Leicester to open contract talks with Tielemans; Eriksen stance revealed

After managing to qualify for the Europa League last season, Leicester City are pushing for a Champions League spot this season with the Foxes currently in fourth place in the Premier League table. In order to secure their future, the club are planning to open talks with midfield marshall Youri Tielemans for a contract extension. 

The Belgian has been a part of Brendan Rodgers’ team since moving to England in January 2019, originally on loan from Monaco before the transfer was made permanent at the beginning of the 19/20 season for a fee worth €45 million. 

He has since established himself as one of the first names on the team sheet and has contributed to 6 goals and 3 assists for the team in 30 appearances this season. Tielemans’ contract expires in 2023, and Leicester will have to do everything in their power to keep the player committed, given that he is one of the most talented young midfielders in the league. 

Elsewhere in the midfield, Leicester City’s rumours interest in Inter Milan’s Christian Eriksen has been confirmed to have been realistic by Fabrizio Romano on his Twitter page. The Foxes were trying to sign the Dane as cover for James Maddison but were unable to go through with the deal due to the heavy demands of the loaning club and the player’s hefty salary.

The Italian transfer insider has now tipped Leicester to be in the market for a new midfielder in the summer to add to their ranks and hope for a consistent finish high up the table.

Intel’s 16 core/24 thread Alder Lake-S CPU spotted again

Intel is all set to launch its Rocket Lake-S CPUs in the coming days, in the meantime, the speculation surrounding 12th Gen Alder Lake-S CPUs isn’t stopping soon. Intel already said at the CES 2021 that their 10nm based Alder Lake processor would be launching in H2 2021.

Even before that announcement, we already spotted a 16 core, 24 thread Alder Lake-S CPU on Geekbench. This will be a hybrid CPU architecture, as confirmed by Intel itself. A hybrid architecture is pretty economical in power consumption but is not highly rated enough to deliver expected boost clocks.

Intel Alder Lake-S sports the smaller Gracemont (GRT) cores and the big cores of Golden Cove (GLC). The smaller cores are the successor of Tremont, while the bigger ones are successors of Willow Coves. The Alder Lake-S will have up to 8 GLC and 8 GRT cores; however, hyperthreading will be offered only in GLC cores.

So this repeatedly spotted 16 core Alder Lake-S CPU comprises of 8 big Golden Cove cores & 16 threads (i.e. hyperthreading enabled) and 8 Gracemont cores & 8 threads (i.e. no hyperthreading). the base clock speed is 2.2 GHz and L2 cache of total 12.5 MB while the L3 cache is 30 MB.

Although the boost frequency is seen to be 27.2 GHz, it is obviously an error and it could be either a multiplication of 8 or 10. So, as Videocardz points out, the CPU could possibly have a boost frequency of 2.7 to 3.4 GHz. It posts a score of 6536 points in single-core and 47870 points in multi-core benchmarks of Geekbench 4.

The Core i9-10900K in the multi-core benchmark is slower than the Alder Lake-S CPU but leads in single-core with 6720 points. Obviously, this is an engineering sample which is not even in its ES2 phase, so with days it should get even better and come with more frequency, while its launch slated at the end of 2021.

A young Portuguese boy by the name of Tomas was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a very rare form of cancer in September 2019 and suffered a relapse a year later, in October 2020. His parents put out a message urging anybody who had the means to possibly donate to Tomas’ treatment to come forth. 

The message was subsequently shared by Georgina Rodriguez’s sister Ivana on Instagram, and Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner have since been confirmed to have helped fund the young boy’s treatment. 

Tomas’ parents have provided an update on the situation, thanking Cristiano and Georgina for their generosity towards the cause and saying that Tomas is currently undergoing tests in Barcelona at the d’Hebron Hospital.

“Thank you Georgina and Cristiano for your help, solidarity and great heart.

Infinite thanks for helping us so that Tomas can access treatment,” read the message released by Tomas’ parents.

Take-Two Interactive, the publisher of GTA V has announced that the game has exceeded 140 million units. Despite having been released seven years ago, the game from Rockstar keeps selling exceptionally well and the last year was the best-selling year for GTA V from 2013.

Straus Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive has confirmed the sales numbers on a call of the publisher’s most recent earnings.

“In the history of the entertainment industry, there’s perhaps no experience that’s more loved, more expansive, more critically acclaimed, and more successful than Rockstar Games Grand Theft Auto”, the CEO said. “Grand Theft Auto V remains one of the most iconic titles ever released and continues to exceed our expectations, having sold in over 140 million units. In fact, in calendar 2020, more copies of Grand Theft Auto V were sold than in any other year except for 2013 when it first launched on PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.”

These numbers are very impressive for GTA V. Meanwhile, the next-gen versions for Xbox Series X|S and PS5 going to release in the second half of 2021. The next-gen version of the GTA V release was mentioned by Zelnick on the call.

“In addition, during the second half of calendar 2021, Rockstar Games will bring the blockbuster hit Grand Theft Auto V to the latest generation of consoles. The new version will feature a range of technical improvements, visual upgrades and performance enhancements to take full advantage of the latest hardware making the game more beautiful and more responsive than ever.”

Nubia, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, is expected to launch its next smartphone very soon. This can be in the form of Red Magic 6. The previous version of this series, Red Magic 5, had a cooling fan at the center of the phone. One thing we can take for a given is that the new version of the smartphone series will have an even better cooling fan system. 

Ni Fei is the current brand manager of Nubia and the President of Mobile Devices at ZTE. He updated on Weibo about Red Magic 6. He stated that the upcoming handset will have a completely revamped cooling system. He promised that the new smartphone will offer users a “strengthened” fan. This is of a huge benefit for users, especially for those, who use their smartphones for a lot of gaming experience. Also, you will be able to tap the phone’s movement with the aid of a nine-axis spatial sensor.

India’s one of the best-known faces in the car rallying world is Gaurav Gill, who by winning the FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship (APRC) in 2013 established himself on the international stage. He repeated the victory in 2016 and 2017 driving in the Indian outfit, with Team MRF.

He also tried his hands at the WRC 2 category, one rung below the elite level of rallying. He completed the National Road Racing Championship as second, in 2003 before he went for better the following year. Santhosh and Aravind are inspirations to the new crop of off-roaders, who have been competing in some of the toughest rallies across the world.
