Donald Trump may ban TikTok in the US and Microsoft could takeover its US operation

The President of the US Mr. Donald Trump already announced that he is going to ban TikTok in his country and informed reporters he could sign an exclusive order by next Saturday regarding this.

If you are wondering about the reason, it’s the same as India. The US security officials are suspecting the ByteDance own application to collect personal data of Americans.

Though the process and the time to impose the ban is still not clear. We have to wait for further announcements.

Trump also said, “We may be doing some other things. There are a couple of options. But a lot of things are happening, so we’ll see what happens. But we are looking at a lot alternatives with respect to TikTok,”

May be the alternative plan is coming from the technology giant Microsoft’s end, as it is in advance talks to takeover the US operations of TikTok.

The Wall Street Journal writes in its report, “A deal could be completed by Monday, according to people familiar with the matter, and the talks involve representatives from Microsoft, ByteDance, and the White House. Talks are fluid, and a deal may not come together,”

It seems we need not to wait too long to get the final result, lets see.

Is Thiago Alcantara heading for Liverpool?

Bayern Munich chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has confirmed that Thiago Alcantara has informed the club that he wants to leave Allianz Arena this summer. The Spanish international is looking to try something new.

Alcantara is a La Masia, Barcelona’s youth academy product. He played 4 years in LaLiga for the Blaugranas but when Pep Guardiola took over at Bayern Munich he signed Alcanata for Bayern. He has now spent 7 seasons at Bayern winning the Bundesliga in each of his seasons.

The 29-year-old wants to try something new at the end of his career so maybe he would like to play in the Premier League. Champions Liverpool seems to be his next destination. Liverpool would definitely benefit from the addition of such a quality playmaker in the middle of the park.

German football expert Rafa Honigstein told Sky Sports that Liverpool keeping quiet on this transfer rumour may turn out to be a transfer strategy for signing Alcantara.

Honigstein said: “There’s been no firm offer yet from anyone, but Bayern are bracing themselves for Liverpool because that’s the rumour in the dressing room. But we haven’t seen any offer yet and Liverpool have distanced themselves from making a move for Thiago. That could just be part of their strategy, but Bayern are more or less resigned to him leaving.”

thiago alcantara Is Thiago Alcantara heading for Liverpool?

Alcantara has been so good in the middle of the park for Bayern in all these years. He is considered as one of the best passers in Europe. All the Liverpool midfielders like Henderson, Keita and Wijnaldum are hardworking players but they lack quality on the ball which Alcantara has in plenty.

Honigstein further added: “In Germany, they are saying that if Liverpool buy Thiago, they’ll win every game next year! He’s just been so good. If there’s one player they’re missing in that midfield it’s that technical player. More of a creator and a dribbler… somebody who scores spectacular goals and can find a pass. It’s not a player that Liverpool have accommodated in recent years and it would change the dynamic of their midfield if you find space for him.”

“But in terms of real quality, technique and unique skills any club in the world should be in for him. If Liverpool get him in the summer when the traditional powerhouses on the continent can’t do it, the deal would be an absolute steal for the kind of money Bayern are talking about – Β£25m.”

Liverpool can sign Alcantara from Bayern Munich for a steal price. But Liverpool has a different transfer strategy unlike other top European clubs so they may also decide to wait one year and then try to sign him on a free transfer. But this move may prove to be a bit risky because many top European clubs want him and won’t hesitate to pay a good amount of money once the financial crisis of the football world is over.

Alcantara still has at least two-three years of his peak time left. He wants to experience new thing and Liverpool is on the rise. He would definitely want to sign for the Premier League winners. So Liverpool should not delay the transfer and sign him this summer.

Bayern Munich chief Rummenigge confirms Thiago Alcantara wants to leave the club

Spanish international, Thiago Alcantara has been in the transfer news for the last few months. The Bayern Munich midfielder has informed his club that he wants to leave Allianz Arena this summer.

Premier League champions Liverpool has been rumoured to be the next destination of the midfield maestro. They would definitely benefit from the addition of such a quality playmaker in the middle of the park. So this news will definitely excite all the Liverpool fans.

Bayern Munich chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told Sky Germany: “The talks Hasan (Salihamidzic) had with him have always been very productive. And at some point, it actually seemed that [a new contract] was done. But then Thiago told Hasan some time ago that he would like to try something new at the end of his career. We have to accept that.”

Rummenigge further added: “We have a contract with Thiago that is still valid for one year and if he reaches an agreement with any club then that club should pay a transfer fee of a certain amount.”

“No club has contacted us to date and wants to have concrete discussions with us. We will only start negotiating for their (Thiago and Alaba’s) sale from a certain amount. There will be no summer sales at FC Bayern.”

So it seems Liverpool will have to pay a good price in order to sign Alcantara from Bayern. They may also decide to wait one year and then try to sign him on a free transfer. But this move may prove to be a bit risky because Alcantara is not a player to be easily available on a free transfer.

Many top European clubs want him and won’t hesitate to pay a price for such a talented midfielder. So the best option for Liverpool is to sign Alcantara this summer. All the Liverpool midfielders like Henderson, Keita and Wijnaldum are hardworking players but they lack quality on the ball which Alcantara has in plenty.

Griezmann & Dembele back to training with the Barcelona squad

0

Finally, some good news at the Barcelona tent as two of their highly-rated Frenchmen return to group training this morning. Both Antoine Griezmann & Ousmane Dembele were with Quique Setien’s squad on Saturday returned to training after a day of rest on Friday with all the available players at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.

Hopefully, both of these attacking prospects will be available for next week’s challenge but most likely Griezmann is much more secure than Dembele, whom Setien will not risk playing at next week’s match if it’s not necessary. But it’s good to see both of them back with the group completing part of the training session.

Also, another Frenchmen ClΓ©ment Lenglet, who was also injured weeks ago, completed the entire session with the rest of the squad. Obviously, Lenglet will be an essential part of the team, who will face Napoli in a week at the Camp Nou, because both Samuel Umtiti and Ronald Araujo remains injured.

Also, BarΓ§a B goalkeeper IΓ±aki PeΓ±a was also present in the session as were his fellow B team membersΒ Mingueza, Reis, Jandro, Monchu, Konrad, Riqui Puig, and Ansu Fati. This will be a great opportunity for BarΓ§a B’s two exciting players Konrad de la Fuente and Monchu to be part of the Champions League preparation.

Liverpool FC partners with Nike to launch its new home kit for 2020-21 season

0

The current champions of Premier League has finally announced their new home kit for 2020-21 season and this time Nike will be their official jersey partner rather than New Balance.

Interestingly, Liverpool and Nike has a new tagline to promote their new home kit – #TellUsNever which obviously shows the journey how the Reds have finally won the Premier League after 30 years. Liverpool FC under Klopp has been phenomenal this season and last year they won the Champions League too, so bagging a great deal with Nike seems obvious.

If you have a closer look at the home jersey then you find a similarity if you go down the history lane, as Liverpool FC describes this jersey borrows theΒ traditional vibrant red shirt that features teal and white around its V-neck collar and sleeves – similar to the Reds’ home jerseys between 1993 and 1996.

The design seems simple and the red color is more appealing than before with Nike and Standard Chartered as their primary partners. The colors used – red, white, and teal – have been a traditional colorway used throughout LFC’s proud history and are related to the traditional crest of the club.

According to Liverpool FC, the teal also represents the city of Liverpool and is reminiscent of the shade of the Liver Bird that sits at the top of its famous Liver Building.

Scott Munson, VP, Nike Football Apparel, said: “At the start of any new partnership it is important to show maximum respect and we have done that by concentrating on the club’s core identity.

“What you have is a clean, strong design, which any fan would immediately know belongs to Liverpool.”

The fonts have been designed to embody characteristics of Anfield and the surrounding area, coming in white for the outfield players’ jersey. The new Liverpool FC 2020-21 home kit can pre-ordered right away from here while the club’s unique name and number style is again available for supporters this season.

Barcelona’s top defensive target is Eric Garcia, while Man City already makes alternative signing

After making a series of heavy transfers to the club and facing a lot of criticisms by the fans over the defense of Barcelona, finally, the Catalan giants seem to be more concerned with their defense this time. Their central defender options have fallen short, they have two best center backs in the form of Clement Lenglet and Gerard Pique, who is in the limelight of his career.

But, Umtiti never really likely to return to his glorious form before the 2018 World Cup injury and still he is not a feasible option at all for the long run. While Barca has loaned out Jean-Clair Todibo and their backup option Ronald Araujo also remains inured, so this time it seems Barca wants to bring another center back who can possibly replace Pique in future.

Barcelona's top defensive target is Eric Garcia, while Man City already makes alternative signing

For this, Barcelona has already identified their former player Eric Garcia as their ideal defensive transfer target and wants to land him this summer. According to Goal, Eric Garcia is their top defensive target, now is just 19-year old, a La Masia graduate, who left the club for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

His contract expires in 2021, and the Catalans want to bring Garcia back to Camp Nou while Guardiola wants to renew his contract at the club. The guy has been impressive after the lockdown, starting every game for Manchester City and has been preferred over John Stones and Nicolas Otamendi in important games against Liverpool, Arsenal.

Undoubtedly, he is a talented player who knows how to play the Barca kind of football which Pep follows at Manchester City. But, he is based out of Barcelona and Eric Garcia is an ideal player to bring in at such harsh times, but City wants to offer a new contract although as Goal points out, Garcia may consider his future at the club if Guardiola decides to leave the Premier League club.

Pep Guardiola wants Eric Garcia and is confident that Barcelona cannot snatch him

Previously, when Pep was asked about Garcia’s future at the club he said:

β€œWe have one more year – if they want him they must call Txiki (Begiristain, sporting director),” he said.

β€œWe’ll try to convince him to stay here for many years. I’m confident he will stay, but it’s his decision.”

Also, it’s been speculated that Manchester City on the verge of signing Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake for €45m, so maybe they have found out an alternative for the Spaniard already. Overall, if Eric Garcia comes to Barcelona, he will have years to develop and prove himself at the club.
