It’s going to be great to play upfront with the amazing attacking players that are in this squad.”
He further added: “It’s always special to play against rivals. This is what makes football so great. I have played against Juve, Milan, these are major games. I am looking forward to playing these games in France now. I never played at the Parc des Princes, it will be a first for me. I will be able to tell you what it’s like then!”
PSG are currently atop of the Ligue 1 table. Icardi will join the club after the international break and hope to bring his career back in track, away from all the controversies.
