0

Samsung gained more popularity in the mid-range smartphone segment for so many launches in that segment and especially due to the revamped M series and A series. Now in 2020 Samsung is all set to continue the hype in the mid-range segment with more new launches. recently three new devices from the brand have been spotted in the Wi-Fi Alliance site, more likely Samsung Galaxy M31, M11, and A31 has been approved with the Wi-Fi Alliance certificate.

The listing reveals all three handsets will run Android 10 but the M11 (model number SM-M115F/DS) and A11 (SM-A115F/DS) will only support single-band 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connectivity while the M31 (SM-M315F/DS) steps up to dual-band capabilities.

Galaxy M11 and M31 certifications

According to reports the only other info we have on the M11 is that it will to come in blue, black and violet colors. Huawei will come with a $150 5G smartphone by the end of this year.

0

According to sources, Huawei is working on smartphones which they are going to deliver at a very cheap price by the end of this year or early next year i.e. 2021. Huawei is going to deliver those smartphones at just CNY 1028, which is around $150 and nearly INR 10,700.

At the moment the cheapest 5G phone costs CNY 2,000 (around $290) but most command a price of CNY 3,000 (~$430) or higher, so phone for around CNY 1,000 would enable a lot more people to experience 5G. If by the end of this year Huawei makes it possible it will be great hit and we can expect these devices will come very soon in different parts of the world including India.

The recently-unveiled MediaTek 1000L and Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipsets with optional 5G modem integration should allow 5G connectivity on a number of mid-range smartphones. Up until this point, 5G connectivity was mostly a flagship-exclusive feature, but now people can get it easily with such advancement in technology.

Huawei and Samsung will spearhead 5G adoption in 2020 until Apple joins the market. In 2019 Samsung reportedly shipped some 6.7M 5G-equipped devices, while Huawei reportedly outdid it with 6.9M and the number will increase rapidly. Customers need the best at a very affordable price.

Image result for huawei and 5G

Indian market is mainly based on mid-range devices and low-range devices. Millenniums need a power-packed device at a very low price and to deliver those brands are launching several varieties of mid-range smartphones. Studies have shown that, especially the segment under INR 10,000 is the most popular segment in the Indian market.

Price of Samsung’s S series and Z Flip have leaked.

0

The Samsung Galaxy S20 series was in discussion for quite a long time. The series is going to be 5G enabled and is definitely going to be a costly device due to this. 5G feature is something new and Samsung is implementing it in its flagship series which is definitely going to top the price chart. Including the Galaxy S20 series, the source has also revealed the price of the rumored Samsung Galaxy Z Flip.

Previously the S10 series was on average an $800 device and in India, the price is around INR 55,000. Those devices were 4G enabled and now we are in a 5G era and the price will definitely rise. There will also be storage variants of each device in the series, and the price will vary accordingly.

This is how much the Samsung Galaxy S20 5G series is going to cost. Though the price is not categorized according to each storage variants we can still get an idea of the range from this.

PhoneRumored price
Samsung Galaxy S20 5G€900-1,000
Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G€1,050-1,100
Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G€1,300
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip€1,400

This information is shared by @MaxWinebach and we can definitely guess that all the devices will be somewhat costly. For comparison, the previous generation started at €750, €900 and €1,000 for the Galaxy S10e, S10 and S10 Plus, respectively. Unless you’re going for the Ultra, this is a €150 price increase for the 5G models and €50 for the 4G ones.

A bit of additional info about the Galaxy S20 Ultra. It will have a 30x hybrid zoom (which Samsung will claim to be lossless) and 100x digital zoom. The phone will be available in Black, Gray, Blue, and Pink.

Samsung’s next foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Flip, will be €1,400 – just €100 more than the S20 Ultra 5G. The price of the Flip is subject to change before the Unpacked event in late February. Still, the Galaxy Fold launched at €2,000 last year, so this is comparatively cheap (at least as far as foldable phones go). The Z Flip will use older hardware though (SD 855 chipset and 12MP cameras).

AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT with new vBIOS update brings up to 11% better performance

0

The recently announced AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT is now available in the market and knowing the potential of this Navi 10 GPU, NVIDIA has been forced to reduce the prices of its RTX 2060 GPU to $300 only and now that can be threatening for AMD.

Up till now, the Radeon RX 5600 XT’s competition was up against the GTX 1660 GPUs which it clearly demolishes, knowing this fact, NVIDIA made this last-minute decision to attract buyers who now would have gone for AMD alternatives. This battle is for the 1920×1080 gaming which represents over 65 per cent of gamers.

AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT with new vBIOS update brings up to 11% better performance

The tentative release date for the RX 5600 XT was yesterday and now it’s available in the market for $279 by various AIBs including Asus, MSI, Gigabyte, Sapphire, XFX, ASRock, and Powercolor. Even though most of the shipments are done by the board partners, AMD has pushed this new vBIOS to its AIB partners after NVIDIA’s price cuts.

Original Specs of AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT

AMD has even retained Navi 10’s 64 ROPs with this GPU, the RX 5600 XT features 36 compute units along with the same 2,304 stream processors seen in the Radeon RX 5700, but we see slower clock speeds with the base clock being 1,375MHz and 1,560MHz boost.

The GPU packs 6GB of GDDR6 memory, instead of the RX 5700’s 8GB. Altogether AMD says the new card is capable of delivering up to 7.19 teraflops of throughput, whereas the RX 5700 which is a bit higher at delivers 7.95 TFLOPS of throughput. The Radeon RX 5600 series graphics features the PCI Express® 4.0 support which provides greater bandwidth than gen 3.

AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT with new vBIOS update brings up to 11% better performance

The RX 5600 XT features 12Gbps GDDR6 memory instead of the 14Gbps chips found on the RX 5700/5500 ones. The GPU has 192-bit memory bus, which 1/4th of Navi 10’s MC/L2 partitions have been disabled. This results in 36% lesser memory bandwidth than the RX 5700, available at 288GB/sec speed.

On the performance front, AMD has compared the RX 5600 XT against the NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 1660 series and their older GTX 1060 cards. In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, the GTX 1060 currently scores around 57 FPS in 1080p with ultra quality settings, while the RX 5600 XT delivers 92 FPS.

AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT with new vBIOS update brings up to 11% better performance

Specs of AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT after vBIOS update

Firstly, the new vBIOS increases the TBP (Typical Board Power) to 160W, a 10W increase from the original 150W TBP. This will obviously affect the original design by board partners in favour of a higher margin for core and memory clocks.

Sapphire is one of AMD’s premiere AIB partners and the Sapphire’s RX 5600 XT Pulse after this vBIOS update is having a huge performance gain, we now have a base and boost clocks of 1,615 MHz and 1,750 MHz respectively, this is a huge performance gain from the original.

The memory clock is now running at 14Gbps from its previous 12Gbps which again will improve the performance. Now after this vBIOS update there’s a lot more similarity between the specs of the RX 5700 and the RX 5600 XT. AMD is pushing as much possible with this Navi 10 GPU which we knew was underwhelming previously.

The tipster TUM_APISAK has managed out a leaked benchmark that suggests the performance improvements after the vBIOS update. In the Time Spy, Fire Strike, Fire Strike Extreme, and Fire Strike Ultra benchmarks we see around 10% – 11% uplift in performance which is pretty impressive considering the fact that this GPU was underwhelming till now.

Now people might wonder the real-world improvement on this GPU after the update and Hardware Unboxed has tested the RX 5600 XT applying this update and compared it before the update as well. Overall they too saw a 10% performance improvement in real-world tests.

In games, we see the new RX 5600 XT giving better performance than the GTX 1660 series in most of the title and after the update it just demolishes the 1660 series competition, competing against the new $300 RTX 2060 and it levels the 1080p performance at a lower price, thus AMD achieves the triumph after its hard work.

So, if you are planning to buy an AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT just go for it, provided you know how to update BIOS or else wait for few weeks for the updated GPUs to land in the market.

Barcelona plan to replace injured Suarez with Aubameyang

Barcelona’s campaign were dealt with a major blow following the injury of their star striker Luis Suarez. Suarez was injured while playing against Levante and that injury was far worse than expected.

Suarez has undergone knee surgery and he will miss around four months of football, which will definitely weaken Barcelona’s claim of winning the LaLiga and the Champions League.

suarez

Barcelona released a statement on their official website: “The first-team player, Luis Suárez, has been operated on this Sunday by Dr. Ramon Cugat, who used keyhole surgery to resolve an injury to the external meniscus of the right knee by performing a suture. The Uruguayan striker will be out for approximately four months.”

After Lionel Messi, Suarez is the main man of the Barcelona team. He has participated in a total of 23 games this season, in which he has scored 14 goals: 11 in the league and three in the Champions League. In addition, he has the most assists in LaLiga in this season with a total of 7.

suarez

Suarez will surely be missed by Barcelona but it’s now time for Griezmann to prove his worth and replace Suarez. He is having a decent debut season, scoring 7 goals in 18 league appearances. But he needs to do better to replace the veteran striker.

Barcelona board are also looking at all the other possible players to replace Suarez. The man who leads the list is Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Aubameyang is one of the best Premier League strikers. The 30-year-old has scored an impressive 57 goals in 91 Arsenal appearances since his move from Borussia Dortmund in January 2018.

The Gabon international has bagged 16 goals in 26 appearances in the Premier League and Europa League this season for the Gunners. He has also been recently given the responsibility of captaining the side.

aubameyang

Aubameyang is 30 and may consider this his last opportunity to play for one of the giants of European football. His contract expires in June 2021 so it may also leave Arsenal with a decision to make, whether that be now or at the end of the current season.

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher said on the Sky Sports Christmas Transfer show: “You look at the upfront and the age of Aubameyang, he’s got a year to go. I wouldn’t be surprised if they cashed in on Aubameyang if somebody offered them big money.
That’s even though he’s one of the top strikers in the Premier League. They do still have Lacazette there also but it’s a big job at Arsenal.”

Barcelona are said to open negotiations with Arsenal in the next few days. Aubameyang’s efficiency in front of goal and his versatility are the things that are attracting Barcelona to make their move.
