IPL 2020 – DC vs KXIP: Match preview, Fantasy XI team and Prediction

Match 38 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 will feature another game of high stakes as Delhi Capitals will take on the Kings XI Punjab.

Kings XI Punjab are pretty much in a do or die situation as they’ll have to win all five of their remaining matches or at least four of them and depend on the net run rate. They’re showing signs of bouncing back as they have registered wins over the top teams of Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians. However, they have another heavyweight to get pass through as they take on table-toppers, the Delhi Capitals.

DC has won seven of their nine matches. Winning one more match will solidify their place in the playoffs and they would like to do exactly the same. They’re coming off a win against the Chennai Super Kings. KXIP, on the other hand, is coming off a win against the Mumbai Indians.

Delhi Capitals

Capitals have had some difficulty in their batting since their last few matches they were at least 10-15 runs short. Rishabh Pant being injured has added some distortion in their team combination. The restriction of playing four foreign players had Shimron Hetmyer out of the playing 11 as well. However, they have equally capable Ajinkya Rahane and Alex Carey replacing them. Rahane especially will have to prove his worth and play according to the situation probably coming at number 3. Prithvi Shaw will have to regain his form.

Their bowling, however, can compensate for some fewer runs. Everyone in their bowling attack has been phenomenal. Rabada holds the purple cap with 19 wickets. Nortje has looked in great form clocking in the fastest, second fastest, and the fourth fastest delivery in the history of the IPL in their last match itself. Ashwin and Axar Patel have been keeping things tight as well.

Kings XI Punjab

KXIP is coming off one of the best games of cricket in the history of the sport as they defeated the Mumbai Indians in the second super over of the game.

Mumbai Indians put up a challenging score of 176 runs on board. Kings XI Punjab paced it’s chase properly to score an exact 176 runs. Both the teams had a tie in the super over as well which lead to another super over. Finally, KXIP was able to get the better of it by winning the second super over.

Chris Jordan has found some form which is good. However, Glenn Maxwell will have to contribute in some way or the other.

Fantasy XI team

KL RAHUL (11) (C) – Rahul has been extremely consistent in this IPL. He has been a run machine and will be our captain.

SHIKHAR DHAWAN (VC) – Dhawan is coming off three phenomenal innings which include two fifties and a match-winning not out hundred against CSK. He’ll be our vice-captain.

MAYANK AGARWAL (9.5) – Agarwal is probably in the best purple patch of his life.

SHREYAS IYER (9.5) -Iyer has been in really good form throughout the season. He adapts to the situation and plays accordingly.

MARCUS STOINIS (9) – Stoinis has looked great and has provided both runs and wickets at crucial stages. He’s coming off a wonderful fifty against the formidable CSK batting lineup.

AXAR PATEL (8.5) – Patel has been in great form with both bat and ball.

KAGISO RABADA (9.5) – Rabada has been the highest wicket-taker of the season so far.

ANRICH NORTJE (8.5) – Nortje has impressed everyone with his speed. He has been a great wicket-taker for Capitals.

R. ASHWIN (9) – Ashwin has looked really good in the season so far. He has continued to show form despite being out of the playing 11 for a while due to injury.

MURUGAN ASHWIN (8) – M. Ashwin has looked really good in the chances he has got so far.

ARSHDEEP SINGH (8) – Just like other Indian fast bowlers like T. Natarajan and Kartik Tyagi, Arshdeep Singh has been a breath of fresh air this IPL.

Prediction

Delhi Capitals have looked a bit shaky and less invincible after Rishabh Pant’s injury. KXIP, however, has shown improvement in almost all aspects as their middle-order and pace bowling weaknesses have sorted out up to a level. Kings XI Punjab will therefore defeat the Delhi Capitals.

Manchester United has identified a potential long term replacement of Edinson Cavani. Cavani has joined United on the deadline day in a free transfer. The Uruguayan striker has signed a 2-year deal with the Red Devils.

But Manchester United is now looking for a long term replacement who can fill the boots of Edinson Cavani when he retired.

Manchester United has identified Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez as the perfect replacement for Edinson Cavani. The Argentinian had an excellent last season and caught the eye of multiple big clubs. FC Barcelona was linked with Lautaro but failed to sign him.

The 23-year-old striker has scored 21 goals in his 49 appearances last season. His excellent performance for the club gave him the opportunity to play for his own country.

According to the reports of Don Balon, Manchester United wants the striker and they need to pay £108 million if they want him in their team.

Edinson Cavani is yet to make his debut for Manchester United. He has completed his self-isolation and joined the practice with the team yesterday. He is very excited to make the debut.

“I am going to experience an exceptional moment, that nobody thought would happen. It will be an incredible thing, beautiful emotions.”, Cavani said.

“I had a lot of different opportunities, I was excited to play in the Premier League and even more so for Manchester United.”

“I am very motivated because I always want to play as much as possible, work, train and give the best of myself.”, he added.

Manchester United is full of young talent upfronts with the likes of Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, and many more. If they are able to land the Argentinian forward then it will be a great addition to the squad.

Liverpool could potentially be left with one fit senior centre-back in Joe Gomez, as Joel Matip is set to undergo scans on his latest muscle injury.

This news will come as a blow to the Reds who could already be without Virgil Van Dijk for almost the entirety of the season. The Dutch defender suffered damage to his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) after a challenge by Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford. And with him laid off for at least 8-9 months, the onus would lie on Matip and Gomez to form the central defensive partnership.

But, as they head into the preparations to play Ajax in their opening Champions’ League game at Anfield, it is possible that manager Jürgen Klopp plays Gomez and defensive midfielder Fabinho in the backline. Although Liverpool could still gain the requisite results from their upcoming games due to the fearful threat from Mane, Salah and Firmino combined with their attacking fullbacks in Robertson and Firmino. But, the defence would lack a certain dominance and authority to close out games when the going gets tough in such high quality matches.

This could now force the hand of the Liverpool board to bring in a new centre-back during the January winter transfer window.

The potential problem is how this injury news to Matip could impact Liverpool’s hopes of retaining the title and exploring wins in domestic and European cup competitions.

Only 6 minutes into one of the most highly anticipated Merseyside derbies in recent memory, Jordan Pickford executed a horrendous tackle on Liverpool’s Virgil Van Dijk that left the Dutch centre-back unable to carry on. 

The incident demanded a straight red card at the very least, if not a lengthy suspension for Pickford. Despite being pressed by Lucas Digne, Van Dijk had managed to penetrate deep into the penalty area.

One of the most dreaded injuries in the sport, it takes an immense amount of time and a painful road to recovery to come out on the other side.

Ronald Koeman confirms he wants Memphis Depay at Barcelona

A transfer that was heavily rumoured ever since the appointment of Ronald Koeman as Barcelona boss is now set to be completed in the winter transfer window at the earliest. 

Memphis Depay is the name that has attracted the most attention from the media, linking him to Barcelona to reunite with his former national team coach. After Koeman’s statement on the player, it seems only a matter of time before the reunion is complete.

According to the higher authorities at Lyon, Memphis Depay had agreed personal terms with Barcelona a long time ago. The Blaugrana were unable to sell enough to raise funds for the Dutchman, which is why Memphis is still playing his football at Lyon. 

Memphis is currently on the last year of his contract at Lyon, which is set to expire in July of next year. Lyon would be wise to not lose one of their most prized assets for free and to cash in on him in the winter.

Considering that the red and yellow club have managed to complete the signing of star forward Jeje Lalpekhlua from Chennaiyin FC and secure a loan move for Brisbane Roar right-back Scott Neville, the debut season promises to be very exciting for football fans all across the country. 

Maghoma is currently 32 and has a great amount of experience under his belt. The player primarily plays in left-midfield but can also hold the fort in the middle. 

The new signee rose through the ranks at the Tottenham Hotspur academy and was eventually sold to Burton Albion. He then joined Sheffield Wednesday in the 13/14 season before joining Birmingham City in the 15/16 season.

According to sources, the graphics accelerator in Exynos 9925 chip will use AMD technologies in order to achieve high performance.

Last year, Samsung and AMD entered into a multi-year agreement. According to it, the South Korean giant will have access to AMD’s RDNA graphics architecture to use it in their SoCs. This will allow the company to replace the Mali graphics with more powerful solutions in the future.

There is no update on the availability of the Exynos 9925 chipset nor the new of which the upcoming SoC will power the flagship device. But sources claim that, as of now, AMD graphics will be included in Exynos chipsets as early as 2022.

Speculations can be made that the chipsets will be announced by the end of 2021 but won’t see the light anytime. The new chipsets with powerful graphics may finally pave the way for Samsung to establish its hold in the mobile processor market.

In earlier days, during the June quarter, cybercriminals mostly use Google and Amazon’s names for phishing attacks. Later, in the quarter of September, it seems their interest shifts towards Microsoft. A report by Check Point is saying the same. Let you know; it’s a well-known cybersecurity firm.

As per the report, in the September quarter, Microsoft’s name was used in 19% of the phishing attacks done worldwide. Maybe that because of the reach of Microsoft. Besides, more number of enterprises and employees are using its products while working from home.

The attackers, mainly, send emails in Microsoft’s name so that the receivers click on their malicious links, which redirect users to a fake Microsoft login page. This process is widespread and widely practiced by cybercriminals.

Omer Dembinsky, the manager of data threat intelligence in Check Point said in a statement, “There are currently billions of people now working remotely, many of them doing so for the first time in their lives. Going deeper into stats, 44% of the phishing attacks were performed through emails, 43% through the web and 12% were mobile phishing. Microsoft’s name was used the most in both the email and web phishing attacks, whereas in mobile phishing, WhatsApp’s name was hackers’ first preference.
