Vivo T2 Pro 5G Debuts in India, Set to Hit Shelves on September 29

Vivo introduced the new Vivo T2 Pro 5G in India on September 22, marking the latest 5G smartphone from the Chinese brand. This new addition to the Vivo T series offers two color choices and boasts a curved AMOLED display. Interestingly, the Vivo T2 Pro 5G appears to be a rebranded version of the iQOO Z7 Pro 5G, which was unveiled in India just last month, retailing at ₹21,999.

The base model of the Vivo T2 Pro 5G, equipped with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, is priced at ₹23,999. For those seeking more storage, the top-end variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is available for ₹24,999. This smartphone is offered in New Moon Black and Dune Gold colors. It will be available for purchase starting September 29 through Vivo’s India e-store, Flipkart, and select retail outlets.

The Vivo T2 Pro 5G is a dual-SIM (Nano) device running Funtouch OS 13 based on Android 13. It boasts a 6.78-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, 388 ppi pixel density, and an impressive peak brightness of 1300 nits. The display features a centrally placed notch to house the selfie camera. Under the hood, it is powered by a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC, paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and it can extend up to 8GB of additional RAM.

The handset has achieved an impressive score of over 7,20,000 points on the AnTuTu benchmarking platform, claiming the title of the fastest smartphone in the under-₹25,000 price segment. To enhance gaming performance, it comes with a 3000mm square vapor chamber liquid cooling system for efficient thermal management.

In the camera department, the Vivo T2 Pro 5G features a dual rear camera setup, consisting of a 64-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an f/1.79 lens, along with a 2-megapixel bokeh shooter. On the front, there’s a 16-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.45 aperture. The camera setup supports various photography modes, including night mode, panorama, time-lapse video, dual view, portrait, and slow motion, among others. The smartphone offers ample storage with 256GB of UFS2.2 storage. On the sensor front, it includes an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, e-compass, and gyroscope, along with an in-display fingerprint scanner for authentication.

Vivo T2 Pro 5G is powered by a 4,600mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging. The in-house fast charging technology claims to charge the battery from zero to 50 percent in just 22 minutes. Moreover, it boasts a music playback time of up to 56.85 hours on a single charge. In terms of dimensions, it measures 164.10×74.80×7.36mm and has a weight of around 176 grams.
