Traitors Season 2 Trailer: 21 Celebrities Enter the Palace of Betrayal

Traitors Season 2 Trailer: The palace doors are opening once again. Prime Video India has unveiled the trailer for Traitors Season 2, and this time the stakes—and the cast—are bigger than ever. With 21 celebrities entering a game built entirely on deception, Karan Johar returns to host what promises to be an even more ruthless season of strategic betrayal.

Traitors Season 2: Key Details

What Makes This Season Different

Season 2 features 21 celebrity contestants drawn from across entertainment, music, and digital media, including Abhishek Malhan, Munawar Faruqui, Mallika Sherawat, Rhea Chakraborty, Shweta Tiwari, and Krystle D’Souza, among others. Unlike Season 1’s contestants, this new batch already knows exactly what they’re walking into.

This time, the 21 participants came knowing exactly what they had signed up for, which fundamentally changes the psychological dynamics of the game. Johar himself noted that Players entered the palace fully aware of the format’s twists and traps, armed with strategies, stronger instincts, and a ruthlessness that caught him off guard.

A New Twist: Meet “Boo”

Johar is joined this season by a new character named Boo, billed as the harbinger of “Buri Khabar,” or bad news, adding an unpredictable new element to the game’s already tense atmosphere. This addition signals producers are actively evolving the format rather than simply repeating Season 1’s winning formula.

Inside the Trailer’s Drama

The trailer wastes no time diving into conflict. Mallika Sherawat is shown telling Rhea Chakraborty “You were in jail,” while Shweta Tiwari gets embroiled in her own confrontation,</cite> setting an immediately combative tone for the season. The trailer closes with contestant Rida Tharana breaking down in tears, hinting at the emotional toll the game’s constant paranoia takes on players.

Meet the Full Cast

The cast blends Bollywood veterans with the influencer generation: Mallika Sherawat and Rhea Chakraborty make their reality TV debuts, joined by Shweta Tiwari, Dalip Tahil, Krystle D’Souza, and Parul Gulati from the entertainment world. Meanwhile, creators like Abhishek “Fukra Insaan” Malhan, Shark Tank India’s Aditya “Kullu” Kulshreshtha, beauty creator Rida Tharana, and cricketer Shubman Gill’s sister Shahneel Gill represent the digital-first crowd.

Rounding out the ensemble are MasterChef judge Ranveer Brar, rapper Ikka, socialite Shalini Passi, mentalist Karan Singh, and India’s youngest private investigator, Tanya Puri—a deliberately eclectic mix designed to make it nearly impossible to establish trust.

Building on Season 1’s Success

The first season premiered June 12 and quickly became a pop culture phenomenon, reaching viewers across 88% of India’s postal codes while generating significant social media buzz. That momentum clearly convinced Prime Video to expand the format for Season 2, both in cast size and production scale.

Reflecting on the show’s impact, Johar said Season 1 broke through the clutter of formulaic reality content, and the audience response proved viewers were ready for something fresh.
