The public can now view updated retail listings, including prices, of Nvidia’s new GeForce RTX 4090 AIB partner cards through the Spanish shop Coolmod (via El Chapuzas Informatico). The listings should be treated with caution because they could be stand-ins. Unfortunately, it appears that a 21% VAT (Value Added Tax) will be applied to the majority of consumer goods in Spain, raising the GeForce RTX 4090’s $1,599 MSRP to close to $2,000 on some models and over $2,000 on others.

Five models from Coolmod were on display, each with a variety of Zotac and Galax RTX 4090 graphics cards. Three new models from Zotac, including the RTX 4090 Trinity ($1,930), the Trinity OC ($1,968), and the enthusiast-built RTX 4090 AMP Extreme Airo ($2,017), grab three of the five slots.

The next two cards are both from Galax, and they are the factory overclocked KFA2 RTX 4090 SG, which costs $2,067, and the KFA2 RTX 4090 ST, which is the least expensive RTX 4090 of the group

Value Added Tax (VAT) of 21% in Spain is the cause of these absurdly high costs for non-food and non-medical consumer products. The MSRP of the RTX 4090 rises as a result from $1,599 to $1,934. Prices for Coolmod’s listings are 25% more expensive than MSRP because of these other issues.

Not only does Spain have similar problems; Germany, where the current VAT rate is 19%, is also experiencing a recurrence of this issue. German RTX 40-series costs have increased by 22%.

Nvidia’s MSRP of $1,599 for consumers in these heavily taxed environments takes on a whole new meaning and turns into a serious issue. In addition to raising the MSRP of the RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 by several hundred dollars, depending on the model, Nvidia. Furthermore, when taxes like VAT are applied to the goods, Nvidia’s price increases become astronomically worse. For instance, the price of the RTX 4090 increases by an additional $126 to $336 over MSRP as opposed to an RTX 3090 at USD 999.99 costing “only” $210 more in Spain.

How Much England Will Miss Jonny Bairstow At The T20 World Cup?

The England cricket team recently confirmed that their star batter, Jonny Bairstow, will be missing the upcoming third Test match against South Africa, and then the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia during October-November, since he injured his lower limb while playing golf in Leeds.

Bairstow posted on his Instagram handle that he sustained an injury after he slipped on the golf course and that he would have to undergo an operation.

“Jonny has obviously already made it to the top but it’s so sad that a brilliant year for him ends like this,” England’s ex-cricketer Kevin Pietersen said on Satta site Betway.

Hours after Jonny Bairstow’s name was declared in the World Cup T20 squad by the England and Wales Cricket Board, he had to be ruled out of the remaining of the summer due to this freak injury. “England and Yorkshire batter Jonathan Bairstow has been ruled out of the rest of the summer and the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Bairstow sustained a lower limb injury in a freak accident whilst playing golf on Friday in Leeds,” the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced in their statement.

In their official statement, ECB also said, “Bairstow sustained a lower limb injury in a freak accident whilst playing golf on Friday in Leeds. He will see a specialist next week to ascertain the full extent of the injury”. They also added that Ben Duckett will be considered in the Test cricket team for the 3rd Test match against team South Africa. 

How Much England Will Miss Jonny Bairstow At The T20 World Cup?

Now, while Ben Duckett has been included in team England for the 3rd Test tournament against South Africa, no player replacement has been announced as yet for the World Cup squad. The ECB mentioned that the player who will be replacing Bairstow for the World Cup T20 tournament would be declared at a later date.

Jonny Bairstow has also not been included in the England squad that is meant to play in the 7-match T20 International series in Pakistan during September-October. With captain of the squad Jos Buttler recovering from an injury in the calf muscles, Moeen Ali was declared to be the captain for this significant tour of Pakistan. However, both Jonny Bairstow and Jos Buttler were included in the 15-player team that is supposed to play in the World Cup T20. 

In the meantime, Bairstow took to his social media handle to explain the sequence of events that resulted in this freak injury. The England and Wales Cricket Board said that Bairstow will visit a specialist doctor so that the total extent of his limb injury can be assessed and treatment started. He said that he was shattered since he would be missing the World Cup tournament scheduled to be held in Australia later this year. 

This is what Bairstow said in his Instagram story, “Unfortunately, I am going to be unavailable for all the games/tours in the immediate future. The reason being is that I have injured my lower leg in a freak accident and it shall need an operation. The injury came when I slipped on the golf course this morning. …Absolutely gutted! I will be back… Jonathan Marc”.

Speaking at the Public Affairs Forum of India’s (PAFI) 9th Annual Forum 2022, Mr Chandrashekhar started his address by saying that “The present government’s policies have been, and are being, framed with deep structural changes,” and said, “this is a once in a lifetime chance to take the Indian economy up to $1 trillion.”

The Minister of State continued by saying that this growth has to be planned in an orderly fashion and said, “I had recently visited a ₹1,000-crore Lithium-ion battery manufacturing unit in Tirupati set up by an entrepreneur who had no prior knowledge in electronics manufacturing.” This, Mr Chandrashekhar said, showed how from being exporters of raw materials such as Lithium, India was now manufacturing and exporting products. 

In his welcome address, Mr Harish Krishnan, Former President and Founder, Public Affairs Forum of India (PAFI), MD and Chief Policy Officer, Cisco India and SAARC said, “The 9th PAFI Forum has been a tremendous success and the goal of India becoming a $37 billion economy by 2047 looks very doable.”

Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 FE PCB explained

On Wednesday, Nvidia released some of the unique features of its new GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card as well as the printed circuit board (PCB) design. In order to assure optimum power supply to the GPU and maximise its overclocking potential, it turns out that the business entirely reworked the card’s voltage regulating module (VRM) by adding a PID controller with a feedback loop.

The GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition graphics card from Nvidia is similar to its predecessor when fully built because it still has a robust dual-fan cooling system with a unibody design. However, the new product has a number of noticeable exterior and, more crucially, internal modifications.

The new GeForce RTX 4090 FE, like earlier generations of Founders Edition graphics cards, utilises a highly advanced yet small PCB with a triangular cut on its back that is intended to increase the effectiveness of Nvidia’s flow through thermal design.

The PCB contains a single 12+4-pin 12VHPWR extra PCIe Gen5 power connector that can supply up to 600W of power to the component, while the GeForce RTX 4090 FE from Nvidia is only capable of drawing 450W at the factory settings. The board also contains a 20+3-phase VRM (20 phases for the GPU and 3 phases for memory), which is a modest improvement over the GeForce RTX 3090/3090 Ti FE’s 18+3-phase power circuitry.

In order to lessen current peaks and valleys, Nvidia installed a PID controller with a feedback loop, effectively regulating power delivery to its GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition graphics card, according to TechPowerUp. Without providing an exact number, Nvidia claims that their new VRM provides a significantly faster power management response time. For stability under heavy loads and overclocked conditions, a reliable and clean power supply is essential. 

This function, which the environmentally friendly business refers to as “power transient management,” may be one of the ways it is able to overclock the AD102 graphics processor to 3 GHz without overvolting it or employing aggressive cooling techniques.

With the GeForce RTX 4090 FE, Nvidia not only redesigned power supply, but also improved the cooling system with larger fans that can move up to 20% more air. The new GDDR6X memory chips used in this card are also less power-hungry. We can only assume as to how the power consumption of DRAMs with PAM-4 signalings was decreased, but we propose that Micron makes these chips using a thinner production method, which naturally reduces their power consumption. Furthermore, with cooler memory, the cooling system will be able to overclock the GPU more effectively.

Disney’s most awaited animated show got a new trailer and poster titled, ‘Strange World’. Hailing from Walt Disney Animation Studios, the sci-fi animation follows a family of great explorers, the Clades. Now, we will say that jointly we will come to that uncharted and dangerous land. They have been joined by the team that contains such a strange blob; in this, we will see a three-legged dog with other ravenous creatures. The director Don Hell said, “Inspired by a classic adventure story.”

In order to explore collaboration with regional partners, Lisa Su, AMD’s CEO, and other corporate C-level executives want to travel to Taiwan in late September or early November. The management of AMD plans to meet with major PC manufacturers, chip packaging experts, and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co.

During her visit, Lisa Su intends to talk about potential future collaboration with TSMC’s CEO, CC Wei. The use of TSMC’s “N3 Plus” fabrication node (likely N3P) and N2 (2nm-class) production technology is one of the subjects, according to sources with knowledge of the situation, according to DigiTimes. The chief executives of the two companies will also talk about plans for new orders, including technology that are either already accessible or will be in the near future.

The excellent success that AMD has experienced recently is largely due to TSMC’s capacity to manufacture chips in large quantities utilising its fiercely competitive process technology

AMD must assure adequate allocation at TSMC and early access to the foundry’s most recent process design kits if it is to continue its streak of roaring success (PDK). Future success of AMD will be dependent on modern chip packing technologies as well as advanced TSMC semiconductor manufacturing technologies since the company (like other chip designers) will heavily rely on multi-chiplet chip packaging technologies.

Therefore, Lisa Su from AMD will also talk about their partnership with TSMC, Ase Technology, and SPIL for innovative packaging. According to DigiTimes, AMD now employs TSMC’s 3D SoIC (system on integrated chips) platform, including CoWoS (chip on wafer on substrate) packaging technology and Ase’s fan-out embedded bridge (FO-EB) packaging technique, for certain of its products. However, when novel packaging becomes more widely used over time, AMD will need to negotiate pricing and allocation well in advance.

Along with discussing longer-term plans, AMD’s C-level executives will also talk about more practical issues, such as how to get the advanced printed circuit boards (PCBs) needed for its CPUs, which is one of the things limiting AMD server CPU shipments, as well as how to get Ajinomoto build-up films (ABF) for these PCBs from partners like Unimicron Technology, Nan Ya PCB, and Kinsus Interconnect Technology.

The executives of AMD will also meet with ASMedia, which creates chipsets for the red firm, and Asus and Acer, two sizable Taiwanese PC manufacturers with strong ties to the American chip designers.
