Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2021 and Xiaoxin Pad Plus revealed

Ahead of its scheduled launch on May 25th where Lenovo intends to release 2 new tablets, the Xiaoxin Pad Pro and the Xiaoxin Pad Plus, the company finally revealed some of the specifications of the devices.

Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2021

The Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro is expected to come with an 11.5″ OLED display with a 2560 x 1600 resolution, a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, HDR 10 and a 90Hz refresh rate. The screen of the Xiaoxin Pad Pro will be housed within a CNC machined metal body which will be 5.8mm thick at its thinnest point which is remarkable. The weight of the device is expected to be around 485g-490g.

The rumors of the Xiaoxin Pad Pro housing a Snapdragon 870 chipset seem to have been true. Lenovo confirmed those rumors and said the chipset comes with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It will support MicroSD cards for storage expansion and houses a USB port as well for USB OTG devices.

The Xiaoxin Pad Pro features four JBL speakers with a power of 6W which will ensure that the user gets the most premium audio experience. Apart from this it supports Dolby audio and has an intelligent audio mode.

The Xiaoxin Pad Pro will come with an 8600mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0 and will come with USB type C support. The fingerprint scanner for the device is buried under the power button, it will also support face unlock.

Lenovo will ship the Xiaoxin Pad Pro with ZUI 12.5 based on Android 11 with software features that make learning easier for students and an array of optional office accessories ranging from a stylus to a case that will allow the user to prop the device up in landscape or portrait mode will be available. The device will come with a standard protective case.

The pricing of the device is unknown.

Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Plus

The Xiaoxin Pad Plus will come with an 11″ screen as well except it will not feature an LCD panel. The screen resolution will be 2000 x 1200 with a brightness level of 400 nits.

According to Lenovo the display will be TUV Rheinland certified and will support 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity. The display will be housed in a slightly thicker 7.9mm body which bumps the weight of the device up to 520g.

The Xiaoxin Pad Plus will feature a Snapdragon 750 processor and will come with a 7700mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0 with a USB type C cable. It will also have OTG support and a MicroSD card slot.

Unfortunately the Xiaoxin Pad Plus does not have a provision for fingerprint unlock, but it will have the face unlock feature due to the presence of an 8MP front camera. The rear camera will be a 13MP one.

The Xiaoxin Pad Plus will ship with ZUI 12.5 based on Android 11 and will have the same features as the Xiaoxin Pad Pro in terms of educational software and accessories.

The price for the Xiaoxin Pad Plus is also unknown.

For now they are going to be released only in China, the introduction of these devices in other market seems to unlikely.
