Pep Guardiola expresses his admiration for Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City is due to travel to Elland Road to face Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United on Saturday.

Bielsa has done an excellent job at Leeds as he managed to bring the former giants back to the Premier League after a long gap of 16 years. They have started the league in a good fashion, showing intent to finish in the top half of the Premier League table in their very first season back in the top flight.

Pep Guardiola has now expressed his admiration for Marcelo Bielsa before City take on Leeds.

Guardiola said: “I think (Bielsa is) probably the person I admire the most in world football as a manager and as a person.”

“I think he is the most authentic manager all the time in terms of how he conducts his teams, he is unique.”

“Especially his behaviour as a person off the pitch.”

He further added: “My theory is the manager is not about the titles because I feel far away from his knowledge. My teams won more titles than his, but in terms of knowledge of the game, I am away from him.”

“It is a good present, a good gift to have him in the Premier League.”

Guardiola also mentioned Cryuff’s influence on him. He said: “Cruyff was the most influential (to me) because I was four years with him and when I started as a manager he was an incredible help, but Marcelo, he is the person in world football I admire the most.”

Manchester City would hope to be back in the Premier League race once again after they lost to Leicester City by 5-2 last weekend.

AOC launches 3 new budget-oriented monitors

AOC is a Taiwanese-based conglomerate known for the manufacturer and delivers displays that are pretty famous for moderate.

Recently the company has released three new monitors as part of its famous E2 series. The monitors primarily aim to look for a large and high-resolution monitor, which is not heavy on their pockets.

The Q32E2N model is an entry-level model with a €249 price tag. It offers a 31.5-inch VA panel with a 75 Hz refresh rate. While offering a native resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels, it also provides a pixel density of 93 PPI. The display panel comes with a maximum brightness of 250 nits.

Next in line is the new Q34E2A. The device is a 34-inch monitor with AOC offering an IPS panel on the display. The device, just like the Q32E2N, also supports a 75 Hz refresh rate while offering 300 nits of peak brightness. Unlike Q32E2N, the Q34E2A comes with a 2,560 x 1,080 display panel. This allows the display to offer a pixel density of 82 PPI. The Q34E2A is available for €289 while also offering a noticeably narrower display bezel on its three sides as compared with the Q32E2N.

Now let’s talk about the most expensive of three siblings.

The new U32E2N is arguably the most expensive and the best of the three monitors released by AOC. Standing at €429, which is more than a 50% increment then its siblings, the device stands to be at the peak compared with the other two displays.

The U32E2N monitor offers a 31.5-inch display, just like the Q32E2N. While also featuring a VA panel display, the U32E2N offers 350 nits of peak brightness and a native resolution of 3,849 x 2,169 pixels. The 16:9 display of the monitor has a pixel density of 140 PPI.

The most expensive of the three new monitors is the U32E2N, for which AOC charges £249 (€429). The U32E2N is a 31.5-inch VA panel like the Q32E2N, but it offers 350 nits of peak brightness and a native resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels. Correspondingly, the 16:9 display has a pixel density of 140 PPI, but it tops out at a refresh rate of 60 Hz, which is a disappointment, to be honest.

All the 3 monitors support Adaptive Sync, Display Port, HDMI, and sport 3 W speakers. The monitors are not the best choice for users looking for high-resolution displays for their office. But they are also not the worst choice.

If you are looking for budget-oriented monitors offering decent specs, then, by all means, the AOC’s E2 series monitors are certainly a good choice.

Edinson Cavani seems to be the name rumoured to join the Red Devils, and it makes sense considering Anthony Martial needs some quality backup and Odion Ighalo has experienced a dip in quality as of recently.

Though Rashford has been deployed up front as well, the Englishman is doing much better on the wings and lacks a striker’s instinct. Moving him out to the left has been one of the unexpected moves by Ole that turned out well for the team. 

Cavani has had a lifetime of experience competing at the top level, with spells at Napoli and PSG, winning multiple pieces of silverware with both clubs. 

The Uruguayan has scored over 200 goals for PSG and is arguably the best striker in the French Champions’ history. 

His Champions League experience could be exactly what Manchester United need, especially with the fact that they will be competing in the top tier of European football this season.

Quality options are necessary if Ole’s side is to progress deep into the tournament. Given the hefty investment in players this season, the Board will be expecting Ole to at least make it to the quarters. 

On the other hand, Manchester United are one of the few clubs in Europe that can afford the sky-high wages that the former PSG man demands. 

According to recent reports, an offer of about £200,000 a week has been drafted for the striker. Considering the fact that Manchester United will not have to pay anything for Cavani, it could pay off as a wise investment in the long run.

Indian government open to launching its very own Atmanirbhar Application Store

Google on Monday released updated play store policies that added new regulations for play store tax paid by the developers. The new rules enforce that developers now have to compulsorily use Google’s in-built play store payment system allowing the tech giant to collect 30% of cut on every in-app purchase.

This, however, shouldn’t be confused as a new policy introduced by Google. In fact, the rule to pay a 30% cut was in place since along. However, Google has always turned a blind eye to companies like Netflix or Spotify, to name a few, that offer their subscription and accept payments without using the Google payment system from the play store.

With its updated policies, Google is merely trying to make every developer on the Play Store comply with the existing rules.

Response of Indian developers

Many Indian start-ups are now calling for an alternative app store to launch their applications on the Android platform. This comes as a result of Indian developers showing conflict overpaying a 30% pay cut to Google.

In a sudden development, it is suggested that the Modi government is eyeing to launch soon announce India’s very own ‘Application Store’ to rival not only Google Play but also Apple’s App Store. This will be a part of India’s ongoing efforts to make the country more ‘self-reliant’ or Atmanirbhar.

According to the source, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY)’s Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), will help the new Atmanirbhar App Store project. The main aim is suggested to not levy a 30 percent cut on transactions and in-app purchases like Google or Apple. 

There are a few alternatives to Google’s Play Store on Android, including websites from which one can download APKs.

Only time will tell if India’s Atmanirbhar App Store will become successful and gain a market share. Many have tried and failed in the dethroning Play Store and App Store. If India’s National Application Store wants to become successful, it has to attract developers’ attention worldwide.

More investments pouring in as Reliance is looking to transform its retail business

It’s only a day since we heard Mubadala invest ₹ 6,247.5 crores into Reliance Retail Ventures, Reliance again today has announced its another new investor in the form the global investment firm TPG.

TPG will be investing ₹ 1,837.5 crores into RRVL, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries. This investment values Reliance Retail at a pre-money equity value of ₹ 4.285 lakh crores. TPG’s investment will translate into a 0.41% equity stake in RRVL on a fully diluted basis.

Much like the other investors in the likes of Silver Lake, KKR, General Atlantic, and Mubadala, TPG is also the second investor for Reliance as all of these investors have already poured a huge sum of money into Jio Platforms, TPG previously invested ₹ 4,546.8 crores in Jio earlier.

A recent report claims that an image of OnePlus 8T has been revealed by a case maker company Case-Mate where they are displaying their back cover for the upcoming OnePlus 8T and accidentally revealed the design of the phone itself. The case being semi-transparent shows the back design of the phone.

Moreover, the case-maker website has shown the image from different sides. We have seen the camera layout of the phone and even the side buttons. The case is named Soap Bubble case and it is a silicon case priced at 191 MYR.

Now coming to the design, the images listed in the site reveals quad-rear camera setup and dual flash mounted in a rectangular cutout.

Recently, an emerging tipster Yogesh has assumed the camera module of this OnePlus 8T. In the earlier days, it was rumored that the OnePlus 8T would sport a quad rear camera setup, which includes a 64MP primary sensor. Diogo Dalot to fly to Milan for completing a loan deal

After falling out of favour with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and almost being forgotten as a Manchester United player, Diogo Dalot is set to revive his career in Italy, which seems to be the hotspot for Manchester United players to have another crack at the top tier of European football. 

With the likes of Lukaku, Alexis Sanches, Mkhitaryan, Chris Smalling and Ashley Young already making the voyage to Serie A to gain minutes, Diogo Dalot looks set to join AC Milan on loan for the 20/21 season. 

Reports state that the full-back will be flying to Milan today or tomorrow at the latest to complete the move to the Rossoneri. 

According to an update by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, there has been no option to buy the player included in the loan deal. Manchester United have asked for €30 million as a fee. 

Fans have been left scratching their heads especially due to the urgency of Manchester United to sell before they spend. Donny Van de Beek has been the only major signing this summer and should talks with Alex Telles fail to go through, United could be in for a rough season unless their current squad makes a drastic improvement.
