Having launched its much versatile and unique product – the Mi TV Stick in Europe for €39.99 (about Rs. 3,435), we were all waiting for its India announcement. These days, Android Smart TVs are on the rise in India and people love how versatile an Android TV is but a wide range of audiences still wants to experience it without having to buy a new one.
There are a lot of Android TV boxes or sticks in the market including Mi Box 4K or Flipkart’s own Flipkart Turbo Streaming device, but Xiaomi wants to give more options to its customers. However, Nokia will be competing with Xiaomi this time as they prepare to launch their Android TV box via Flipkart.
A recent tweet from Xiaomi India does confirm the fact they will be launching this new budget Android TV box alternative in India on 5th August at 12 pm. Their #PlugItMakeItSmart campaign makes sense as the Mi TV Stick can easily be plugged into your existing TV with HDMI port and you can easily make your TV smart with Android TV OS running on it. As the Mi Box 4K costs Rs. 3,499, so Xiaomi should price it under Rs. 3k to lure more Indian buyers.
