November 2022 sees a 30% YoY increase in the Indian car market, Maruti Suzuki continues to dominate

The positiveness in the Indian car market continues as we see a whopping 30.92% increase in overall car sales in November 2022 when compare to the same last year. This goes to show a very positive sign for car makers because India seems to have completely revived from the COVID-19 outbreak and lockdown.

November 2022 – A great month for automakers in India

Also, a lot of experts believe those lockdowns have fueled the Indian people to go for their personal vehicles which have again boosted the Indian car market. In the month of November 2022, there were around 3,20,564 cars delivered to customers and almost all the major OEMs enjoyed a healthy increase in overall car sales.

Now, if you see the results closely you will see Maruti Suzuki remains the undisputed leader even in November 2022 with a gigantic 41.30% market share and a growth of 20.66% YoY for overall car sales. However, its market share is decreasing as a whole if compared to previously because of a number of players in the market alongside the uprising of Tata Motors and Mahindra Automotive.

Both these Indian car brands have commanded a 23% market share, which is impressive and goes to show their demand in the market. The South Korean giant Hyundai and its sister Kia easily make it into the top 5 list commanding a total market share of 22%, impressive numbers though.

November 2022 Toyota

Other brands like Honda, Renault, Skoda, MG Motors and others have enjoyed significant uplift in car sales compared to the same last years. However, things aren’t looking good for Toyota and Nissan, but we expect Toyota’s market share to get better with the newly launched Innova Hybrid and Urban Cruiser Hyryder.

What do you feel about the uprising of Indian car sales in November 2022 and the market as a whole? Do let us know in the comments below…😁

Brazil will be without Gabriel Jesus and Alex Telles for the rest of the 2022 World Cup

0

Brazil will be without Gabriel Jesus and Alex Telles for the remainder of the 2022 World Cup, after the pair sustained injuries. Their absence has been confirmed, and they will play no further part in the tournament for the national team as they won’t be able to recover in time.

The Arsenal striker complained of pain in his knee after the game against Cameroon, and will not be able to play until January.

Brazil to miss Gabriel Jesus and Alex Telles for rest of World Cup

Telles also sustained an injury in the game against Cameroon, and will not be fit in time to contribute any further. As a result, it is a big blow to Tite’s squad, trimming their depth, which was one of their many advantages.

However, Richarlison has performed remarkably in the centre-forward role, keeping Gabriel Jesus on the bench until the last game against Cameroon. Alex Sandro has also been the first-choice for Tite at left-back, which softens the blow to a degree.

But to lose two quality players will always be difficult for any squad to deal with. And Brazil are no exception to that. What remains to be seen now is whether they can go forth despite missing two important players.

Netherlands 3-1 USA: Dumfries shines as the Dutch set up QF clash with Argentina

0

The Netherlands defeated the USA 3-1 in their World Cup Round of 16 game to earn a spot in the quarter finals. The Oranje are unbeaten in their last 19 games since June 2021, which excludes World Cup shootouts.

The USMNT were ambitious to take the fight to their opponents, but Memphis Depay scored early to dampen their hopes. A resolute defence from them allowed the USA little opportunities to break through.

Netherlands through to the Quarter Finals of the World Cup

Memphis Depay scored after a sequence of 20 uninterrupted passes for the Dutch, their highest ever tally leading up to a goal at the World Cup. And with the strike, he has become the second-highest scorer for his country behind only Robin Van Persie.

Denzel Dumfries had a very impressive game, assisting two goals before scoring the third for the Netherlands. He was awarded the man of the match trophy as a result, and fully deserved it for the work he put in.

The USA thought they had a lifeline after Haji Wright’s spiffed tap-in found the back of the net. But, Dumfries ensured that there was no way back, with a 81st minute strike to seal the win. The Netherlands will now face Argentina in the quarter finals of the World Cup, in probably their most difficult fixture yet.

AMD gains significant market share in November as per Steam Hardware Survey

0

AMD has been losing market share to Intel in the Steam Hardware Survey data off late until October but suddenly in November 2022, things drastically changed for Team Red. As you see AMD now boasts a 33.35% PC processor market share while Intel gets 66.65%, which is a huge turnaround of around 3% in a month.

AMD gains significant market share as per Steam Hardware Survey

We can assume this to be a major impact on AMD’s new Ryzen 7000 desktop processors which are being received quite well by consumers after the price cut. So, people are flocking to the new AM5 platform, which for now costs more, but will give a better upgradability path down the years.

Also, thanks to the reduced pricing, the price-to-performance ratio of these Ryzen chips has gone up significantly which has again urged new gamers or existing ones to go for these high-performing chips based on 5nm. On top of that, AMD has also cut prices of its existing Ryzen 5000 series to appeal to gamers who do not want to spend much, also with lower costs of the AM4 platform, people are enjoying on both sides.

AMD gains significant market share in November as per Steam Hardware Survey

Considering the fact most PC gamers are Windows users, as you see in the breakup of the PC processor share in November 2022 by Steam Hardware Survey, you will see the team Red has gained almost 4% share while the team Blue lost the same. A lot of older Intel chips have been replaced as you see in the graph and AMD has kept increasing its market share across all varieties of PC processors.

Overall, while we expect a great tussle between Intel and AMD in these upcoming months, team Red has an edge because of its price and a new platform while Intel is looking stronger than ever in terms of its product portfolio.

Argentina 2-1 Australia: Messi scores in 1000th game alongside Alvarez to seal QF spot

0

Argentina are through to the quarter finals of the World Cup with a 2-1 win over Australia in their Round of 16 fixture. Goals from Lionel Messi and Julian Alvarez helped the South American side dispatch their opponents, and set up a meeting with the Netherlands, who have also made it to the last eight.

It was yet another relentless attacking display from Lionel Scaloni’s men, who denied the Socceroos a smooth attacking outlet. And a brilliant final save from Emi Martinez denied Garang Kuol the equaliser at the death, eliminating further complication.

Argentina through to World Cup QF after defeating Australia

Lionel Messi played the 1000th game of his legendary career last night, and he marked the occasion with a well taken goal. With that, he has become one of the joint-top scorers in the 2022 World Cup with three goals to his name.

He has surpassed Diego Maradona (8), and is now one goal behind Gabriel Batistuta (10) as Argentina’s highest world cup scorer.

Alvarez was able to score his second World Cup goal after forcing the opposition goalkeeper into an error, spoofing a clearance. Australia thought they had a late lifeline when Craig Goodwin’s deflected effort found the back of the net. But, it wasn’t enough to stop the Albiceleste from going through.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 ‘Ampere’ Second-hand GPUs prices increased by up to 200% in the market

0

The market for old GPUs has been swamped almost a month after Ethereum’s Proof-of-stake consensus mechanism became live. NVIDIARTX 3060s were available for as little as $99, and if you were ready to accept the risk that the GPU may fail after a few months, there were some truly sweet discounts to be had. This has led considerably to one of the most significant reductions in first-hand discrete GPU sales since 2009. However, it appears that the supply of used GPUs is running out.

An NVIDIA RTX 3060 could be purchased for $150 (November 4, 2022), and an NVIDIA RTX 3080 Ti for as little as $369 (November 7, 2022).

Since the GPU meltdown a few months ago, when an NVIDIA RTX 3060 could be purchased for just $99, most likely directly from a Chinese crypto-mine, these costs have been steadily rising.

However, beginning November 4, the Ampere series’ prices have soared by 200% in just 26 days. An NVIDIA RTX 3060 (used) is selling for $300, and an NVIDIA RTX 3080 Ti (used) is close to $800 as of November 30th, as the supply of units that are still for sale has totally dried up. These GPUs now cost considerably more, with the NVIDIA RTX 3080 Ti reaching $1200. Similar to the price increases experienced during the crypto bubble, there has been an exceptionally fast increase in price in a very short period of time.

There might be several reasons, and in practise, all of these factors will probably be present. First, it’s crucial to distinguish between new and secondhand stock. Ampere graphics cards, all of which were completely new, were present in significant quantities in supply chain warehouses. Additionally, there were plenty of pre-mined and used Ampere GPUs flooding the market, which, in theory, should have meant that there were many times more of them available than there were brand-new GPUs in storage facilities.

Another possible explanation is that speculators and scalpers have been purchasing inexpensive used GPUs in large quantities from miners and reselling them for greater prices. In other words, profit-taking is to blame for the lack of used GPUs for sale, and many of them may be idling in a warehouse. In any case, the user is screwed because the NVIDIA RTX 3080 Ti, whether brand-new or used, is priced nearly similarly and NVIDIA’s 4000 series cards are pretty expensive.

Toni Kroos opens up about Germany’s group-stage exit from the Qatar World Cup 2022

0

Toni Kross won the World Cup with Germany in 2014. He was an integral part of the German team. However, Germany was eliminated from the group stage in 2018 and after a not-so-impressive Euro 2020 campaign, losing to England in the Round of 16, the Real Madrid midfielder retired from international football.

The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 was the first tournament for Germany since Kroos’ retirement. The Germans have once again failed to progress to the knockout stage. They lost to Japan and drew with Spain. Despite winning against Costa Rica, they were eliminated from the tournament courtesy of goal difference with Spain.

Toni Kroos opens up about Germany’s group-stage exit from the Qatar World Cup 2022

Toni Kroos has been spoken about Germany’s early exit from the Qatar World Cup 2022. He criticized his country’s setup despite the obvious talents across the pitch, while speaking to MagentaTV, via 90min.

The former German international said: “I know the boys, I played with them until last year. I experienced a group stage exit too four years ago, and of course I can sympathise a lot with them. I was extremely disappointed because I had big ambitions for Germany and I absolutely saw opportunities.”

“With the players we have, we should definitely be advancing from the group stage. If we get eliminated by Brazil in the quarter-finals, then we can say, ‘OK, Brazil had maybe eight world-class players and we only had four’. But nobody can tell me that we have less quality than Japan and that’s why we’re eliminated.”

Kroos continued: “One of the main tasks for the next tournament is to have a clear 11 of starting players, or at least 13 to 14. We have to play as many games as possible with the same team to develop automatisms. You can’t be changing the team every game.”

“We have to get to the point where we have a clear eleven with clear automatisms, both offensively and defensively, who know how to react to different situations in-game. When we’ve played 10 to 15 games with the same formation, I’m sure we’d be more resilient.”

“Being knocked out in the group twice in a row shouldn’t happen to us. It’s obviously not a problem of quality in my opinion, but a level of familiarity, resilience and automatisms.

“We have leaders and players who are loud on the pitch. Jo Kimmich is sometimes almost too loud. The same goes for Toni Rudiger, Manu [Neuer] from behind, Thomas [Muller]. With their hunger, mentality and quality, they have what it takes to lead the team.”

IPL 2023: Dwayne Bravo retires from IPL but will return as CSK’s bowling coach

Chennai Super Kings who earlier had let go of Dwayne Bravo appointed him back as a bowling coach. Bravo’s age and injuries lowered his impact in games. It will be interesting to see Bravo in a completely new role. He took the place of Laximapthy Balaji who is on a 1-year leave due to personal commitments. Mumbai Indians too got Kieron Pollard as their batting coach post his release.

Bravo recalled his playing days in IPL and has been a part of the tournament since the inaugural season, 2008.

ā€œI’m looking forward to this new journey because it’s something I see myself doing after my playing days is fully over. I enjoy working with bowlers and it’s a role I’m excited about. From player to coach, I don’t think I have to adjust much because while I’m playing, I always work with bowlers and try to come up with plans and ideas on how to have that one step ahead of the batsmen. The only difference is I will no longer be standing at mid-on or mid-off! I never thought I would be the leading wicket taker in the history of IPL. But I’m just happy to be a part of IPL history!ā€ Bravo said.

He has scalped the most wickets in IPL, with 183 wickets from 161 games. He mustered 1560 runs at a strike rate of 130 and has contributed to many victories for the team.

Bravo is the highest-ever wicket-taker in the IPL, with 183 wickets from 161 matches. The all-rounder has also scored 1560 runs at a strike rate of around 130, playing key parts in many victories for the Super Kings.

K.S Viswanathan, Chennai Super Kings CEO, said: ā€œCongratulations to Dwayne Bravo on a tremendous career in the IPL. He has been a crucial member of the Super Kings family for more than a decade and we are excited to continue the association. Bravo’s vast experience will be of immense value to our players and support staff. We are confident that our bowling group will thrive under his guidance.”
