AMD Ryzen 7 4800H surpasses Intel Core i7-9700K desktop CPU in Time Spy benchmark

In CES 2020 we saw the monstrous 8 core and 16 threaded mobile CPU by AMD and we expect a number of gaming laptops featuring the APU in the coming days.

But how does it perform in real life? To answer this, we have a leaked benchmark of this powerful APU against the desktop CPUs. If you think that the Ryzen 7 4800H performs badly against its desktop competitors then you are mistaken.

Tipster TUM_APISAK found a leaked Time Spy benchmark of the APU and we see it ripping through the Intel and it’s Ryzen brothers. If we recall the specs of this APU, it features a base clock of 2.9GHz and a boost of 4.2GHz along with 12MB cache.

We already saw the Ryzen 7 4800H scoring in the 19,000 range on 3DMark physics and now we see the APU scoring 8350 in the Time Spy CPU benchmark against the last year’s best 9th gen i7 desktop CPU who scores 8200 and this makes the APU even more interesting.

We also see that the 4800H beats the current best mid-range CPU i.e. the Ryzen 5 3600 as well as the Ryzen 5 3600X which is also based on the Zen 2 architecture but has 6 cores and 12 threads. It seems that even though we see 8 Zen 2 cores in a laptop front with timid 45W TDP, it is taking on high-end desktop CPUs as well.

It is just inches apart from the 8 core Ryzen 7 2700X who scores 8600 points and trails behind the superior Ryzen 7 3700X desktop CPU. We know 2019 was the year for AMD in the desktop CPU market and in 2020 we expect the laptop market which is heavily dominated by Intel CPUs to eventually favour team Red slowly and steadily.

Zidane has been earmarked as the next France manager

Zinedine Zidane, the player doesn’t need an introduction. He is one of the greatest midfielders. The midfield maestro has won almost everything in his playing days from the World Cup to Champions League.

He started his managerial career with the Real Castilla team and then burst onto the scene in 2016 as Real Madrid’s manager. He won the Champions League in his debut season and has gone on to win a hat-trick of Champions League. Zidane has quickly become one of the best managers right now.

FFF president Noel Le Graet has revealed France will target Zinedine Zidane to replace Didier Deschamps when the World Cup-winning coach departs.

Deschamps and Zidane won the 1998 World Cup together as players. Since then both of them have reached new heights. Deschamps led his country to another World Cup win two years ago in Russia, while Zidane guided Real Madrid to Champions League history.

Le Graet said: “The day Didier decides to leave or his contract is not renewed, if Zidane is available at that time, he will be the man for the job.
There is Qatar. Didier will be there and then, maybe afterwards, I don’t know.”

That opportunity could come as soon as 2022, as Deschamps’ position beyond the Qatar World Cup is uncertain. But it remains to be seen whether Zidane will leave Real Madrid so soon after he has put so much effort in rebuilding the squad in his second stint with the club.

World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe is currently the next biggest thing in world football. The PSG star has won almost everything in France. The only trophy missing in his cabinet is the Champions League trophy.

Mbappe first burst onto the scene in 2016 with Monaco. He won the Ligue 1 title and moved on to PSG, where he has won many trophies to date. PSG are looking to win the Champions League this season and hopes are high on Mbappe and Neymar to deliver the trophy.

Mbappe told La Gazzetta dello Sport: “It’s too late for me to carve out a career like Messi’s, I would have had to stay at Monaco. Without taking anything away from Messi, now I have to draw on Cristiano’s career for inspiration.”

“If you’re French, obviously you would have grown up with [Zinedine] Zidane as your idol. After that, it was Cristiano, who I have been fortunate enough to have faced as an opponent, at club level and with the national team.”

“I also love Brazilian players like Pele, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo and Kaka. And to the young players who look up to me, I’d like to send them a message from someone who believed in their dream, always giving the best they had to give, trying to push their own limits to be able to make a mark in sport.”

Mbappe also believes Ronaldo gives Juventus an edge in the Champions League. Ronaldo has won the competition five times and single-handedly makes the Serie A giants a favourite. He said: “Juventus are a strong side – they’ve shown that in the finals they’ve played during the past few seasons. They have always lacked something to give them the edge and now they have that in Cristiano. He’s a player who makes you win major trophies.”

“This year Juventus are among the favourites – along with the usual suspects – Real Madrid, Barcelona and Liverpool.”

Mbappe has been in fine form this season despite few minor injuries. He has scored 21 goals in all competitions for PSG this term.

Florentino Perez and Zinedine Zidane have openly expressed their wishes of bringing the Frenchman to the Bernabeu. Mbappe’s contract at PSG runs until 2022 and the striker has put the contract extension talks on hold as he seems to wait for a switch to Spain.

It seems unlikely that he will leave the Parc des Princes this summer but in 2021 he will only have a year left on his deal. Hazard was in a similar situation when he joined Real Madrid in 2019, with a year left on his Chelsea contract. Mbappe is following the Eden Hazard roadmap to the Bernabeu.

The 21-year old joining Real Madrid is a matter of when and not if. He has been given hints over the past few months about his wish to play for Real Madrid. So it won’t be long before we see Mbappe in the famous white colour of Madrid.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip to feature Snapdragon 855+, dual 12MP cameras and a 1-inch external screen

A few days ago we came to know about the name of the new folding device of Samsung. The name that the internet is flashing right now is Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and is is the successor of the Samsung Fold. This folding device is going to come with Snapdragon 855+ and an external 1-inch display. In the previous model, the Samsung Fold has a 4.6-inch external screen, which gets activated when the device is folded. This time the Galaxy Z Flip is rumored to have a 12MP dual-rear camera and a single front selfie camera mounted at the top-middle of the display as a punch-hole design.

Starting with the display, we are getting a Dynamic AMOLED panel covered with Ultra Thing Glass (UTG) and it will apparently feature a crease at the folding point. This is to be expected with foldable devices but the UTG solution should be far more durable than the Galaxy Fold’s plastic. The phone will also come with a side-mounted capacitive fingerprint scanner. Weinbach also shares the device will run on the Snapdragon 855+ chipset instead of the previously rumored Snapdragon 855.

Another key detail is the outward notification screen which should be a 1-inch panel. This screen will show charging speeds, battery info, time, date and will also serve as a camera viewfinder. The Z Flip will come with two 12MP shooters on the back which are revealed to be regular (wide) and ultrawide modules. Wired charging speeds are confirmed at 15W, there’s also wireless and reverse wireless capabilities but we don’t get info on their charging speeds.

Vivo iQOO phones to launch in India next month, 5G will be included in one

Vivo has decided to expand its business with its brand iQOO in the Indian market. In an interview with The Mobile Indian, the marketing director of iQOO India revealed that we will see two phones of the brand next month or by the second week of February. According to reports, both the smartphones will be the same in design but one of them will have 5G connectivity and this might be the first 5G enabled smartphone to launch in the Indian market.

Reports suggest that iQOO is going to launch a normal and a pro version of their new device to be launched in India. We didn’t hear anything about the 4G device, but we are assuming it could be the same Snapdragon 865-powered smartphone, but without the crucial Snapdragon X55 modem that enables the 5G connectivity. There’s also the possibility it might arrive with Snapdragon 720G – the new chipset that was recently introduced specifically for the needs of the Indian smartphone market.

Inter are having a busy January transfer window. They have earlier signed Manchester United veteran Ashley Young. Young became the 3rd United player to join Inter since last season. He has now been reunited with his former Manchester United teammates Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku.

The versatile wing-back has made his move from Manchester United to Inter for a reported €1.5m fee. He has signed a six-month deal with the option for a further year.

Now, Antonio Conte has signed one of his former players. Inter sign Victor Moses from Chelsea on a loan deal with an option to buy. Moses has spent the 1st half of the season with Fenerbahce in the Turkish Super Lig on loan.

Moses was a key player under Antonio Conte when Chelsea last won the Premier League title in 2016-17. He joins Inter for a reported fee of €10million. He is now again reunited with his old boss at San Siro as Conte looks to win their first Scudetto since 2010. Inter currently lie second in Serie A behind champions Juventus.

According to a report from Sky Italia, Serie A side Inter now expect to complete the signing of Danish international attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen from Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window.

The Christian Eriksen transfer saga could end as soon as Monday. As things seem to stand right now, the midfielder’s move to Inter is all but complete and a medical has been scheduled.

CalcioMercato claims Tottenham owner Daniel Levy has accepted an offer from Inter worth €15million (£12.6m), plus €5m (£4.2m) in add-ons. Eriksen’s provisional four and a half year contract with Inter will see him earn £260,000 a week. He is expected to travel to Milan for a medical in the next few days.

Antonio Conte is building a team that has all the qualities needed to dethrone Juventus from the top of Serie A. Cristiano Ronaldo’s Juventus will face tough competition from Inter in their bid to retain the Serie A title this season.

The biggest upset from the last round of Copa Del Rey was Atletico Madrid’s shock defeat at the hands of third-tier side Cultural Leonesa. Sergio Benito’s 108th-minute extra-time strike secured a famous 2-1 win for minnows Cultural Leonesa.

Atletico Madrid have now lost their last three matches in all competitions. They have won just 6 matches in 17 in LaLiga games since early September.

Diego Simeone told reporters: “I have the desire to work like every day since I arrived. The penalties or the extra time in the Champions League didn’t change me, nor will going out in this round. I have an important squad and results will come soon.”

Real Madrid will this time visit Real Zaragoza, who are 4th in LaLiga 2. While Barcelona have been drawn against LaLiga side Leganes but they have the benefit of a home fixture as they bid to reach the quarter-finals.

Virat Kohli-led Indian cricket team will go up against Kane Williamson-led New-Zealand in its next assignment in the five T20Is, three ODIs and two Test starting January 24.

As Shikhar Dhawan is ruled out due to left shoulder injury, India picked Sanju Samson for the five T20I matches and Prithvi Shaw for the three ODI matches.

India have not won a T20I series against the Kiwis in New Zealand. Out of 12 T20I matches played in New-Zealand, India have won only three games.

According to head coach Ravi Shastri winning a World title is an “obsession” for his side and the upcoming ODIs against New Zealand could be used as a platform for his team’s preparations for the global T20 championship in Australia this October.
