UTT and Aatral partner to bring Table Tennis to the Metaverse, Enhancing Fan Engagement

Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT) is joining forces with Aatral, a leading metaverse solutions company in India, to revolutionize fan engagement by creating an interactive and immersive virtual experience for table tennis enthusiasts. Aatral, renowned for its expertise in augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) development, will collaborate with UTT as the official metaverse partner, aiming to elevate fan experiences and establish a strong presence for the league in the virtual world.

UTT Season 4 introduces VR and AI-based mini-games for an immersive table tennis experience!

Recognizing the vast potential of the gaming industry in India, UTT is dedicated to providing fans with innovative ways to connect with the sport. This partnership signifies their shared commitment to innovation and fan-centric experiences.

UTT co-promoter Vita Dani stated, “Through this collaboration in the Metaverse, UTT and Aatral will offer fans a distinctive environment with a variety of gaming options and table tennis-related experiences. These games will deliver an unprecedented degree of immersion by utilizing VR, AR, and mixed reality, transporting players across borders.”

Fans will have access to three to four table tennis-themed mini-games, creating an engaging 3D environment. By the end of June 2023, fans can download and play these applications from the Google Play Store, App Store, and the official website. These downloadable games will enhance the interactive capabilities of mobile devices, allowing fans to enjoy the thrill of table tennis anytime and anywhere, fostering a deeper connection with the sport.

Aatral Founder and CEO, Prem Balachandran, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, “At Aatral, we are committed to providing our users with immersive and interactive experiences that bridge the gap between the physical and virtual worlds. By partnering with UTT, we are enabling our users to enjoy the thrill of table tennis in a new and exciting way, as well as creating opportunities for social connection, learning, and entertainment.”

In addition to the virtual experience, UTT and Aatral will set up experiential stalls at select venues, offering interactive stations where fans can engage in virtual table tennis matches using VR/AR equipment.

By embracing the metaverse environment, UTT aims to make a lasting impact on fan engagement, providing an unparalleled platform for fans to connect with their favorite sport and players in ways they have never imagined.

UTT Season 4, promoted by Niraj Bajaj and Vita Dani under the auspices of the Table Tennis Federation of India, will take place at the Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune from July 13 to 30. Six franchise teams will compete for the title, with live action broadcasted on Sports 18 and streamed on JioCinema.
