There have been numerous rumours surrounding Gareth Bale leaving Real Madrid in the last few transfer windows. Last summer, it was almost decided that Bale was signing for a Chinese club but the deal fell through at the last moment.
Bale has dropped down to the lowest level of the pecking order at Real Madrid. It clearly shows Zidane doesn’t trust the Welshman. It has been Bale’s fault as well. He lacks the motivation to play for Madrid and his body language is terrible. A player who wants to play for one of the biggest clubs should definitely have more dedication.
First, it came to the news that Zidane has omitted Bale from the 24-man squad travelling to play against Manchester City. Sergio Ramos, who can’t play as he received a red card in the first leg has been named in the squad instead. Zidane feels that he’ll get more out of an unavailable-for-selection Ramos than he will from a fully-fit Gareth Bale.
It seemed Bale was humiliated by this decision and has made up his mind not to play for Madrid again.
But now Zidane has dropped a bombshell. He told about Bale’s absence: “Many things are said. We have a relationship of respect between the coach and the player. The only thing I can say, and it’s a personal thing, is that he preferred not to play. The rest is something between me and him.”
Zidane was also asked to confirm that Bale didn’t travel due to a personal decision rather than a technical decision. He replied: “Yes”.
He was then asked if Bale has a future at Real Madrid. He commented: “Right now, he is a Real Madrid player and I respect that. I respect Gareth and all the players. What is said in the dressing room stays in the dressing room.”
But it’s surprising to hear Bale didn’t want to travel for a crucial Champions League match. It is a clear sign of disrespect to the club. If he has decided not to play for Real Madrid he should quickly find a new club because the Bernabeu fans aren’t going to tolerate such nuisances.
International Cricket Council (ICC) becomes the No 1 sports’ organization with the most video views on the social media platform, Facebook. This report has been found by CrowdTangle, a Facebook-owned analytics company for the public. It showed that ICC has the most video views among all the sports’ organization on Facebook in 2020.
According to a report by InsideSport, ICC’s Facebook page received more than double the engagement of other global sports’ organization.
ICC Chief Executive Manu Sawhney said: “The combination of one of the world’s most-watched sports with one of the world’s largest platforms is proving exciting for the growth of cricket consumption. These numbers are testimony to the fact that cricket truly has the power to connect and engage more deeply with diverse audiences around the world. We will continue to enhance these engagements and serve the global cricket fan with exciting content at the back of this partnership.”
ICC’s major highlights on Facebook:
A staggering 1.65 billion video views in the first half of 2020, ensuring the ICC channel topped the rankings in terms of video consumption among leading sporting organizations on Facebook.
Across the April-June lockdown period, overall interactions on the ICC page were more than two and a half times higher than other leading leagues and sports’ organizations across the world.
Over the previous 12 month period, the ICC Facebook page was the most engaged page in its category including the single most engaged day in its history with 4.4 million interactions as Bangladesh triumphed over India in the final of the Under 19 Cricket World Cup 2020.
In February 2020, the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in South Africa played out 747 million video views across ICC digital media assets which were a staggering 700% growth from the 2018 edition.
In March, during the Women’s T20 World Cup in Australia, the ICC’s digital channels received a total of 1.1 billion video views, which was a 1900% increase on the 2018 edition making it the most-watched ICC women’s event to date. It was also the second most successful ICC event ever after the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019 with 4.6 billion views across channels.
The final of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 also, recorded the most single-day views on the ICC Facebook page (64.9 million) since records began.
As the Coronavirus pandemic spread globally, people have been confined to their homes and the only place of interaction was social media. During the lockdown period, ICC’s video views on Facebook jumped from 3 million minutes to 15 million minutes per day (outside of the ICC live events).
Good news, AMD lovers finally, fresh leaks have come out about the new AMD Ryzen 4000 processors based on Zen 3 microarchitecture. Thanks to Igors Lab, who has leaked the info which shows the so-called Ryzen 9 4950X to be a 16-core, 32-thread CPU with a healthy boost clock speed of 4.8GHz. This is not a huge bump in clock speeds as the predecessor could boost up to 4.7GHz.
The info is derived from an OPN code that reads “100-000000059-52_48/35_Y.” The ’35’ number at the end also signifies that the CPU features 3.5 GHz base clock, and the ’48’ means that the boost clock is 4.8 GHz.
This OPN code is most likely being referred to as an engineering sample of the Zen 3 ‘Vermeer’ Ryzen 4000 CPU. So, obviously, there could be a massive difference in the engineering sample and the retail product and we could see it’s likely clock speeds going higher at launch and could finally enter Intel’s 5GHz territory.
There are certain speculations that these new processors could get a name change also before of its official announcement. AMD is said to be skipping the Ryzen 4000 series nomenclature on the desktop front to just avoid the confusion with its current Zen 2-based Ryzen 4000 mobile processors lineup. Although the leak doesn’t give us a solid idea about AMD’s upcoming Zen 3 desktop CPUs, there will be significant performance improvements from last gen.
Previous leaks have also claimed the fact that Ryzen 4000 CPUs will deliver almost 15% better IPC compared to AMD’s Ryzen 3000 desktop processors. To see them you do not have to wait long as AMD is supposed to launch these new processors next month itself after Intel reveals its much-awaited 10nm Tiger Lake CPUs with Intel Xe graphics.

SoftBank owned Arm has recently become a talking point because the Japanese bank wants to sell the UK based chip designer to any suitable owners. So, it has been approaching a lot of potential tech giants including Apple and NVIDIA.
This is very important not for the standpoint for the Japanese company’s shareholders but also as a whole tech industry in general. ARM has been designing chips for quite some time and the SoCs in the industry use ARM’s instruction sets for their chips.
So, naturally who buys the chip designer, there will be a major hassle going on in the tech market. SoftBank was a neutral group to own the company but if some tech company buys it then obviously there will be a commotion among the customers of ARM.
There were a lot of rumors about the graphics giant Nvidia, to be the potential buyer of the child designer. It was also said that they were in advanced talks concerning the takeover. But two days ago Arm co-founder spoke in public regarding the fact that if his company would be sold to Nvidia it would be a disaster.
It was also being speculated that Samsung was also interested in bidding to get a piece of Arm. As Hexus reports, insiders also talked about the South Korean giant purchasing a stake in Arm.
However, a recent report from Nikkei Asian Review published on this SoftBank Arm sale saga says that other companies have approached to make a bid for the chip designer. The Japanese financial publication also said that when SoftBank approached Apple and Nvidia, it also contacted other major tech giants and even provided select financial data.
SoftBank not only supplied the extra financial data to Nvidia only but also to TSMC, Qualcomm, and even Foxconn. The data includes the details of income and projections to show the potential of this kind of investment.
While the Cupertino giant has backed out of this, Nvidia is still said to be in advanced talks. On the other hand, TSMC and Foxconn are taking things slower. Although TSMC and Arm are long-time partners, it is being reported that the Taiwanese chipmaker has made a statement to say that it does not intend to invest in Arm.
The Champions League is back in action from tonight. Manchester City will host Real Madrid in what will be a mouthwatering tie. The first leg score at the Bernabeu was 1-2 in favour of Manchester City.
Real Madrid has an uphill task. Not only are they behind on aggregate score, but they will also be without their captain Sergio Ramos. He was shown a red card after he caught Gabriel Jesus from behind on the edge of the box after the Brazilian got through on goal.
Gabriel Jesus and Kevin De Bruyne were the heroes for Manchester City in their win at the Bernabeu. But going into the second leg, Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane is confident that they have in them what it takes to upset Manchester City.
Varane said on Ramos’ absence: “I think Sergio is a very important player for us, but we know that we are a group where we all have our role. For example, I always help my team-mates, it is my way of playing and I like to cover others. In the locker room, I talk a lot with my team-mates about the tactic, that will never change.”
“To win the Champions League we have to be a strong group, with many leaders, we know the importance of Sergio, but we all have to play a great game to qualify.”
Varane said in his virtual press conference that he is confident about Real Madrid progressing to the next round: “I have experience in this competition, we know how tough it is to win it. We’re full of confidence, we have to attack and be clinical. We’re up against good opposition who play some nice football, are very good going forward, and we have to be offensive and attack well.”
“We know these games are decided by the finest of details, so we have to be clinical in both areas, that makes the difference in these games – we have to play with high levels of intensity and concentration. We know we need a strong group full of leaders if we’re going to win the Champions League and that won’t change.”
“We come into the game full of confidence after our recent results and more rested than we would have been had we played the match in March. We hope we’re ready to win it.”
Real Madrid will have to put in a herculean effort to overcome Pep Guardiola’s side at the Etihad stadium on Friday night.
Chinese phone manufacturer, VIVO has already backed out from the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020. Due to the social media backlash on Chinese companies, VIVO has decided to give the IPL sponsorship deal a pause for this year. The India-China sentiment is flying high and the Indian government has already banned many Chinese apps.
VIVO has now also pulled out from the sponsorship deal with Pro Kabaddi League (PKL). VIVO had signed a deal for the title sponsorship in 2017. The deal was worth Rs 60 crores per year for the next five years. The total value of the deal is Rs 300 crores.
The 2020 edition of PKL has been cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic. But now VIVO has informed Star India, majority shareholders of PKL, that they want to terminate the deal.
A person directly involved with the deal to ET said: “Vivo has decided to lie low amid all the negative publicity the brand was generating since the India–China clash on the border. The company has decided to pull out of all the major deals, at least for this year, and will focus on selling products via more retail discount and commissions,”
This a big blow for Indian Sports. VIVO has paused the 2020 edition of IPL but in case of PKL, they are looking to terminate the whole deal.
Along with these two deals, VIVO has also pulled out of the sponsorship deal with the Viacom18-owned Colors channel for ‘Big Boss’. VIVO was paying Rs 30 crores for Bigg Boss per season.

We have seen magnetic charging in various iPhones before but now in 2020, we are expecting something more advanced than just wireless charging. The iPhone 12 will also come with this tech and might also feature something new in this one.
According to some reports, Apple iPhone 12 is said to have magnetic attachments, where strong magnets will be placed at the back of the smartphone allowing the smartphone to move automatically to the optimal position on the wireless charger for proper charging.
If you are confused about what it is, let us tell you wireless chargers have a specific area on it where a smartphone should be placed for proper charging. So a person needs to place it properly in the optimal position to charge the phone properly. Thus Apple is countering this problem with a magnetic attachment, where strong magnets will help to correct the misplacing and will automatically adjust it on the optimal position on the charger.
These renders have been collected from the Weibo and the schematics shows the placement of such magnetic attachments along with the wireless charging tech.
Apple might be working on such type of Wireless chargers and might officially release it after the fiasco that was the AirPower project. This kind of charger might only work with the upcoming iPhone 12 series as such chargers are not available in the market to be compatible with such magnetic attachment.
