Asus and Tencent Games have partnered in the making of the upcoming Asus ROG Phone 3 and will unveil the device in China in July as announced by both the companies in Weibo. Asus has not revealed any specific date of the month but is anticipated to launch in the middle of it. Tencent Games has also customized a version of this device just like the previous ROG Phone 2.
This poster is officially released by the brand in their Weibo account and it mentions nothing but the launch month. According to reports, Tencent Games is partnering with the Republic of Gamers to provide “in-depth cooperation” and will focus on “optimizing the performance of game content on the hardware” to “create a game experience, closer to the player”, just like a previous year as they have customized several games of them to play especially for ROG devices.
To recall, the ROG Phone 2 came with an exclusive gaming experience created by Tencent. Asus also partnered with Tencent to bring a few optimized games to take advantage of the 120Hz display. There is no such official news on its specifications yet, but we do know that it will feature the latest Snapdragon 865 SoC and may have 144Hz display with triple rear camera setup and almost the same design as the ROG Phone 2.
According to the rumor, ROG Phone 3 will sport a 6.59-inch FHD+ OLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and will be powered by a Snapdragon 865 chipset. Here we suspect that the main Kryo 585 core is the one that’s going to be clocked at 3.09 GHz as opposed to the 2.84 GHz clock on the standard version of the CPU. It will also pack a whopping 16GB of RAM and a massive 6,000 mAh battery capable of 30W fast charging.
We have seen that a smartphone resembling the ROG Phone 3 has got China’s 3C certification a few days back.
The world No. 1 tennis star Novak Djokovic organised a four-stage charity event hosted in Zadar, Croatia named ‘Adria Tour‘.
The final was scheduled in Zadar last weekend but was cancelled after Grigor Dimitrov’s tested positive for Coronavirus. The event has been full of controversies as there were no measures taken to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
Now, Novak Djokovic and his wife Jelena both have been tested positive for COVID-19. Djokovic said in a statement: “The moment we arrived in Belgrade we went to be tested. My result is positive, just as Jelena’s, while the results of our children are negative.”
Viktor Troicki said on Tuesday that he and his pregnant wife have both been diagnosed with the virus. Grigor Dimitrov tested positive before the finals due to which it was cancelled. Borna Coric played Dimitrov on Saturday in Zadar and he was also tested positive on Monday.
Djokovic has been put under criticism for organising such an event without taking any measures for the Coronavirus. The Adria Tour has been deemed as the hotspot for COVID-19. But, he has defended the idea of hosting the exhibition series.
He told: “It was all born with a philanthropic idea, to direct all raised funds towards people in need and it warmed my heart to see how everybody strongly responded to this.”
“We organized the tournament at the moment when the virus has weakened, believing that the conditions for hosting the Tour had been met. Unfortunately, this virus is still present, and it is a new reality that we are still learning to cope and live with.”
“I am hoping things will ease with time so we can all resume lives the way they were. I am extremely sorry for each individual case of infection. I hope that it will not complicate anyone’s health situation and that everyone will be fine.”
The Serbian star will now remain in self-isolation for the next 14 days and will have another test within 5 days. He has apologised to everyone who has been infected during this charity tournament.

Pete Lau was VP of OPPO and he departed from the company to form another smartphone firm, OnePlus backed by BBK Electronics who owns Oppo, Vivo and Realme. As a founder and Chief executive officer of OnePlus, Pete Lau made the company into probably the most famous smartphone brands at a short span of time.
Now, there are rumours surrounding his return to OPPO but Pete Lau will retain his existing role as OnePlus too. While continuing to the Chief Executive Officer of OnePlus, Pete Lau will join OPPO as the main product Expertise Officer. In this new role in OPPO, Pete Lau has been said to be accountable for merchandise planning as well as development.
The news comes only months after it was declared that VP of OPPO, Shen Yiren announced his departure from the business, who was accountable for marketing. It’ll be intriguing to see how Pete Lau reshuffles and takes over the business, if it’s true, given that both OnePlus and OPPO have a different kind of approach. While OnePlus is focused on online retail, OPPO gaining its prominence throughout offline earnings.
Another thing to note apart from marketing is that OPPO has a different kind of product line, varying from entry-level to premium flagships. While OnePlus who had been making “so-called” flagship killer smartphones is now making only flagship smartphones with the new OnePlus 8 series.
The leadership change also comes as the performance of OPPO is falling although the brand is still among the leading smartphones firms globally. In Q1 2020, for instance, OPPO’s market share dipped by 1% when compared to the previous quarter, it declined by 3% compared to the identical period last year.
OPPO is the 5th largest smartphone brand globally with a market share of 8%. In Q1 2020 alone, the company was able to ship 22.3 million units of its mobile phones, and this is quite lower compared to 31.4 million units in Q4 2019, obviously the COVID-19 pandemic is one of the major reasons for such downfall.
Kiren Rijiju, Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports had a digital meeting with representatives of the Indian Olympic Association and 15 National Federations to discuss the way ahead for the 15 sports disciplines with regards to the training of athletes, participation in national and international competitions and organising sporting events in India.
The meeting was attended by the President of the Indian Olympic Association Narinder Dhruv Batra, the Sports Secretary Ravi Mital, the General Manager of SAI Sandip Pradhan, the General Secretary of the Indian Olympic Association Rajeev Mehta along with Presidents and Secretary Generals of Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Boxing, Cycling, Fencing, Football, Cricket, Hockey, Judo, Shooting, Swimming, Tennis table, Weightlifting and Wrestling.
The Sports Minister spoke about the importance of the meeting. He told: “We are in the first phase of Unlock and as a country, we are slowly adapting to the present situation and therefore the time is right to slowly open up sports while following safety protocols. Since federations are best qualified to decide the way forward for each sport, the ministry would like to get ideas from federations.”
“Their ideas will be the key in planning India”s post COVID-19 strategy in sports. After today’s meeting, the Sports Ministry will review all the ideas and work in tandem with federations to open up sports. I feel from August onwards we should be able to start some sporting events as well.”
The Sports Minister has urged all federations to speak to league managers and propose a few events that can be organised in each sport, from August onwards.
He further added: “Given the situation, we have to be innovative about events. We may need to hold smaller events in stadiums and not have spectators. But we can surely try and beam the sports on television channels and social media platforms. The resumption of sporting events will boost the confidence of our athletes and also create an atmosphere of normalcy in these trying times. We can plan some events from August onwards.”
Narinder Dhruv Batra, IOA President said that the ACTC has to be kept flexible this season so that decisions can be taken depending on the changing scenario.
Among the important points discussed at the meeting, it was suggested from the ministry that federations would submit an interim Annual Competition and Training Calendar ACTC) to start the training of Olympic bound athletes in a phased way. The same might be assessed when the calendar of the international competitions is released by the respective international federations.

We all know that Qualcomm will be announcing its Snapdragon 875 next-generation flagship mobile chipset at the end of this year based on 5nm process. In addition to this, it appears that COVID-19 hasn’t influenced the organization’s plan and what appears to be on schedule, thanks to TSMC.
New reports suggest that the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company has officially entered the production stage of these 5nm process nodes, which will also be seen on Apple’s next A14 Bionic chip and it will also be provided by TSMC. For modem, it comprises the Snapdragon X60 5G modem, which will also be used by Apple in its upcoming chipset to bring 5G support to iPhones.
When compared to last month, the capacity of the 5nm chips in the Nanke 18 factory was increased by 10% to almost 60, 000 units in one month. According to to the industry estimates, Qualcomm is now investing 6,000 to 10,000 5nm wafers a month at TSMC. This shows how ambitious Qualcomm is to get the Snapdragon 875 chips available by the start of next year.
Some estimates have even indicated that Qualcomm might deliver the Snapdragon 875 chipset around September. However, this claim remains to be seen when the company starts giving them to smartphone manufacturers.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 will come with a “1+3+4” triple cluster architecture which suggests that there will be one super core + three large cores + four energy-efficient cores. Probably, the configuration will consist 1 x high performance Cortex-X1 core + 3 x Cortex-A78 cores + 4 x energy-efficient Cortex-A55 cores.
On the other hand, Samsung is likely to begin mass production of the 5nm based Exynos 992 chipset from August this year. Off late, even ZTE has revealed that it will be launching it’s 5nm based chips and that its 7nm chip is currently in production.
Tipster Sudhanshu has added some new information with the Helio G35 chipset confirmation in the upcoming smartphone from Realme. The exact camera details have not been revealed still but the tipster found that there will be a 13MP main sensor around the back in the dual-camera setup. Rear cameras will be able to shoot in Super Nightscape mode. The front camera details are also not known.
The Helio G35 chipset will be paired with a 2GB RAM and a 32GB memory. There is no mention of other storage options till now. A triple card slot will help to expand the memory. The phone will be powered with a 5,000mAh battery and may come with fast charging.
There is no official news on the launch of this smartphone, but as it had briefly appeared on Realme’s official website so we can conclude that the launch is around the corner. The launch may happen within a week or it can be a surprise launch with the Realme X3 series that will be launched on June 25.
There is news roaming on the internet saying India’s National Informatics Center (NIC) has banned all the Chinese apps throughout the country. After knowing it, the Indian Press Information Bureau twitted regarding this and mentioned the news is fully fake.
In the twit, PIB said, “Claim: A virtual message of an order allegedly from NIC claims that @Gol_Meity has prohibited some apps from being made available on App Stores. #PIBFactCheck: The Order is #Fake. No such instruction has been given by @Gol_MeitY or NIC.”

The fake news stated that the Indian government asked Google and Apple to remove the Chinese apps from their individual application stores. As per the rumor, the apps could “compromise the sovereignty of the country.”
The app list that said are going to ban has the popular names like LiveMe, Bigo Live, CamScanner, TikTok, Vigo Video, Beauty Plus, Club Factory, Clash of Kings, Mobile Legends, Shein, Applock, Vmate, Romwe, and Game of Sultans.
While border issues with China are at its pick, this kind of fake news can disturb common people’s mentality badly. These negative effects bring positivity for some apps like Mitron, Remove China Apps, and Made in India barcode scanner. Though the first two are removed from the Google Play Store, that’s a separate issue.
It was coming and finally, Tim Cook announces that Apple will be switching from Intel to its own Apple Silicon using ARM architecture. Quoting Tim as he said, “At Apple, integrating hardware and software is at the heart of what we do.”
So, now even though the transition will take two whole years but this ultimately help Apple to build its ecosystem all of its own designed hardware. Also, Apple’s advancements throughout the past few years has made its own chips even more powerful than Intel and benchmarks are a proof of it.
As previously I mentioned in my earlier articles, Apple’s A12Z Bionic chip used in iPad Pro is even more powerful than a 10th Gen Core i3 Intel CPU used in the MacBook Air. So, why not choose ARM-based chips instead? The ARM processors will offer higher efficiency and performance to the Mac for a better future, especially being built on the latest TSMC nodes, used by AMD as well.
New Apple Chip
Johny Srouji, Senior Vice President of Hardware Technologies, went on to talk about the new Mac chips and told this effort has been in progress for a long time now. Srouji even talked about the relentless focus on performance-per-watt and how the CPU performance in iPhone has improved 100x since A series chips launched.
Also, keeping in mind the graphics, iPad X-chips will have faster graphics, the latest iPad chip has 1,000x faster graphics than the first iPad chip. There are 2 billion Apple chips shipped so far, and Apple wants to match desktop-level performance with lower power consumption. Apple will be adding advanced power management, secure enclave, high-performing GPU to every Mac, as well as a neural engine, ML system, etc.
Software support
Coming to the software front, the macOS Big Sur will “make the transition seamless.” So, switching to ARM will allow iOS apps to run natively on the Mac as well. The Macs will be able to run both the iOS and iPadOS apps without any modifications. The good news is that all of Apple’s native Mac apps are already updated to run on ARM as the entire macOS Big Sur demo was done on a Mac running an A12Z processor.
All of the Apple apps, including the Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro, will run natively on ARM. The developers, on the other hand, can get started on making their existing software compatible using Xcode 12 beta, that includes native compilers and debugging tools. Open projects and recompile, it will take a couple of days to rework and deliver Universal 2 binaries.
Even Microsoft is working on Office, and Apple is working with Adobe on Creative Cloud, many apps are already in work to make the transition seamless. Apple is even demoing PowerPoint with the new ARM-based macOS.
Adobe is already heavily participating alongside Apple, as Lightroom CC will also support on macOS, most probably because of its native support in iOS. Adobe Photoshop too was shown to be working on new ARM-based macOS.
No words on Premier Pro but Apple shows its Final Cut Pro working and playing back 4K video on the new Mac. You can zoom in and out of photos and play 4K video with effects which is quite familiar with iPad, so no issues now with support to new macOS.
Rosetta 2
The macOS Big Sur will include Rosetta 2, Apple previously used the Rosetta feature when the Mac transitioned from PowerPC to Intel, now it will automatically translate Intel apps to Apple silicon at install time. It can translate on the fly for JavaScript and Java, the feature can even work with pro apps and their plugins. Also, there will be support for new virtualization environments for Linux, Docker, etc.
Andreas Wendker even went to demo Rosetta using Maya animation software on an ARM-based macOS and worked fine. He also showed triple-A games running on new Mac with Apple chip including Shadow of the Tomb Raider at 1080p and it also worked flawlessly, which is incredible for an Apple chip to deliver.
iOS & iPad apps will run on macOS
Interestingly, if you cannot wait for your favourite iOS or iPadOS apps to make the transition to the new macOS for the Apple Chip, you Mac can run iPhone and iPad apps easily, natively, completely unmodified. The iPhone and iPad apps can be used right from the Mac App Store.
Quick Start Program for Developers
To help developers going right away with the new ARM-based macOS, Apple has announced a quick start program to help developers make universal apps. This Quick Start program for developers will provide them with the documentation, sample code, and access to hands-on labs around the globe.
Developers also get access to the Developer Transition Kit that comprises of a Mac Mini running on Apple A12Z chipset, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD. This kit will run the latest macOS Big Sur developer beta to help developers start helping Apple for this transition.
