The Samsung Galaxy S20 series was launched earlier this year. Now, extracting its key features and responding to the customer Samsung, today, launched the Galaxy S20 FE (Fan Edition). Lucas Torreira agrees personal terms with Atletico Madrid

Lucas Torreira is a transfer target for Atletico Madrid. That is as long as they manage to get rid of Hector Herrera. 

According to an update from Fabrizio Romano, the 24-year-old has agreed on personal terms with the Rojiblancos. However, the two clubs are yet to agree on a suitable transfer fee for the young defensive midfielder. 

Hector Herrera joined Atletico last season for free after his contract at Porto expired. With the Mexican being deemed surplus to requirements by Diego Simeone, he will be offloaded before a bid for the Uruguayan is launched. 

Houssem Aouar and Thomas Partey are amongst the transfer targets for the Gunners with the former set to be Torreira’s replacement at the Emirates stadium.

Torreira has been monitored by various Italian clubs such as Sampdoria and Torino, but it seems like Madrid is his most probable destination.

Despite having three years left on his contract, Torreira looks to be on his way out of the Emirates owing to a lack of preference by manager Mikel Arteta. Being a defensive midfielder under one of the best defensive-minded coaches in the world, Diego Simeone is the stuff that dreams are made of.

Tesla unveils its new ‘Tabless’ battery

Tesla unveiled plans on Tuesday to develop a “Tabless” battery that could improve an electric car’s range and power. Tesla company CEO Elon Musk predicts this will help to dramatically reduce costs. This will allow the company to sell electric vehicles for the same price as gasoline-powered ones. These new batteries will be in-house produce of Tesla company.

The company believes that the new battery will lower Tesla’s cost per kilowatt-hour. Experts believe that lowering these costs will allow Tesla to dramatically lower the price of its cars. This will make them far more accessible. The news of the new battery was announced during the company’s much-hyped “Battery Day” event in Palo Alto, California.

The Tabless cells are called 4860 cells

These cells will give the company’s EV batteries five times more energy capacity, make them six times more powerful, and enable a 16 percent range increase for Tesla’s vehicles.

Musk reported that the company achieved this breakthrough by removing the tab, a part of the battery that forms a connection between the cell and what it is powering.

“You actually have a shorter path length for the electron to travel in a large tabless cell than you have in the smaller cell with tabs,” Musk added. “So even though the cell is bigger, it actually has more power”.

In addition to providing more energy and power, the new cells will also result in a 14% cost reduction. Tesla reports that its new cell manufacturing system is “close to working” at the pilot plant level.

During the event, Drew Baglino, Tesla’s vice president for powertrain and energy said that Tesla’s engineers “laser patterned” the existing foils in the cell to create a “shingled spiral” that results in a shorter electrical path length of 50 mm, versus the existing 250 mm length in the current cells.

Tottenham looking to sign Milan Skriniar and reinforce Mourinho’s centre-back options

Tottenham have been on a streak of signings in the transfer market. After re-signing Lo Celso from Real Betis, they announced Hojberg and Doherty from fellow Premier League clubs Southampton and Wolves earlier this summer.

Very recently, they announced the moves of Reguilon and Gareth Bale both from Real Madrid. It is this kind of ambition which questions Daniel Levy’s strategy having earlier admitted that it is tough to find funds to splurge in the market for such quality players. 

Nevertheless, they are stealthily moving forward for another target. And this time it is 25-year-old Inter centre back Milan Skriniar. With over 250 appearances at club level, Skriniar brings quality to a side whose current options are Toby Alderweireld, Davinson Sanchez and Eric Dier.

The Slovakian is also quite versatile, having played at right-back and defensive midfield at times. However, the transfer is not expected to go through quite easily for a host of reasons. Firstly, the 60 million pounds valuation by Inter is not feasible for Tottenham. Secondly, it is rumoured that PSG are also monitoring the situation very closely.

However, what has pleased Spurs fans are the moves for Reguilon and former player Gareth Bale. The former solves the problems Mourinho has been having at left-back, with Ben Davies injured often and Danny Rose actively pushing for a move away from the club. Reguilon was also phenomenal for Sevilla last season, having made a fine impression in that Europa League final.

And as far as Gareth Bale is concerned, he immediately slots into that right-wing position. He will be looking to form a great partnership with the likes of Harry Kane and Dele Alli. So if Spurs indeed manage to sign someone like Skriniar, they will have a more than competent first XI that brims with talent and on their day can beat any team regardless of their status.

IPL 2020: MS Dhoni clarifies the reason why he came to bat at No. 7

IPL 2020 just in its fourth day has created a massive upset as Rajasthan Royals defeated favourites Chennai Super Kings by 16 runs.

Royals put up a massive score of 216 runs batting first. Sanju Samson made an incredible 74 of just 32 balls which included 9 sixes! Steve Smith led by example as he scored 69 of just 47 balls. Jofra Archer added cherry on the cake by scoring 27 of just 8 balls.

While chasing, CSK came fairly close but was restricted to 200 runs. Faf Du Plessis picked off from where he left last time as he scored 72 runs of 37. MS Dhoni played a cameo of 29 runs of just 17 balls which included three consecutive sixes in the last over.

However, the fact that MS Dhoni came to bat at No. 7 has been an issue of controversy across the cricketing community. CSK didn’t have the services of Ambati Rayadu who was the highest run-scorer in their last game. Despite that, Dhoni sent Sam Curran, Kedar Jadhav, and debutant Ruturaj Gaikwad ahead of him is baffling.

Gambhir slams the decision!

Former KKR captain and Indian opener Gautam Gambhir certainly wasn’t happy with Dhoni’s batting number. He didn’t measure any words to give his opinion.

“I was a bit surprised, to be honest,” Gambhir said. 

“MS Dhoni batting at No. 7? And sending Gaikwad before him, Sam Curran before him. Makes no sense to me. In fact, you should be leading from the front. And this is not what you call leading from the front. Batting at No. 7 when you’re chasing what… 213 [217]? The game was over. Faf was probably the lone warrior.”

“Yes, you can talk about MS Dhoni last over [when he hit three sixes], but it was of no use, to be honest. It was just all personal runs.”

Dhoni cleared the air on the issue!

Dhoni weighed in on the issue. He believes the lacklustre camp due to the pandemic was the reason why he came to bat lower down the order.

“I haven’t batted for a long time. 14-day quarantine doesn’t help.”

CSK coach Stephen Fleming defended his team’s reason for sending the captain at number 7 as well.

“MS is a specialist at the end of the innings, always has been,” Fleming said. “Curran was there to try and hit us and keep us in the game at that point when we were falling behind. He’s got good hitting power as we saw. Ruturaj… it was his first game and we wanted to get him into the game, into the order. We wanted to be aggressive, we’ve got a long batting order and we’re just trying to use our resources smartly.”

The LaLiga clubs have been quite active this season, but not in the recruitment process. Spanish clubs, in particular, are more into selling this season, than buying players. The likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Valencia have been particularly keen on freeing up their wage bill. But what is the main reason behind the clubs trying to reduce their squad strength? Find out below!

The financial angle

The most obvious of reasons has to be to raise funds. Collecting revenue from transfers becomes increasingly important considering that clubs are incurring heavy losses with every passing matchday. This is due to the absence of the revenue accumulated by ticket sales. 

Football in Spain is more of a lifestyle than a pass-time. Hence, packed stadiums make for the most reliable source of income throughout the season. Until fans return to the stadiums, this is probably the only plausible way to raise funds right now.

Valencia seems to be one of the best examples to get this point across.

Over the span of a single transfer window, they have lost their best players in Rodrigo, Parejo, Coquelin, Garay and Ferran Torres. 

Bloated Squads

In addition to finances taking a hit, squads have become bloated as well. This results in players becoming unhappy due to lack of game time.

Since every player wants minutes on the pitch, the most constructive solution has to be to send them out on loan or make their moves away permanent.

However, Real Madrid are a team with too much quality on their hands. Hakimi, Reguilon, Bale, James Rodriguez, Kubo, Reinier and Oscar Rodriguez are among the departures from the Spanish capital. 

With so many talented youngsters, it is difficult to give each and every one of them game time. It is of vital importance that young players get minutes on the pitch, which are essential for their development. 

Hence, making some money of them is the most viable solution. 

These two cases show the two sides of two great clubs, one seems have everything set for the present and the future. The other, in shambles and crumbling where they stand.

AMD Ryzen 7 5700U with 8 cores and 16 threads spotted

Already AMD has stunned everyone of us with its efficient yet powerful Ryzen 4000U mobile APUs because of their efficiency and performance, now, it seems the team Red is ready to face off team Blue with its Ryzen 5000U Cezanne mobile processor.

Cezanne or AMD Ryzen 5000 APUs are based on AMD’s upcoming Zen 3 architecture and its existence has already been confirmed with AMD’s leaked roadmap. Also, you might think this is a rumor, but, previously the same APUs have been spotted SiSoftware database as well.

These Cezanne APUs will be succeeding Renoir on both laptops and desktops featuring Zen 3 CPU cores and Vega graphics. On the other hand, the speculated Van Gogh APUs will be featuring RDNA 2 graphics but come with Zen 2 CPU cores.

So, the next-gen AMD mobile APU will retain 8 cores on-board and interestingly, the 5700U will be a 16-threaded APU rather than its predecessor Ryzen 7 4700U with 8 cores and 8 threads. The upcoming Ryzen 7 5700U was spotted on the Ashes of Singularity benchmark paired with 16GB DDR4 RAM.

The scores weren’t much convincing at 1080p low, however, the existence of the next-gen AMD mobile APUs seems to be confirmed. You might have to get familiar with Ryzen 5000 already because AMD will be using the same name for its desktop Zen 3 based CPU series codenamed Vermeer, to be unveiled on October 8th.
