Vivo’s next camera flagship is already leaking. Tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) shared details of the Vivo X500 Ultra on Weibo, including its display, chip, battery and likely launch window.
None of this is official, so treat the table as a leak summary.

Display and Chip
The leak describes a 6.85-inch flat BOE LTPO panel with 2K+ resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, symmetrical bezels and rounded corners, plus an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
Inside is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, model number SM8975, the same chip family now appearing in the OnePlus 16. See Vivo for the brand background.

Cameras Still in Flux
This leak does not cover the camera system. Separate reports say a 200MP periscope telephoto is being tested with several sensor sizes, and it is not clear which one will ship.
For the main camera, Vivo may use either a 50MP 1/1.28-inch LOFIC sensor with a 35mm focal length or a 200MP 1/1.12-inch LOFIC sensor.
Battery and Timing
The battery is said to be around 7,000mAh, smaller than the 9,000mAh cells in this season’s gaming phones but typical for a camera-led Ultra. The launch is tentatively scheduled for March or April 2027, which fits the X300 Ultra debut in March 2026.

Why It Matters
Vivo’s Ultra phones compete with the biggest camera flagships. A 2K+ 144Hz screen and the newest Qualcomm chip would keep it in that fight, and the camera choice will be the main talking point as sensor tests continue.
DCS has a good record on Weibo, but specs can change before launch.

How the Ultra Line Fits In
Vivo uses its Ultra phones to show off its best cameras, often with a large sensor, a long telephoto and imaging partners. That strategy makes the camera details more important than the chip, which is why the main sensor choice is the biggest open question here.
A 200MP main sensor would be a notable upgrade, while a proven 50MP LOFIC sensor would favour dynamic range and consistency.
Bottom Line
The X500 Ultra is more than five months away, so plenty can change. Check back when Vivo or certification sites share more.
