AVALONE Announced Its First Project: What Is It?

Have you heard of Avalone? Well, it’s hard to believe that you didn’t. AVALON is a fully remote and international studio that aspires to bring revolution in technology.

Recently it has announced its first project that is focused on the power of AI. It will be a metaverse project with user-generated content.

The global development team of AVALONE has many notable persons onboard. They include,

• Jeffrey Butler, team head and industry veteran who previously worked on world famous projects Vanguard: Saga of Heroes, EverQuest and EverQuest Landmark.
• While the rest of the members have worked on other renowned franchise projects such as Diablo, Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Elden Ring, and Assassin’s Creed.

As you may already know that AVALONE is powered by Unreal Engine and now it is working on a project no one has thought of. Let’s discuss this project in detail in the next section.

AVALONE And It’s New Project

AVALONE has announced that soon it will launch a project that no one has ever heard of or even thought of. Sounds exciting right, well it will be more interesting when you hear the complete idea of the project.

In this project players can leverage the power of generative AI tools such as Didimo’s Popul8 end–to–end character creation platform and Inworld AI’s character engine to craft character. With that players can interact with NPCs in new and innovative ways.

Till now no MMO or metaverse has allowed such a generative AI tool and that is why AVALONE has become a centre of attraction recently. In the words of Jeffrey Butler, chief product officer,

“We want to give AVALONE players control over the way they play, where creating is just as rewarding as questing – something that I began planning for even as I worked on EverQuest. With the technology and tools we’are developing alongside our partners, we want to foster a community for our namesake game that is able to create their own content and benefit from it, and immerse themselves in content that others have made and shared.”

In his words, Sean Pinnock, the CEO of AVALONE has also added,

I’ve always had a clear vision of a limitless online world where players are equipped with the tools to not only create whatever they can dream, but also share the experience across multiple connected realities. All of us nerds share this dream of an MMO that blurs the lines between the virtual and the real. When Jeff and I realized our shared vision, we knew we had to work together to create it. It’s too difficult for any one person or company to build, but we believe that by empowering our community alongside us, we can make something that fulfils the promise of the metaverse.

The simple idea behind this entire project is to provide players a platform where they can seamlessly move between different worlds. Even they are based in completely different settings like one is from fantasy and from cyberpunk or sci – fi, they can just move across them and play.
