The seventh edition of the Indian Super League is going to start from 20th November as defending champions ATK Mohun Bagan FC will take on Kerala Blasters FC.

The whole ISL 2020-21 season will take lace inside a bio-secure bubble in Goa due to the Coronavirus pandemic. All the matches will be played inside closed doors. Hence, ISL has introduced the ‘Fan Wall’ to take the fans closer to the game.

ISL has also partnered with Twitter to launch new hashtags and emojis to help the fan connect more with their teams. The fans can now use league and club-specific emojis.

Frank Lampard: “A manager gets 50 problems a day… but I love it and couldn’t live without it.”

Frank Lampard is one of the best midfielders of his generation. The Chelsea legend, who also played for Manchester City in the latter stage of his career has now turned out to be an exciting manager, managing his former club Chelsea.

During 13 years as a player at Chelsea, Lampard became their record goalscorer, winning three Premier League titles, four FA Cups and the Champions League.

The former England international started his managerial career with Derby County and was almost successful in promoting them to the Premier League but only fall short in the playoff.

Lampard then took on the reigns of Chelsea from Maurizio Sarri did a good job despite Chelsea facing a transfer ban. He promoted the youth and has got some really valuable players including the likes of Mason Mount, Recee James, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Tammy Abraham.

As, Chelsea’s transfer ban was lifted this summer, Lampard has done an excellent job with the recruitment part and is now building a team capable to fight for every trophy available.

Lampard’s Chelsea is now slowly becoming a force to reckon with in the Premier League. The once-a-successful player is now slowly going in the right path to becoming a successful manager.

Speaking to Eddie Hearn’s No Passion No Point podcast on BBC Sounds, Frank Lampard said he knew he risked damaging his legacy as a player at Chelsea by becoming the manager.

The 42-year-old said: “The life of a player is a bubble of selfishness to a degree. The facts and reality is I realise now it’s much harder than playing in terms of it being consuming,”

“The life of a manager is 25 people in the squad, staff in the building, problems with different departments. It’s so far removed from football.”

“When you work for your coaching badges, you have to put time in. Then when you start doing it, you have to practise, you have to fail, get better, fail and have relationships with people you never had as a player.”

“Players can easily sit there and say they want to be a manager, then they start the road and say: ‘Actually, I want to be a pundit.’ I respect it because being a pundit is tough as well but in terms of management I wanted to test the water.

“A manager gets 50 problems a day. It’s much more consuming but I love it and couldn’t live without it.“

Lampard admits he made “a lot of mistakes” and was “finding his feet” during his first year as a manager – at Derby County – before joining Chelsea in July 2019.

He added: “I can be really open that it helped me get the job – playing 13 years at the club helped me get the job,”

“I had to put my ego at the door a bit and say that I might ruin what I achieved in 13 years to a degree – because if it doesn’t go well, I will be judged harshly and quickly.”

“I am so driven personally that my biggest fear is myself. If I try to pull the wool over your eyes as Chelsea manager, it’s not going to work.”

“My football career put me in a decent position. So if that job is taken away from me, as long as I go in thinking ‘can I do the best job?’ then I think that if I have done the best I can, I will be pretty happy.”

TSMC gets approval to set-up its plant in Arizona

The trade dispute between China and the U.S. had a significant impact on semiconductor industries based in China. But due to dire circumstances, even the Taiwanese Semiconductor Manufacturing Company suffered a loss due to U.S. restrictions. Hence, it was forced to set up a fab factory on U.S. soil.

Recently the city officials of Pheonix, Arizona, approved the government support for the TSMC’s $12 billion chip plant. It is termed a step in bringing high-tech chip manufacturing firm to the U.S. Pheonix’s city will provide around $200 million to develop roads, sewers, and other infrastructure. Reports claim that at least one traffic light with a $500,000 will be included in the bill.

“We appreciate the continuous bipartisan support from the U.S. federal, state, and city governments. It gives TSMC and its supply chain partners the confidence this and other future investments will be successful,” stated TSMC’s officials.

TSMC establishing a manufacturing plant in the U.S. is very important to the country as TSMC is a major chip supplier to some of the biggest tech companies in the U.S., including Apple. The administration finds its disadvantages to having major of its technologies being manufactured outside its country. Hence, the fab of TSMC is very important to the U.S. Not to mention that it will create about 1,900 new jobs over five years.

“It is remarkable that this came to fruition during a pandemic. The payoff is huge. TSMC will create 1,900 high-tech jobs and foster thousands more related jobs in the semiconductor supply chain ecosystem,” stated a representative from Pheonix.

Apple will pay $113 million to 34 US states for throttling older iPhones

Apple is no stranger to facing lawsuits and getting sued. But, it’s rare for you to see the company issuing an apology. The last time it made such a public statement was in 2017. It was when the customers realized that it had been throttling the speed of older iPhones.

The Cupertino-based giant stated it was to protect those phones from aging batteries and then offered a $29 replacements for the showers. But it was slammed by a lawsuit and had to agree to pay $500 million of class action settlement.

Now it seems that the iPhone maker has to pay a second installment. It will have to pay it to 34 US states, and some will be $113 million. The attorney generals of 34 US states have sued Apple for hiding the throttling and battery degradation news from iPhone owners.

They argue that by concealing these issues, Apple wanted to spend a year profiting off of people. iPhone users thought they needed to buy a new iPhone, whereas they only really needed to replace their battery. By doing so, they could easily avoid throttling or unexpected shutdowns.

Of course, Apple has denied that and the settlement news means that the issue won’t be dragged to the court to determine whether there was any actual wrongdoing. The settlement (PDF) is not yet fully approved by a judge, but there’s still a chance that the states might see their money soon.

iPhone users had to apply for their $25 worth of the $500 million class-action settlement, but the process of payment is still underway. A fairness hearing is scheduled on December 4th, which will decide whether the settlement was handled properly or not.

The pandemic induced lockdown has forced many professions to move online and has increased their dependency on technology. The most noticeable impact was seen in education, and it resulted in both teachers and students adopting notebooks and Chromebooks for online teaching.

With the increase in demand for Chromebooks, most prominent players in the market are rushing to increase their profits. Recently, a new Chromebook by Google has made its appearance on Google Play Console. The last Chromebook model to be released by Google was the Pixelbook Go, powered by Intel. But the new Chromebook will be powered by AMD.

Google’s new Chromebook with AMD processor spotted online

According to sources, the new device will be powered by the AMD Ryzen 3 3250C. It is a dual-core processor that comes with four threads. It has a peak clock speed of 3.5 GHz. It will also feature a Radeon RX Vega 3 GPU along with 4 GB of RAM and a 1,920 x 1,080-pixel display resolution. The display will have a pixel density of 160 PPI. But the show will only be 13.7-inch with a 16:9 aspect ratio.

Google has dubbed the new Chromebook as the Zork. Over the months, Zork has been benchmarked on Geekbench with different processors like the Ryzen 7 3700C, the Athlon Gold 3150C, and the Athlon Silver 3050C. There are rumours of 8GB and 16GB models of the device, but Google has not clarified whether it will release all the models.
