Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 global version gets unboxed, pricing revealed

Xiaomi has scheduled a launch for the 15th of September and one of the products expected to be announced at the global event is the Mi Pad 5/ Pad 5. While there is still no confirmation on if the tablet will be revealed on that day or not, we can confirm that the new tablet will get a global release courtesy of an unboxing video that has surfaced on the internet.

The video was uploaded on Instagram by Belarusian Store NSV.by, the store has also put up a poster on the social media platform stating that the Mi Pad 5 is now available for pre-order.

In the video which was reposted on Twitter by Xiaomiui, we see that the Xiaomi Pad 5 will come in a white box just like the Chinese variant, however, the box is significantly thicker than the one that is sold in China, thanks to the included accessories such as a charger and a USB cable.

The film on top of the tablet shows a few specs such as a WQHD+ resolution, a high refresh rate of 120Hz, quad-speakers, a Snapdragon 860 processor, and a dual-cell 8720mAh battery.

The video also shows that the global version of the Mi pad 5 will be available in white and black colorways.

The store has put a price tag of BYN 1199($479) on the tablet and this gets you the variant with 6GB of TAM and 128GB of storage. This is significantly higher than the CNY 1999($310) price tag in China. The global launch will reveal if the official price will be lower or not.
