Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici has claimed that Cristiano Ronaldo instigated his transfer from Real Madrid to the Serie A club.

Cristiano Ronaldo offered himself to Juventus during the Serie A club’s talks over Joao Cancelo, another of Jorge Mendes’ clients, according to the Bianconeri’s sporting director Fabio Paratici.

Ronaldo moved to Juventus in the close season for a fee of €112million, ending a nine-year stint at Real Madrid. His agent Mendes said on Saturday that the move was “borne of himself”. And Paratici also suggested that Ronaldo was the instigating party in the transfer.

“When we met with Mendes to discuss Cancelo, that is where the whole thing began,” Paratici told Sky Sport Italia. “Mendes said to me: ‘You won’t believe this, but Cristiano wants to come to Juve.’ I replied that I believed it, but it seemed difficult to make everything come together and work.”

Ronaldo has hit his stride in Turin, and has scored 12 times in all competitions to help Juve move clear at the top of Serie A and progress in the Champions League. But Paratici added that bringing in the Portugal star never seemed a likely option.

“The greatest players help kids to dream. My son wanted Cristiano Ronaldo’s jersey, so when I went to see a Portugal game, I bought it and he wore it all the time. Every year he’d ask me: ‘Daddy, why don’t we buy Cristiano Ronaldo?’ Because it’s impossible. Then when it happened, he said: ‘Daddy, you told me it was impossible!’ I had no answer.”

The shot stopper said it would be impossible to take the Portuguese’s spot following his exit, but called on others to step up

Thibaut Courtois believes Cristiano Ronaldo is “irreplaceable”, but he challenged his Real Madrid team-mates to score the goals the star forward used to.

Ronaldo, 33, left Real Madrid for Juventus in July, following a long and illustrious career with the Los Blancos. His departure coincided with the exit of manager Zinedine Zidane.

The LaLiga giants struggled to cope without the duo initially, but they have improved under Santiago Solari. Solari secured his first trophy at the helm with a 4-1 win over Al Ain in the Club World Cup final on Saturday.

Speaking to reporters, Courtois, who joined ahead of the campaign from Premier League giants Chelsea, stated that he believes it is up to the other key forwards to carry the goal scoring burden going forward. Madrid needed to step up to replace the goals Ronaldo scored, with Karim Benzema (11) and Gareth Bale (10) leading the way so far.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is irreplaceable, you cannot forget what he did.” Courtois told reporters. “But he is not here anymore, so it’s time for other players, like Bale did in the semi-finals [of the Club World Cup], to score the goals he [Ronaldo] used to score. If we are able to do so, it’ll be fine.”

Madrid’s victory over Al Ain assured them a third successive Club World Cup title in a row and means that the trophy will return to Spain for the fifth time in a row. The Los Blancos previously defeated Japan’s Kashima Antlers in 2016 and Brazil’s Gremio in 2017, following their respective Champions League triumphs. They also claimed the crown in 2014, against Argentina’s San Lorenzo, while rivals Barcelona prevailed victoriously in 2015 against River Plate.

Solari’s side sit fourth in La Liga, eight points behind the Catalan club, though they do have a game in hand. They do not play again until 2019 though, when they make the trip to Villarreal on January 3.

Former striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer becomes the new interim manager of Manchester United

Jose Mourinho’s two-and-a-half-year tenure as United manager came to an end on Tuesday.

The limp 3-1 defeat to Premier League leaders Liverpool provided the final straw for Ed Woodward and the club’s hierarchy. But the Portuguese has already been linked with a return to Real Madrid

The former Red Devils forward has taken charge as interim boss until the end of the season following the departure of Jose Mourinho this week. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants Manchester United to “play without fear” but warned his players that they must embrace a team-first mentality.

Solskjaer, who became something of a famous ‘super sub’ during his successful playing career at Old Trafford, has made it clear that all his squad will get a chance to impress during the busy Christmas schedule and wants them to approach every match with the sort of mentality that became common in Alex Ferguson’s time at the club.

Solskjaer spent 11 years playing under Ferguson, winning six Premier League titles, two FA Cups and the 1999 Champions League final, in which he scored the winning goal to complete a famous treble.

“I get my managerial style from him [Ferguson],” Solskjaer told MUTV. “He’s been the biggest influence, but I’m a different personality. I’ve got to be myself. I like people, speak to people, engage with people, see them express themselves, wherever they work. We just want to see everyone express themselves. That makes me happy.”

“The boss [Ferguson] is and always will be the best with how you can manage people. A lot revolves around him. He’s influenced me with everything,” he said. “The way he dealt with people, the way he was the manager of the club, how he kept 25 international players happy and hungry, wanting to improve, but also the staff in and around the place.

“He’s been my mentor. I didn’t understand early on that he’d been my mentor. Ever since my injury in 2003 at least, I was making all the notes on what he did in certain situations. I’ve already been in touch with him because there’s no one better to get advice from.”

Solskjaer is preparing his side to face Cardiff City on Saturday, a match that Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez appear likely to miss due to injury problems.

With the gap to the top four standing at 11 points, the former Norway international is unwilling to lay down any targets for the rest of the season. “First game, I think about getting my principles into the boys, get the players to understand how I want them to play and how we want to play as a team and let’s take the results later on,” he said. “This club has made up many, many points before but I’m not going to set that target.”

This laptop is basically is intended for those who need a solid end laptop to work and game even if they are tight on a budget. With Ryzen 3 2200U and Ryzen 5 2500U processors there are two variants of the laptop.
